Works great at a great price

I run a kids mountain biking team and am also the main mechanic. Shift quality issues pop up constantly and I keep these on hand for quick fixes. Any time there's the slightest suspicion of a bad cable, I can swap out and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Bike shop cables, while one could argue are maybe better quality, are not 20x the cost better, nor in my experience do they last any longer. Sure, a premium coated cable may work better or last longer, but the average recreational rider, or kid who is unusually hard on their bike, won't recognize that value. So if you have the know how to do your own cable replacements, these are great for that. Highly recommend.

These cables are no better than cromulent. But -- pro tip! -- if your bike touches dirt, fresh cables are better than posh not fresh cables, no matter what the brand. Changing cheap cables when your braking action starts to suck gets you better stopping power than leaving in $15 cables in through multiple maintenance cycles. Cheapo cables rule!!!

As a bike mechanic I go through a lot of cables. I have been using "slick" stainless cables for year, but many of the cables I've purchased lately are not "slick" as they claim. These ones are. Slick cables are drawn through a mandrel to make the surface smooth, and it helps the cable shift more smoothly as a result. I have installed 3 of these cables already, and they have fit everything from a large road bike to a hard tail mountain bike without any problems. I keep longer cables on hand for bikes that require them, but for most bikes these cables will do the trick.

I live just a few miles from the Pacific Coast, where almost everything rusts, including bicycle cables. So getting cables in large volumes for a good price is very important to me. These cables appear well-made, so if I can get a year out of each pair I'll be happy.

The cables are nice and long and are well finished, and the price is right.

I'm restoring a few bikes and these shifter cables are just fine. I put a set on my Vintage Bianchi Sport SX and they work great! I will definitely buy it again.

I don't like reusing shifter cables. At this price, I just replace them.

Cables are good, not bad for less than $15 CAD for 16 pieces. Not recommended for high-end bikes.
