I bought immune supplements for my boyfriend after he got sick twice back to back, and so far, they seem to be making a difference! He’s been taking them daily, and within a week, he mentioned feeling more energetic and less run down. I have been taking this supplement for one month, during which time I have not gotten sick. I take 2 capsules every other day to boost my immune system performance. They treated a group of patients with just chemo therapy and another group with chemo plus Immune Assist* (a blend of many medicinal mushrooms). The group taking the Immune Assist* did much better with the side effects of chemo and were shown to actually have a better success rate.When I first researched the study, I was expecting to see the product Shroomtech being used. It was actually Immune Assist* which is another company's blend. On the ingredients list on the back of the Shroomtech bottle, Immune Assist* was listed along with many other mushrooms. I emailed Onnit to see if the Immune Assist* listed on the bottle was the same one as the study. They responded quickly that yes indeed they use the ImmuneAssist* blend, in addition to other beneficial mushrooms.This is a "best of" when it comes toMedicinal mushrooms. On Amazon, with Prime, it would be $60 with free 2 day shopping. $15 savings for waiting an extra 1-3 days.Update 01/21/13: Forgot to update last month. I still have not gotten sick in any way. I do not take these every single day but I try to take them as often as I can. Going through winter I have seen plenty of others get sick.Update 03/21/13: Didn't have the money to buy more so I was off for about 3 weeks. Felt like I might get sick one of the days but I didn't. I'm back on and have 3 months worth. Haven't gotten sick in 5 months. I've also been taking multivitamins and eating healthier and fish oil so there are other factors, but I feel good about this product. Especially when compared to other mushroom immunity boosters. Shroomtech Immune has a much stronger blend of mushrooms.Update 05/28/13: 2 weeks ago I finally got sick. I was taking 2 shroomtech every other day. A couple of my friends got very sick, one ended up in the hospital for the night and the other was couch ridden for a few days. I started to to feel a bit sick on a Monday and by Tuesday night, I knew there was no denying I was getting sick. I took 3 shroomtech every day over the next week before I beat the sickness. I didn't go to the doctor so I'm not sure what it was, but it felt like bronchitis, which is what both of my friends had. Of my friends, I definitely was the best off, while sick. It was quite mild compared to them. I attribute some of this to my diet and multi-v regimen but I have to also say some of it came from the shroomtech. If you are already feeling sick, it's too late to take the maximum dose to stop yourself completely from being sick, but it will surely help with the symptoms and the healing time.

There's probably lots of scientific data out there to show that this stuff works and I have to say that I really do feel that this stuff helps boost my immune system. When I feel a cold coming, whether fever or that scratchy feeling in the back of my throat, I take this and the next day that sick feeling goes away. Now this works best taking daily and before actually getting sick, which I did not always do. When I got really sick, runny/stuffy nose, coughing... I had to get some real medicineI do a lot of traveling by air and plan on adding it to my daily supplementation. I hate getting sick!

I enjoy this product and will buy again I have purchased 2 bottles so far and the outer labeling had a slightly different look between the 2. the ingredients were the exact same but the color of the pills were different between the two bottles one noticeably lighter yellow then the other but both bottles well within the use by date. No bad or adverse effects from either bottle but somewhat worried about quality controls of the mixture or what temps it was stores @ prior to arrival at my door.

I started taking xtra when I was getting a cold and the cold never fully developed. not saying for sure it was this, but I will definitely order it again

I was coming down with a serious cold or flu... just feeling so out of it and exhausted, also preparing to head to the east coast for holiday time with the family when I decided to order these chaga mushrooms. They arrived and I started taking them every day. Within 1-2 days, my system cleared and I was able to enjoy my holiday time completely free of any illness. 10 days later I returned from my vacation -- even after a busy airport with sick people, family members coughing around me, and limited sleep while spending quality time with friends and family, my immune system has remained strong. I only ordered 30 capsules (I believe) and will be placing another order shortly since I know these work. I recommended them to my family and friends for sure.

Seems to be helping with my immune system! Been using this product for over 3months and managed to avoid waves of cold/flu that make their way thro our open working space. Usually I always end up getting sick but so far so good.
