Works really well. A few trial/ errors in getting the collet to properly grip the projectile for remove. 100x better than the inertial hammer method. Marks on the pull projectile were very minor to almost none. While the provided instructions were clear, watching a couple of internet videos realy helped in set up the puller to my press.

I have an embarrassingly large tub of failed reloads I've been meaning to pull and figured this would help save time over using my kinetic puller. It works great for rifle bullets and you can even reuse them if you adjust it just right. As far as pistol bullets, it works fine on 9mm 115 and 124 round nose jacketed but will not grip good enough on any of the lead bullets I've tried, it just squishes them and slips off. That is OK, I kind of expected that. I'll have to use the old kinetic puller on those. For rifle bullets like I said, if you adjust it properly you can get real nice pulls that can be reused at least for plinking ammo. It's quick to use, too. And easier/quieter than the hammer style kinetic pullers.

This was easy to put together and screw into my old Lee single stage press. It’s easy to use too as long as you carefully follow the instructions, especially these two things. First, don’t let any part of the case get inside the collet or it could get stuck and when you get it out, doubtful you’ll be able to used again, as I found out. Also, too much pressure all leave marks so bad on the bullet it will be unusable. You can find the correct collet below. This is an amazing tool to have in your reloading arsenal. Hornady makes great quality tools. This tool was easy to set up and it works with a wide variety of presses. I sued this in station 1 of my Dillon 550b press and it worked just fine. I needed this to fix a mistake in which I seated some bullets too far into the case. It worked perfectly and I was able to reuse by seating a different bullet. My only gripe is this isn't a perfect solution, if you are not careful it can damage the bullets when you pull them out. My recommendation is to seat a few trash bullets and practice pulling them before using this on bullets you want to reuse. The key is pressure, to little and it will scar the bullets surface and too much and it will deform the bullet. Once I got use to using it the bullets came out with ease and only a small scratch where the collet touched the surface.

I picked one of these up on the advice of a friend. I was using one of those bullet pulling hammers to break apart bullets. I like this much better. I feel more comfortable carefully removing the bullethead in a gentle manner as opposed to putting it in the hammer and slamming it against the floor. Who thought that up anyway? I put this in a Lee single stage press. It took about a minute to install and adjust. Then I started pulling heads on my small tub of bullets that did not pass case checking. It makes the process very easy. I normally separate bullets into three categories when I reload. One are the ones that pass case gaging, they get used for matches and practice sessions. The second group are the ones that just failed case gaging, I put those into a small bin and will use them during practice sessions. Most of them barely failed case gaging so they still shoot well, but some will jam in my gun and I like to have that happen in practice (and not at a match) so I can quickly assess and clear the jam. It makes my shooting and gun handling much better and faster. The third group are the opnes that failed case gaging badly, or ones that had an obvious issue so I never even case gaged them. I pull those apart and reuse the components.

My rifle range isn't exactly nearby, so I make up batches at several charge weights when loading for my Garand, and trying new components, and my kinetic bullet puller was never great when it came to my crimped .30-06 cartridges. With this, they come apart easily, and no powder is lost, or risks getting mixed with anything that might have been sticking to the sides of the puller from a previous use, and it is FAST. I can probably pull a full clip of 8 with this, in less time than it would take me to use the kinetic puller for one. I use this is my Lee Classic Turret press, and it works just fine, but the hex locking nut doesn't clear the lee-style nuts of the other dies in the turret

Update: pulled a number of other calibers and bullet types, once you get the depth and cam engagement you could even potentially save the bullets for re-use. At a minimum, you can recover the powder, case & primer. Works very well, much better than the cheap bullet impact pullers, the only well designed bullet pullers using an impact design were the ones with the auto-collect in the back of the bullet puller head, but the company appears to have gone out of business and mine finally broke. This system will not break in that type of failure mode, and no shock to the primer/powder/case/bullet. Works great on .223 bullets, pulled a few hundred rounds of defective remanufactured ammo for a friend who was sold the ammo without mentioning it was remanufactured (out of spec). Bought the extra collets but haven't tried the others yet. Very fast and easy once you set it correctly.

Works great for multiple bullet removal. Must use hornady collet. Separate purchase for specific caliber. Quality as expected.

Works as it should. Way better than a bullet puller. Less mess, quick to use, easy to set up

This is a great piece of kit, you need to also purchase the appropriate calibre size collet. This is far quicker and less fiddly than a kinetic bullet 'hammer' type puller.
