Best self tanner I have ever used!!!!
I never write reviews but felt compelled to write this one! This is the BEST self tanner I have ever used. It gives you a rich golden tan, no orange tones!!! So easy to apply- I recommend using a hand mitt but not necessary. You can see clearly where the self tanner is being applied too which is helpful for a nice even tan. I even used it on my face and no reaction, just beautiful tan. I apply it before bed, after I exfoliate. Sleep with it on, then shower off in morning. It takes 8 hours to develop then you need to shower. No weird smell like so many self tanners. I am in love with this stuff! I apply it once or twice a week, that’s it! Highly recommend!! It’s expensive but you get what you pay for. I also have sensitive skin and this caused no reaction at all. Awesome stuff!!!

Perfect Tan Color
This is a great product. It is a perfect tan color. Easy dispenser pump to a foam product. Shake well, wear Rubber gloves!. They work the best for ME when applying. I use small squirts and work the color evenly into skin until dry, before I repeat in same order. Then I did more until I get a nice even tone all over my legs thighs and feet. Then I work my way up to arms in the same order. Small squirts and working evenly. I never had any streaking EVER with this product! Nice even bronze color not orange at all. Then the kick, is in about 3 hours you get a darker color. Leave it on over the day it develops into more color. Next morning, shower and it looks super nice. If you want more color add over your tan more color and do until you like color. I am a medium skin tone I did a med to dark color and it looks great. I did it about every 3 days. Did not come off on clothes. I never went in a pool or in a lake, so I'm not sure if it would come off after all day. I would think not until it was washed off with soap. If hot outside and wearing a white or lighter color bra I had some color bleed into edges but it wash out. Nice amount in large bottle. Bought in July and it still has a lot in bottle at mid August. But, I only did my upper arms, front, back of neck, shoulders and legs. This was my first time using and I liked it a lot. Great.

My Go-To Self Tanner for Years — With a Few Pro Tips
I've been using St. Tropez Self Tanning Mousse for several years now and it remains one of my most trusted self tanners. It delivers a beautiful, streak-free golden glow that looks natural — not orange, not muddy, just a genuine sun-kissed bronze. The color develops quickly after application, the scent is pleasant, and I've never once had an issue with streaking or staining my clothes. My application routine: I shower and exfoliate at night before applying so the color has time to fully develop overnight. I start with the larger areas of my arms and legs first — applying 2 to 3 pumps to each, then lightly blend onto the top of my hands, feet, neck and face. This trick prevents the telltale uneven buildup on those giveaway spots. One tip on the mitt: Skip the St. Tropez mitt. Mine fell apart quickly. I switched to the Bondi Sands mitt and haven't looked back. Important warning: Use it consistently and don't let it sit too long. An old or expired product turns a dark greenish color and looks very unnatural on skin. Fresh product only! Pros: Natural golden glow · No streaking or staining · Fast color development · Great scent · Buildable coverage Cons: Brand mitt isn't great quality · Product degrades badly if left unused too long Best for: Anyone wanting a reliable, natural-looking tan year-round without sun exposure. With the right prep and application technique, this is genuinely one of the best self-tanning products on the market.

Great color and easy to apply.
Great color. Easy to apply. Easy to avoid streaking. I just wish it lasted longer. I feel like the color disappears after a couple of days. Maybe that’s normal for this type of self tanner. It does dry quickly. It doesn’t smell bad. Overall, I’m very happy with it. I’ll just have to apply it more often than I would prefer.

Great tanner for uber pale skin.
Okay so first, I love this stuff. I have legit pale ass skin and not the pale like "Oh I'm kinda tan/olive skin so I think I'm pale..." I have LEGITIMATE pink pale skin. I do not tan. At all. This stuff however fools the world! One application and I have such a pretty glow the next day that isn't ridiculous. My favorite things about this are; Its extremely easy to apply since you can actually see where you've been on your skin, it comes out dark brown. It smells nice HOWEVER I will warn you when you sleep in it be prepared to smell when you wake up, I think the fragrance wears off overnight but that's okay! Because you've got to shower it off anyway.(and the stank is gone once you're done showering which is even better because most self tanners stick with you... ) Also, this threw me off in the morning after; Once you shower it looks like it all came off and your standing there like "WHAT THE FUNK." Still pale and ghostly.Well I was pissed off for a while until I passed a mirror again and noticed that I was darkening. SO beware that it looks like it all came off- Once you shower off the excess you'll start to tan so don't layer it over again or you're gonna go overboard. The great thing about this though is i can go out after a shower pretend I'm sunbathing. . . haha. "OH look what nature did... oh this? of course I tan naturally!" No one is the wiser. It gives you a GOLD color. Some people are saying brown and keep in mind it is still a sunless tanner. You won't turn strange orange like (i personally) do with jergens you get sun kissed gold, kind of like those magazine ads for ocean breeze scented perfumes... or whatever. But the undertones are brown which makes it a really nice color. It did not streak on me at all. None whatsoever and if you moisturize your knees and elbows and hairline before you apply you'll be fine. The only part it kinda blotched was the sides of my feet but those are dry as hell and I knew as I was applying that the tan would likely do that there. Also while I was applying i was pretty reckless and just rubbed all over, went over spots I already covered just to make sure I got everything and it all deposited evenly once I showered so it seriously seems goof-proof... I'm not sure how some people are messing it up, but meh. GET A MITT. This thing is wonderful. Probably the greatest accessory for ST. Tropez tanning because I would be lost without it. There is no way I could apply with my hands and get it as even. It's only $5 . . . if you're already spending the 30 on this you might as well get the mitt. The best tip I can give when applying to your face is to use a cheap ELF powder brush, squirt a bit of tanner on your mitt and swirl the brush in it then kinda buff your face like you're applying makeup. This gives me the most even coverage. PUT LOTION ON YOUR EYEBROWS THOUGH. Ha. For the love of god don't put the tan on your brows. If I had one complaint it would be the price, but honestly I'll pay it because its the only tanner I like for my skin and i'm clumsy with self tanners so the fact that its pretty fool proof makes it my best fran'. Also I love the wash off glow for some brief darkening if I prefer without the commitment. So.. get it on with that too.

If you're on the fence, jump over to the tan side
This stuff is the absolute bomb and if you are hesitating to buy it, do it, you won't regret it. I'm naturally pale and over the years have done everything I can to be tan. I used to sunbed tan and, when possible, lay out for hours a day during the summer. I love to be tan but even the sunbed tans didn't look great, I just looked kinda crispy. When I grew up enough to start foregoing UV rays, of course I tried the Jergens and it was okay but it didn't get me brown like I wanted. Then this spring, I tried a custom spray tan and it was AMAZING! It was brown and gorgeous, nothing like the spray tans at the tanning salons. I fell very much in love and wanted to get them all the time, but at $50 a pop it wasn't reasonable, and it also wasn't convenient. Thus began my search for a better at-home solution and this stuff is it. For best results, you must exfoliate well before you apply it. Make sure you don't have any lotions on except for knees and elbows. People recommend a mitt, but I've only ever used it with disposable gloves and it works really well and you don't get a lot of wasted product soaking in. I recommend shaving the morning or night before so you can moisturize after your shave and still exfoliate before the tan. I have shaved at the same time as my exfoliation and it's fine, but my legs feel dry overnight (until I can moisturize in the morning) and the tan can be a little darker in the hair follicles on my lower legs, but it's not a huge deal. I pretty much just followed the recommendations of the other reviews here. I start with my lower legs and work my way up, using 2 pumps for calves, 2-3 for thighs, 2 per arm (1 lower, 1 upper), 1 on chest, 1 on upper back, 1 on stomach, and 1 on lower back. Wipe in an upward, curved motion. The curve motion helps it blend and be less streaky. It will seem kinda wet at first but just keep wiping and in about 30 seconds it will be pretty much worked in. You can see the color as it goes on so it's fool-proof. When done applying, I take the gloves off, wash my hands, then use any excess on the gloves for the back of my hands and my face. Take caution around the wrists, that's where I've noticed the most line of demarkation because I wash my hands more often than anything else. Go for less around the wrists, especially on the underside. You can always take a baby wipe to any creases you think might overdevelop (like inner wrist, toes, etc). Apply the tan at night, it dries by the time you're done applying it but if you feel a little sticky you can put baby powder on and it won't affect the tan. Sleep in it, you'll wake up dark and kinda dirty looking, then I shower with soap and a loofah. The water will run brown. Pat yourself dry with your towel and moisturize all over. You'll have a gorgeous, natural-looking, golden brown tan. It's seriously so beautiful. If you want to be darker, you can do it again to taste. I've never done it more than twice (like two nights in a row). It builds well, still looks golden- brown, but I've found layering it makes it a tiny bit more streaky. It's not a big deal at all, mainly only noticeable in sunlight, but it just looks a bit less fresh and that's even with exfoliating before the second time. Definitely exfoliate before any time you apply. I was kinda bummed that exfoliating was necessary because it's kind of a pain to do, but I just use a sugar scrub and an exfoliating glove I got at the dollar store and it's not that bad, especially once you learn the areas that need the most attention. Exfoliating in circular motions is my quickest method. When I'm wearing this tan, I moisturize my entire body after every shower. This will help maintain the color and help it fade more evenly. It's standard fake-tan care. I used this product quite frequently and the bottle lasted me four months. When I re-ordered, I actually bought the darker version, because I wanted to be darker! St. Tropez Self Tan Dark Bronzing Mousse, 6.7 fl. oz. . It's more expensive but it is the perfect amount darker and still the same great quality, and still a buildable color. Don't fear if you think the mousse or your skin is kinda greenish, it's the green tint that leaves the brown color instead of orange. If you want to take care of your skin, love being tan, and are ready to graduate from things like the Jergens lotion that just don't cut it, try this product. I can't imagine using it with proper prep and care and not totally falling in love. I'll use it for the rest of my life. Worth every penny.

Skeptical at first.. But LOVE IT!
I have somewhat fair skin. I'm very white and I don't tan easily at all. But I don't really burn either. When I lay in the sun my skin gets a little bit of color and that is all. I read the reviews on here and saw a lot of people complaining about the fact that it comes out of the bottle green. Mine also came out green, but I still applied it all over my body anyway. I'm pretty sure that the green is normal because everything went the way it was supposed to. I did not use an application mitt, just some latex gloves and it went on pretty evenly! I had a couple spots I missed but that's my fault. It dries super fast--I think it could probably even dry a little slower to make application a little easier especially for beginners like me. It did not stain my white bed sheets or my clothes. I noticed a pretty big difference only 2 hours later! After I woke up the next morning I freaked out a little, because I looked pretty orange. Especially my face and I even mixed the formula with aloe vera based lotion for my face to lighten it up a little. I took a shower and a lot of orangish-grey went down the drain. I got out and looked in the mirror and the tan was BEAUTIFUL. No orange at all!!! I've never been this tan before and it usually takes me a good month to get a color even lighter than this by laying out! I am very happy with the end result and I kind of want to try to go darker but I'm a little nervous since this is the darkest I've ever been already. I'm probably going to reapply in 3 days and then stick to the directions of reapplying every 5-7 days. I hope the bottle lasts a while! This is a keeper!! Oh and also, in my opinion it smells really great at first, kind of a perfume smell, but then when it starts to react with your skin the smell isn't too pleasant. But this is normal for self tanners and it definitely doesn't smell near as bad as others that I've used!! It's pretty subtle. If this is your first self tanning product then this might be something you'd complain about, but try using other ones! Trust me this smell isn't that bad!

Natural looking but breaks me out
I do like it but it breaks me out. Interesting that it only gives me little itchy bumps on the lower part of my legs. Other tanning products have done this as well so I am Sensitive to some ingredient in these. I like that it is a foam and easy to apply. You can see where it is as well so that you do not miss a spot I use a brush and have not found one that applies smoother. It turns me a golden brown and looks natural.

Realistic tan color
First time using a tanning lotion so can't compare. Using a mitt I applied about 4 squirts each to arms & legs, easily spreads. After 3-4 hours a natural light color tan appears. I reapply later in the day for a slightly darker tone. It lasts about 4-5 days even after showering just don't rub it, then wears off slowly. It rubs off a bit on sheets easily washed off with laundry. Does not go on clothes, it requires friction like rubbing to remove. Very realistic tan color and I'll repurchase, one can has lasted about 12-14 separate applications.

Slechte zelfbruiner
Never again.
