This is one of my favorite movies

well I am a little bit older and I tried raising my daughter on the classics that I grew up on. I have to say she loves them she has beg for this movie for a long time now and I decided to go head and find it and order it for her and me as well. she took this and watched it a few times now that she can put it on when ever she wants. the cd was tight in the case and was just as would expect to get when you your self walk in a store and buy it. a very cute movie that anyone would love to watch and it gives a child a good a emanation that is good for kids growing and learning. it is a fun and musical movie..

Love this movie. I grew up watching Pippi Longstocking. The dvd is just like I members it and the picture was clear.

The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking was one of my favorite movies growing up. It is such wholesome, good fun! I recently bought two copies - one for me and one for my sister so we could relive our childhood memories! Even as an adult, it still does not disappoint! This is a great family movie - great for movie night. There is nothing in here that would worry parents. Pippi is a highly energetic, adventurous girl who even makes cleaning fun! The songs in the movie are so catchy that you will be singing them for days! I would definitely encourage parents to buy this for your children and pass the spirit of Pippi Longstocking (a girl who is determined, witty, and confident) on to future generations! This movie is a classic!

My uncle played in this movie. We absolutely love it.

This was a cute update of an old favorite. It takes a few liberties with the original story, but still a pretty good show. It was purchased for my 8 year old daughters who have recently become fans of Pippi after we read the books together The Pippi Longstocking 4-Book Set: Pippi Longstocking, Pippi Goes on Board, Pippi in the South Seas, and Pippi on the Run . They were thrilled to see the movie depicting their favorite character. Pippi is supposed to be the strongest girl in the world and in this movie, rather than physical strength she has what is more like magical powers and that was slightly disappointing, but still entertaining. While this movie is a must have for Pippi fans, my daughters seem to prefer the older version with it's sequels (all dubbed in English) because they were truer to the original stories. I was very happy to be able to get this special DVD and be able to share it with mt six year old granddaughter! I am a retired teacher and showed this movie at the end of the year to my kindergarten classes from 1995 thru 2000 - many years ago. They always loved it and so did I ! Unfortunately I must have given it away sometime after the year 2000 when I retired. My granddaughter finished kindergarten this year and I really wanted her to get to see it ! Since then, I found out from a friend who vacationed at Amelia Island and on Fernandina Beach in Florida that the movie was filmed there. She borrowed this movie and was thrilled to see scenes filmed at places she saw on vacation. Now I have two more adults waiting to see this movie. I would highly recommend it to both kids and grownup - Once you watch Pippi and her fun adventures you'll never forget her!

自分の子供にもピッピの映画を見せたいと思って買いました。男の子でも楽しめる内容です。 彼は「本当の話なの！？」って聞いてきました。 音楽も素敵です。私が子供の頃によくみていた映画ですが、息子と一緒に楽しめてよかったです。 英語音声＋日本語字幕で観ました。 I bought it because I wanted to show Pippi's movie to my child. Even boys can enjoy it. “Is it true!?" he asked. The music is also wonderful. I used to watch this movie when I was a child and I am glad I could enjoy it with my son. We watched it with English audio and Japanese subtitles.

Gracias Amazon por traer esta pelicula a Mexico. cuando era chico mis papas la rentaron en ese tiempo en el extinto VideoCentro que teniamos en Mexico a principios de los 90. en VHS. me gustaba tanto que mis papas se cansaron de tener que estarla rentando siempre y convencieron a los de la tienda de rentas que se la vendieran (bastante cara ya que no se podia). y nunca la volvi a ver en ninguna parte en VHS o DVD en Mexico. una lastima que al parecer aqui casi nadie vio esta excelente pelicula. les recomiendo que la compren y la vean o si tienen hijos chicos deberian comprarla y ponersela a sus hijos. una pelicula muy buena y diferente a las que se hacen hoy en dia. el unico problema es que solo viene en region 1 de USA y no region 4 de Mexico. pero al parecer es por que aqui practicamente no existe la pelicula. si tienen un DVD Multiregion lo lee sin problemas. viene con subtitulos en español.

This is not a review of the film itself - you're reading this, so presumably you already like it! It is, rather, an attempt to guide you towards choosing the best DVD issue for you. Firstly, as far as I am aware, at the time of writing, Pippi 1988 has been issued on DVD in just four countries: the US, Holland, Germany and Italy. From an English speaker's point of view, you can't go wrong, as all of them feature the original English 2.0 Dolby Surround soundtrack and English subtitles. The main difference between them is that the US region 1 DVD has a 1.33:1 (fullscreen) aspect ratio, open matte image, in the NTSC format, whilst all of the European region 2 DVDs have a 1.85:1 (widescreen) aspect ratio image, in the PAL format. In a nutshell, the European editions are best, especially if you have a widescreen television, as they're in the original theatrical aspect ratio. They won't, however, play on most US televisions. The US DVD is ok, if you must have it; it will also play fine on any region free European equipment. I loved it

Un vieux film des années 80 que j'adorais enfant. Mes fils de 5 et 3 ans sont mega fans: il y a une fille très débrouillarde avec des pouvoirs, des pirates et du trésor, de l'aventure... ça a vieilli mais ça couvre toujours beaucoup de rêves d'enfants qui ont la bougeotte. Depuis que nous l'avions acheté il est réclamé sans cesse et les chansons sont chantonnées souvent.
