What is the minimum voltage to make the motor turn? for instance would 2 rechargeable aa batteries would make it turn please? how about three?

I've just tested it down to 1.7V. It turned, but only slowly. So 2 or 3 AAs should work, even rechargables. But the higher the voltage you can use, the more speed and torque you'll get.

what is the diameter of the axle?

the diameter of shaft is 5.22 mm / 0.22 inch with 2 flats either side shaft length 8 mm hope this helps

What speed or RPM are these.?

It depends on how many volts you give them and if you fix wheels and put on a car the load will cause friction to slow them down. I tested them with no load with 5v across and they gave around 80 revolutions per minute. I used them on a car with a motor driver and found that with 4 rechargeable AA batteries around 5.2V that they were a bit underpowered so had to wire in a second small battery holder so I was using 7.8V to get them to work adequately. I have now built a second car using 8AA batteries and that works pretty well.

I’ve never done anything with electronics. What else do I need to make these run? Like wires, a battery etc, help would be appreciated :)

Deceptively slow but they do work as advertised

Don't expect high speeds, even with 12v, these are designed for low speed low torque toys, great for learning but limited applications due to their low power and poor build quality. Good for the price though.

Good, strong motors. Very versatile.

Used these to power Halloween props, they are quite powerful for their size and did not burn out even after hard use/heating. I got more to have for other projects. Very handy! Only problem is that the wheels can fall off in certain uses. I drilled 2 small holes in the center of the wheels, ran a thin double looped wire through the holes and into the hollow axle and put a steel button on the other side of the axle with the wires twisted together, that keeps the wheel from falling off. They are a bit noisy so keep that in mind.
