Quick Release Horse Tie 5 Breakaway Tension Levels Black - 2 pcs

I bought these after a horse pulled back in our barn’s cross ties and the existing breakaway setup failed, actually pulling the hardware out of the wall. I wanted a more predictable safety release and decided to give these a try. For the cross ties I use most often, I set both Safe-T-Ties at about the halfway setting. I didn’t have to wait long for a real-world test. My mare, who had never pulled back in the cross ties before, unexpectedly spooked during a veterinary exam and hit both ties at once. Both Safe-T-Ties released immediately and at essentially the same time. Instead of continuing to fight the cross ties or damaging the wall, she was simply standing in the aisle with the ties still attached to her halter. I picked them up like lead ropes, walked her back into position, reattached them, and we continued the exam. Even the veterinarian was impressed. She said she had never seen them before and liked how they worked. I had never used this product before and honestly wasn’t sure how it would perform in a real pullback, but it worked exactly as described when I actually needed it. They’ve stayed up in our barn and have apparently released for at least one other horse since. I would absolutely buy them again.

I like them! They work as expected. Good amount of resistance but open in an emergency. Good alternative to a breakaway halter.

I am currently working with my gelding to not pull back when tied. This gives me peace of mind. I can securely tie him while knowing that he will not hurt himself if he pulls back. The closure is secure and holds up to normal horse movement, but will pop open when you need it to. Will continue to buy!

My TB does not challenge these (or at least not yet), we like to use these on our trailer and cross ties to prevent breaking our break away halter when they pull suddenly BUT we have had other horses challenge them - they pulled just a bit and figured out quickly that it did not take much for these to open and get them loose... So while the idea is great I think it depends on the horse how usable they really are, if you have one that likes to challenge things - prob not very useful for long. Works for us so far

Perfect for a horse that might surprise you with a pull back. Mine randomly and infrequently panics when released from a stock trailer. This keeps her from breaking anything.

I love these things for tying my horse. I use one for my daily tying when saddling up to ride etc & when we go places. Have used them inside the trailer in the past also when he was a youngster.

Great product for any horse owner. We use it for trailering or tying up the horses to have a quick release in case of emergency. It is sturdy and durable while releasing if the horse panics.

Horse can easily pull back and get free. Hence learns to do this very quickly. We no longer use the product. So it's a waste of time and money
