It was easy to install and charged up just fine. Used my speaker and played for at least ten hours and had 30% left. Charged battery and put the speaker up for another day. The tool broke due to not understanding how the cover is released to access the battery. Managed to get the cover up to change the battery without breaking it. Side note watch videos to get a feel of how to release the cover.

When my UE MegaBoom 3 speaker needed a new battery and the OEM option was nowhere to be found, I turned to this replacement battery. Despite being slightly larger in capacity than the original (3130mAH/22.5Wh 7.2V vs 3400mAh/25.16Wh 7.4V), it fit seamlessly and worked without any issues. After three months of usage, I can confidently say that this replacement battery does the job well. It holds a charge effectively, keeping my speaker running for extended periods without trouble. One crucial tip for users is to perform a calibration when installing the new battery. Charging it to 100%, allowing it to discharge completely, then leaving it plugged in overnight ensures accurate battery percentage detection by the speaker's circuitry. It was super easy to dissamble the speaker just be careful with the gasket, and forget about putting your speaker in the water after this replacement, at least I wont even try to do it. Overall, I'm satisfied with the performance of this replacement battery. It may not be identical to the OEM option, but it gets the job done reliably, keeping my UE MegaBoom up and running for extended listening sessions.

I didn’t want to leave a 1 star review without giving the seller the opportunity to correct my issue. I bought the replacement battery. After installing it, charging for 24 hours (with the power off) it only charged 50%. I contacted the seller. Then continued to charge the speaker (with the power off) for another 24 hours and the strangest thing happened, it dropped to 40% charged. I reached out to the seller again and 3 days later they still did not respond. It is not easy to open the speaker to replace the battery, but when you do, you expect that the battery will work. DO NOT BUY THIS BATTERY! NOT ONLY IS IT NO GOOD BUT THE SELLER IS COMPLETELY NON-RESPONSIVE! I WILL BE RETURNING!

Definitely look up a YouTube or I fixit video on how to replace the battery. The speaker is really not made to be taken apart and put back. Just be careful when taking the parts off. Other than that, it's perfect for bringing an older speaker back to life. Just don't think it will still be waterproof afterwards. Mine looks pretty good after. Just a few nicks in the grill.

Direct replacement for my UE Megaboom. The original battery was dated 2015. Went dead...time to replace.

Once i got the speaker open and replaced the battery the speaker came alive again after many years of charging it, fits like OEM

Works like oem no complaints was little challenging to fit water proofing back in its place
