This butter dish is ADORABLE. I like that the dish is dishwasher safe and has a tall lid to fit a stick of butter comfortably. The color is beautiful & the dish is easy to use. If I ever needed a housewarming gift for someone who likes a little whimsy, I’d consider purchasing again.

Holds my butter quite nicely. I happen to be a big fan of whales, this fits in with my decor nicely. It is durable and wasn't to expensive. Would recommend if you happen to be in need of a place to house your butter.

I was looking for a nice butter dish to bring some color to my counter top. This adds not only a nice navy pop of color; it adds character too! It's easy to use with the tail handle, holds a whole stick of butter and keeps the butter at just the right spreading temperature. It's been easy to clean and has so far held up to my 2 and 3 year olds trying to play with it. I'm very happy with my purchase and would buy it again if needed.

It’s very high quality! My cat dropped it from the counter and it did chip the fin, but that’s on me since the material is super heavy. It’s easy to clean, it’s cute and it works for the job.

Ever since I started getting Kerrygold from Costco, I can’t go back to regular old butter! I’m hooked! The only problem is that our butter dish was only good for one stick of butter, as opposed to the 8 oz bar that Kg comes in. When I saw this cutie on Amazon, i snagged it and I’m so glad I did! It’s freakin adorable! The color is even nicer than the display photo. Added bonus: the tail acts as a handle for lifting the top! But the best part? It fits my beloved Kerrygold! As you can see, the corners slightly touch the top when I put a new bar in but it sure beats having to cut it into sticks! As you may have guessed, we go through a lot of butter round here. I chalk it up to my French style cooking. So if you’re thinking of buying this, I say “oui”!

I can't add a lot that hasn't been said, but I can tell you that this DOES NOT fit Kirkland New Zealand butter from Costco. That's the only butter I use, so I just cut an edge off. It's not tall enough to put that edge on top of the block without torching. I don't care, though. The color is very nice and the design adorable. I love that you can use the tail on top to pick it up; a lot of butter dishes just have a flat top that's harder to pick up if your hands are slippy.

Colour is exactly as shown. Too small for a full block of butter as indicated in other reviews but perfect fit when cut in half. Absolutely love this item

Beautiful BUT doesn’t fit regular U.K. butter size without sticking to the lid-inner dimensions too short/shallow

The dish is too small to take a standard size block of butter. So it is useless unless you cut your butter blocks up.
