Beware, if you buy it you will use it all the time :-)
The machine is really good, it is heavy and sturdy and easy to use. Yes there is some noise when it is working but like the washing machine you soon get used to it. we have only used an icecream mix in it but it comes out really well just like the Mr Whippy. The machine is easy to use with clear instructions on the display. Cleaning is simple and straight forward with everything unscrewing easily. The only downside is we eat a lot more icecream now but it has been an absolute god send in this heat wave and despite the initial outlay, it works out cheaper than constantly buying icecream.

Great.... WHILE IT'S WORKING
This is a superb machine whilst it works. The first one I had lasted less than 24hrs before the Auger motor died. It gave off an horrible electrical burning smell and ceased to work under pressure from the ice cream mix inside that was almost frozen. I found that after removing the front dispensing part, and, after getting ice cream mix everywhere that the motor would rotate a few times before stopping again, but that was without any mix in the machine. I contated Klarstein, who, I might add, gave me excellent customer service. They promptly sent me a replacement machine. Sadly, after only a few days, the same thing happened to the replacement. Again, Klarstein customer services were spot on. They arranged the return of the machine and have now refunded me in full. It's a shame. Because whilst it's working it produces great whippy ice cream. Personally, I think the refridgeration part of the machine doesn't regulate and just keeps feezing, thus, the mix gets harder and harder, which in turn, puts strain on the auger motor until it pops. Although Klarstein are based in Germany, the Ice Cream Machine screams out cheap Chinese parts to me. Had it been engineered in Germany it "may" have been a different story. Because of this, I've given the machine a ONE STAR rating. Klarstein Customer Services, on the other hand gets a 10 from me. Good luck to anyone that purchases one of these machines. I hope you have better luck than I did.

Absolutely great product. Kids of all ages love it
Without doubt the best kitchen gadget I have ever bought. Delivery in a very well packaged box. Supplied with a UK plug adaptor pre fitted as the machine comes from Germany. Putting the machine together is simply screwing in 4 big thumb screws which are the silver ones in the photos by the lever. Insert lever and push in a pin to lock in place. That's it job done. Have a quick read of the instructions, they are very clear and understandable. Instructions also include some recipes for ice-cream however we purchased liquid in 1 litre cartons and also some powder mix, both from Amazon. You really can't go wrong. It is as simple as pull out silicone lid on top of the machine. Pour in mixture and replace the lid. Press start and it's happening, ice cream will follow shortly. You can adjust the freeze time to suit your particular recipe. Refrigerating a litre saved around 6 minutes as apposed to room temperature. When dispensing the ice cream temptation is to pull down the lever as far as it goes and let it dispense as quickly as possible. This is wrong though. To get a much smoother cream that will hold its shape well needs to be done slowly. Slower the better. Clean up after is also very easy although a little time consuming. Once ice cream is all dispensed, remove the lid as before and pour in 1 litre of water. Press the clean button twice and the machine will start a 10 minute cleaning cycle. Once you hear the beep, dispense the water and repeat this 5 times. That's it. I do also like to take the front off with those 4 silver screws just to make sure all is clean. I had a small issue with the machine which was remedied with a quick chat with the supplier. Side note. A family friend has just got a brand new ice cream machine from a popular brand name begins with N. She is absolutely astounded with the quality of this machine and is contemplating sending back her new machine to have one like mine. A few weeks have passed now so a little update. I have usede this machine 3-4 times per week and have always been happy. I have however had a small problem. I messaged the seller who replied within the hour who sorted the issue and put my mind at ease. I am only adding this to my revirew as I remember reading another review which said seller messages were very slow. I am still very happy with my purchase.

Real Mr. Whippy Ice Cream at Home
I love this machine. I wanted a way to hit that nostalgic soft-serve craving at home and the Klarstein does it perfectly. It makes real soft-serve ice cream like you've had from the Mr. Whippy van. I've had it now for about a month, during which I've made up a batch of ice cream more-or-less every other day. Some observations from this time: - Easy to use, makes perfect soft serve ice cream every time (with a range of mixes - see below) - Batches of 0.5l get a good consistency after 40 mins, 1l about 65 mins - Different mixes hold different amounts of air, so will give more or fewer servings, but in general 0.5l of mix yields 4 large ice creams - Self-cleaning is pretty limited - make sure you properly take out the paddle and give everything a proper clean after each use I have tried many different mixes and recipes in this machine, and everything has come out great, but I have definitely discovered some which I prefer to others. Here are a few of my favourites: - Jersey Gold Pre-Made Ice Cream Mix: a little pricey, but easy to use; just pour it in. Yields a very creamy ice cream, albeit not one which hits that nostalgia spot (because it is too good). - Dessertify Classic Ice Cream Powder: per ice cream works out very cheap. You can mix with just milk, but result is too airy and light for my tastes. Instead I use 300ml semi-skimmed UHT milk + 200ml single cream + 150g mix (a bit less than instructions say), and this really hits my nostalgia spot. Objectively this is probably the worst tasting ice cream on the list, with quite a fake vanilla flavour, but still lovely and reminds me most of ice creams by the seaside. - Recipe from manual: manual has a recipe for a mix with just cream, milk and sugar. I tweaked it and used 200ml double elmlea (better than 'real' cream as emulsifiers keep mix stable), 300ml semi-skimmed UHT milk, 85g caster sugar, splash of vanilla extract. Blend it up to dissolve the sugar. Gives a very 'pure' flavoured ice cream which is a little denser than the other options but still great. - Franken-mix: this is my favourite mix I've come up so far with via experimentation, yielding a very creamy ice cream which holds its form really well (similar to McDonalds ice cream) with just the right amount of vanilla flavour. 250ml semi-skimmed UHT milk + 150ml Ambrosia Deluxe Custard + 100ml Elmlea Double + 60g Dessertify Powder Mix + 50g caster sugar.

When it breaks (and it will) - Customer services will leave you frustrated
Purchased the ice cream machine earlier this year, and this worked well for the first two months, delivering some good quality ice cream (I used premade mixes). I then noticed a burning smell during use and the machine stopped working properly (losing the ability to freeze the ice cream correctly), and I contacted the seller with concerns around a faulty motor/product. This is where things go downhill, and a quick look at other reviews indicates the problems I have experienced is a widespread issue. I'm told that I cannot return past 30 days, and I need to send the item back to a warehouse in Germany. That includes sourcing suitable packaging for a 30KG+ machine, and getting it to a courier office (in comparison to a seller-organized collection for heavy items outlined in Amazon's policy). I'm then offered a 20% discount to keep the broken machine and try to find the spare parts to repair myself. The supplier does not have spare parts, or share details on where to source. Further investigation shows this this a generic machine made in China (not Germany), and parts are not available. So in all, I'm being asked to front 80% of the product cost for scrap metal. Having pushed back on this, I'm then hit with more templated responses to advise they will not arrange collection, and I don't have the right to a return beyond 30 days. I'm now left out of pocket, and frustrated with both the machine itself and the customer service provided by Klarstein. Do yourself a favour - Don't buy this. It would be zero stars if I had the option.

Mr Whippy Ice-Cream At Home -No Pre-Freezing Needed
I ordered this Klarstein German brand ice cream machine via Amazon, which was shipped from Europe and I was able to track it easily. It arrived earlier than expected, which was fab. The machine is very easy to use. It is quite large, too tall to go under a kitchen cabinet (you need access to the top to pour the ice cream liquid into the machine). It’s heavy too, due to the built in refrigerant, so put it where you want to use it and let it settle for a few hours, like you would any fridge/freezer that’s new. The instructions are simple, just wash the drum before use and attach the handle. There’s no pre freezing required, like my Sage ice cream maker, just pour in your ice cream mix through the top and set the time and press start button, it freezes as it churns, the time counts down on the lit LED screen. Just pull down the handle and soft Mr Whippy style ice cream will come out. When I first tried it, my greedy hubby ate 2 decent sized cones. I’ve purchased the ready mixed cartons of ice cream mix on Amazon, the machine takes just under a litre. There’s also powdered mixes, just add milk, or you can make your own using Emlea double, a can of condensed milk and a little milk with vanilla extract, or whatever flavour you like. When making ice cream, always make sure it’s very sweet as it will taste much less sweet when frozen. It self cleans using water poured into the drum, it can then be emptied in a jug at the front, but I found, taking off the front and removing the drum to hand wash in a little soapy water then drying it was better. It comes with a cleaning brush and funnel. I can’t wait for my grandchildren to visit to try it out. Happy to recommend, especially when on offer.

Good but one major floor.
The black nozzle where the ice cream is dispensed from kept coming off due to the pressure of the ice cream and ended up buried in my ice cream cone. I had to design and 3D printed a replacement with a better fit myself. Otherwise everything works well and the partial self cleaning is convenient.

2 Maschienen gekauft beide Schrott!!!

Super Softeis
Was soll ich sagen.
