The author and artist do a wonderful job of profiling remarkable horse breed. Good for kids and adults.

Beautiful! Original design.
I had this book in its original format in the sixties, and now wanted a copy for my granddaughter. This is it! The lovely large format (9"x11"), the full-color Wesley Dennis paintings, the charcoal sketches on the other pages. The stories of the breeds are sweet. With any luck, she'll be able to give this to her daughter someday.

I loved this book then and still cherish it now
Bought this for my horse crazy 8 year old granddaughter. I still have the one my mother gave to me when I was about the same age 60 years ago. I loved this book then and still cherish it now. We compared the old and new books and the artwork is exactly the same. Ours came with the newer cover despite the photo showing the original vintage cover.which is what I thought I was getting.

Really, really interesting
My son was interested in learning about Shire horses and this has some really interesting things in it, written in an engaging way. He's been fascinated with all the horses and has learnt lots, it's beautifully laid out and the pictures really compliment the text. Awesome books as a seller; the book arrived in great condition as described and came in good time. Many thanks.
