Very nice car, but could be faster. Still lots of fun!! GREAT customer service!!
This is my 3rd rc car I got in the past few months and for as nice as it is, it's a little slow. Maybe it needs some "break in" time?? I got a Deerc 302e which is much faster with a brushless system and smaller size, which makes it quite peppy and hard to control. A comparison would be unfair but comparing it to a Deerc 9026e (which is the same car) it is slower. Other than that everything else is perfect. I wanted a Deerc 200e (same truck but with a brushless motor and ESC) but decided on this because of the bad reviews on the 200e. I may convert it to brushless in the future but for now I'm thinking of getting an upgraded brushed motor as soon as I figure out which one has the best compromise of power and batt life. I will update this review once I replace the motor. As far as bang for your buck, this truck is perfect at a $99 (delivery fee incl). It is fully proportional and has a lot of parts available. It has a 540 motor and steel driveshafts & "cups". Comes with 2 batteries and 1 charger. An excellant truck for a newbie or someone like me, reviving a hobby I had in the late 80's ps- my Deerc 302e seems as fast as my old Team Associated RC 10. If you're looking for speed & power go with the Deerc 300e or 302e or maybe a 200e. I'm quite fond of the brushless system's performance. UPDATE-- I have upgraded to the 5 star rating. I was probably too hasty to say this car is slow. While not as fast and "torquey" as my 302e, it's plenty fast to get the job done. Top speeds aren't everything, its about having fun with the car too. Gets around in tall grass very well and does'nt flip over due to its low center of gravity. I do have a little concern about the motor temperature after 10 minutes of riding around the grass. It seems hotter than it should be. It wont pass the 2-3 second rule of thumb, if that's even a thing. But I'm sure I will keep this one and just ride it and have fun with it. Replacement upgraded brushed motors are cheap if this one does'nt last. Maybe a brushless upgrade in the future since I like the way this larger car handles. ps- love the "headlights". Update on motor may 19- The holyton is now as fast as my deerc 9206e and the motor no longer gets hot enough to burn my finger. I put a small amount of silicone dielectric grease on the commutator and been running it for hours. I guess the motor did need some break in time. Note, make sure (if you have a brushed motor) that the heat sink does not cover the holes in the motor. The holes need to be open for proper motor cooling. Mine came from the factory with the holes covered so I just slid it down away from the holes. And I always check it when I do a battery change. Very happy with the holyton 9205e!! June 1.---Well the motor did burn up and locked. I must say that customer service is the best!! I contacted the company and they sent me a new motor. It just arrived and I installed it, now the car works fine and seems faster than the old one. It don't get as hot either. Thank you so much for the great customer service. June 15- ps- I have another Deerc rc car and had a few problems. After contacting the company they said they would send me a new replacement. No long forms to fill out or red tape. Just a simple email to Deerc to solve my problem. Also if you call them during their normal business hours, you have the pleasure of speaking to a person and not a computer. If that's not good customer service, I don't know what is. 5+ stars and a thumbs up to Deerc company!!! update- April 2023- The car is still doing fine after a year of playtime. I actually wore the tires almost bald and had to replace them. That should give you an idea of how much the car was driven. The replacement motor that Deerc sent me is doing fine, but I had the itch to go faster. So I upgraded to an Injora 27T motor which is available on Amazon. What a difference!!! It has enough torque to climb over obstacles and also has a much faster top speed!! Under certain conditions it will pop the ft wheels off the ground, something it never came close to. Back to the car- For the selling price and the money I put into maintainence (still less than $200), I am totally satisfied. And I feel like I should mention again that Deerc (who makes this car) Has the best customer service!!! This is a very common and durable chassis which Deerc uses in many of their models, including the 2 new brushless cars, the 200e and 210e. I had a Deerc 9206e and that car was identical to the Holyton 9205e. The only difference was the color of the body. Anyone looking to get into the hobby, get a Deerc rc car. With the durability and great customer service you can buy with confidence. By the way, even though I'm not afraid to take my car off road on many different terrains I DO NOT go to skate parks and sail my rc car 20 ft in the air, like seen on too many u-tube videos. I just don't get the point. Spend 1 to 2 hundred on a toy only to trash it at a skate park??? Just something to keep in mind when I say the car is durable. If you sail your car 20 ft or more in the air I can predict the future. You ARE going to break it.

Excellent R/C car at a great price
Bought this Holyton 9205S truck for our 9 year old daughter who loves R/C cars after we saw some people playing with some very fast, expensive monster trucks. I wanted her to have something fast and 4 wheel drive so she could drive the truck over any terrain. She loves it! This truck has greatly exceeded our expectations so far. It is fast, probably 20-25 mph on pavement. It runs slower on grass and gravel, but still pretty quick. It is also very durable. We've run it quite a few times in the past month, and crashed it into hard objects at full speed. The only damage we've inflicted is some scratches on the chassis, body and bumpers. This truck just keeps going! There is also a speed adjustment on the controller so you can dial back the top speed to be able to let a kid or an inexperienced person learn to drive it. It comes with 2 batteries, and we get about 20 minutes run time on each, which is what's advertised. The only downside is the time it takes to charge them, which is around 2-3 hours each. Amazon does sell a set of 2 additional batteries with an upgraded charger for around $30, which i'll probably purchase soon. If you buy this, go ahead and order a pack of R/C truck body clips. We seem to lose one every time the truck takes a hard flip or roll. Amazon also sells these for around $7 per 150. The truck comes with a small bag of spare parts and a lug wrench, which is a nice touch. I built an R/C monster truck back in the 90's, and i can say that this truck blows that old truck away in every category. I had no idea you could spend less than $100 and get something that is so good and so much fun. I can't say enough good things about this truck. It puts smiles on our faces every time we run it.

Good value, but hard to find replacement parts
We bought two of these for our kids for Christmas. This is a fast car. I would recommend turning down the speed on the controller for inexperienced drivers. With two batteries, this provides a solid hour of fun. Pros - Easy to operate - Fast! - All terrain access - Speed can be adjusted to slower and faster speeds for different skill levels Cons - If you like off road and do sharp turns, you'll likely end up with broken tie rods and wheels - Spare parts are hard to find. I've only been able to find them from various sources that ship from China. It usually takes several weeks to get parts, so keep that in mind - Quality is slightly below what I would expect for a car of this price range, but it isn't terrible. Just know going in that you will need to source spare parts Overall, we've gotten quite a bit of enjoyment out of this R/C car. My single biggest issue is the parts. If it came with some extra tie rods and a spare tire, that would be a big step in the right direction. Definitely more affordable than a Traxxas, but the quality difference is notable. Because of the issues we've had with the same components breaking on both cars, I gave it 4 stars.

Super Fast + Super Fun + Super Good Service
I purchased this car as a gift for my 11 yr old son and he loves it. This car absolutely rips and his eyes lit up the first time he hammered the accelerator. The 4 wheel drive system is really awesome as the car still rips as it transitions from pavement to grass or dirt. The suspension is really great too and it allows you to have a nice cushion if the car happens to catch some air. The range on the car is really great as well. One other thing that I noticed with the car is that there are many opportunities to customize or dial the car in to your liking. For example you can adjust the orientation of the suspension to make the car sit lower or ride higher. That's a really cool aspect because the car becomes more of something my kid to tinker with as opposed to only driving the car. However, I do have a couple words of warning. With Speed Comes Risk: Like I've said multiple times this car goes super fast, and my son has had a few serious collisions. Fortunately the car has held up, but you can tell it can only take so many full speed head on collisions into a solid object. This car requires a bit more refinement in driving skill. Expect some parts to break: As stated above the car goes fast and it's not meant to take heavy collision after heavy collision. For us the removeable body that's mostly for aesthetics has cracked in several places and the spoiler broke off super quick. Those are not core pieces and don't affect the driving, but just expect that stuff to break down as you use the car and have fun. Service: One part of the car did break for us that rendered the car undriveable. Again, this was the result of a serious collision and I don't fault the quality of the car for breaking in this case. I reached out to the service group listed in the manual of the car. They got back with me quickly and asked for photos of the problem. They then recognized the issue and are in the process of shipping me parts at not cost under warranty. On that note I did not mention any warranty to them, and I had started off by offering to pay for the parts. They were the ones that brought the warranty to my attention and insisted on sending me the parts at no cost as part of the warranty. This really is a great car for kids (or adults) who are a bit more advanced and can handle the speed.

Very impressed with a great RC car!
I bought the 920SE 4x4 High Speed RC car for my grandson's 9th birthday. Wow! What a gift. He absolutely loves it! I opened early so I could have the batteries fully charged when he opened it. The car/truck looks awesome. Right out if the box, my grandson had it together in a flash. With just a few minutes going over the details of the controller, he was outside driving away. This is one fast car!!! We had to trim down the speed and steering response for a few minutes to get used to the controls. But that didn't last long. It was no time till he had it turned up and had the car speeding everywhere. I was impressed with how well it traveled on all different terrain. It's seems to be very rugged, which is important to me, since a 9 yo can be quite rough on things. Grass, sand, a little water, concrete, rocks and sticks, this car takes it all. The size of the car is great at 1:12 scale. I really like the way the body and spoiler are held with cotter pins. It makes removing the body for battery replacement so quick and easy. The body is great. The style gives the body lots of flexibility and toughness. I do wish that the small pins were possibly attached to the body by a small wire or something, to help my grandson keep up with them when he takes them off. It is a great idea that you included extra cotter pins, because as small as they are, they're easy to lose. Battery life is great! And the fact it came with 2 batteries, even better. We get 20-25 mins of good, fast paced, hardcore play from each battery. Battery life is part of the reason I purchased this. It really stinks when you buy something like this and the battery won't last even 10 mins. Kids tend to lose interest real quick when a new toy battery dies that fast. This is one great purchase. The last 3 days have been fun filled. Thanks for making such a great 4x4 car!

Great RC car - no matter how old you are
Like the title says - This RC car definitely makes ok to be an adult and enjoy an RC car! I have to admit that when I bought this car, I tried to convince myself that it was really for my 12 year old son. I would have kept that promise if the RC car showed up and was junk or small or not too powerful with bad steering (like many other RC cars out there in this price point). HOWEVER - I was completely blown away with this RC car. Better than I could EVER imagined. It is incredible! The steering is nimble and reactive. Tires are fat with great grip, no matter the surface. I'll talk about power in a minute.................. The car looks really nice. The front lights add a nice touch and make it feel like a real car. I'll talk about power in a minute......... Back to steering - the steering correction dial and the steering power dial make it so easy to control steering in real time, it is very impressive. I'll talk about power in a minute.............. The car body is nice and light. Easy to take off with the cotter pins. Nicely painted and fairly durable. I've flipped the car a couple of times already (I'll talk about power in a minute..................) and nothing has chipped or broken off. Seems very durable. I'll talk about power in a minute.................. Battery is good too. Comes with an extra, which is really nice. Makes it so you can stay out even longer enjoying this thing. I have driven the car over grass (I'll talk about power in a minute..................) and it does really well. The battery can keep up with the demand. I'll talk about power in a minute.................. The chassis is nice as well. Great simple layout, and good weight. It helps stabilize the car and makes it feel beefy. I'll talk about power in a minute.................. Remote - Not sure where to start - it is AWESOME. Seems like it is the standard in the industry, but I have to say that it fits in your hand nicely (with curves for better fit) and the steering wheel has a nice foam grip making it easy to control. I'll talk about power in a minute.................. Overall I am really impressed! great quality and great price. Excellent performance! Did I forget anything? Oh yeah - POWER - let's talk about that (finally). Can you say F-A-S-T?? This car is unbelievably powerful. Drives at over 25 miles per hour with incredible burst. So much power, that if you do it right it WILL drift. The throttle dial is nice, because I could put it in the hands of my son (yes, he did finally get a chance to drive it after begging for an hour) and he didn't crash it or send flying it over the edge. Overall, I give this product a 5 out of 5 stars! a MUST GET!

Decent car for kids or fist time users.
I bought 2 of them for my kids. ---For my younger one (12yr old) it's great. Handles great, has a decent battery life and it's not that fast so it's great for him as a starter car. --- For my older son (16yr old) definitely not the one to go with. Same as above, but it is relatively slow and needs to tuning and upgrading to be exciting. We ended up buying a diffrent one for him. ---- anyone who is into the rc realm or is a enthusiast will not enjoy. For me it's too slow off road or not the suspension is way too lose, and the SHELL AND SPOILER ARE JUST HELD ON WITH CHEAP HOOD PINS. Any moderate or more fan of RC cars would have to spend more the price of the car to get it dialed in.

Super car and a great deal!
Go into amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Holyton-Remote-Control-Car-Waterproof/dp/B08B1F3494/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=holyton+rc+car&qid=1604888325&sprefix=holyt&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSkVFVVZSTEYwRDVCJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTYwMDg0MTVSTEFGMkVHTjhJRyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMzI1ODI3MkJQQlRHWVgxSTNQWSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob25lX3NlYXJjaF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl Go to reviews and post the below. I was looking for a birthday gift for my 8 year old daughter that would allow us to spend some quality time together that we would both have fun doing. She had been asking for a while for a RC car and I was hesitant to spend the money on a piece of junk that would not keep her interest by being too slow or spend the money to get what I wanted but would be too difficult for her to operate. I did some research on Amazon and found the Holyton 9205E 4wd Race Truck. It was Amazon’s Choice, had outstanding reviews, and was reasonably priced! Not to mention it had a 20% off coupon. One thing I really liked was that you are able to turn the speed down to allow your child to get accustom to driving. And when you turn the speed up, watch out. The car flies. It’s all terrain tires and four wheel drive allows it to go virtually anywhere. The truck is built to take a beating. We have flipped, rolled, and full speed crashed head on into cement curbs and haven’t broken a single thing. Unbelievable. I would recommend this truck for kids and adult kids at heart. We have so much fun together. Only con, if you call it that, I’ve noticed so far is that my daughter accidentally hit a deep puddle in the grass and some moisture got inside the batteries outside plastic casing. However, the truck never stopped working and after air drying the battery overnight the moisture was gone. This truck is a buy and I have recommended it to everyone I know.
