Can they be embrioderd on?

Yes, it is heavyweight cardstock. I have done several cards with new stitching dies and they are gorgeous! Good quality paper as well as a great sturdy weight.

On my canon ts9210 inkjet the prints are very dark and the ink is still wet when finished printing. does anyone know of a printer setting which work?

I can't speak to printer settings but try flipping the cards over before printing. There is definitely a shiny side and a more matte side. If your are printing on the shiny side the flip could help? I can verify they fold easily no matter which side is out.
