Thread conditioner
Good thread conditioner, which helps when hand sewing. Thread pulls more easily, without twisting and tangling.

Definitely "Magic Thread"
I really love this product. It is absolutely the best for strengthening thread and especially when tatting and you have to close a ring, the tension the thread gets when the ring closes is huge. I have read on the internet that people hate Lisbeth 40 and 80 thread as it breaks all the time in use, and with this Magic Thread there is no breakage at all, unless of course, you manipulate the thread too mujch then it goes beyond the breaking point and then it will snap. If I finish this product and I have used as much of it as I can, I will definitely be ordering some more. The product is fabulous. It doesn't leave any residue on the thread, but the thread runs smoothing as you are tatting, or crocheting, or sewing. Love it.

A good product for threadwork of all kinds
Threadmagic is a well known product for making thread less likely to tangle, easier to go through fabric and beads, less likely to fray, and generally a bit more durable over time. I think this is a silicone based product, not a wax. It's a tiny bit sticky, and does become a bit gritty as any extra amount comes of the thread during use. But if you are working with thread that frays or is uneven (like the glitter thread I'm using) then something like this is a must. I'm not using the bit that attaches to the sewing machine, so can't say if or how well that little thing works.

Made a HUGE difference!
I didn't know I needed this in my life. I was struggling through a very large cross stitch project where I was getting constant knots and breaks. Once I started using this I was able to speed up my work significantly. I still get occasional knots, but they are much easier to get out, and I haven't had a single thread break once. I have also tried using the beeswax discs, but found myself buying more of this as Thread Magic is far superior to those discs, at least in my experience. I bought this dual pack as it was better priced, but I found that having the smaller one next to me while I work is better for me as I can just grab it and go when I have a new string. I know it's meant for a sewing machine, but Im doing cross stitch so I don't need it on my machine. An earlier review suggested that they just use the small one and refill from the bigger jar and I find that is very helpful and thats also what I do. If I ever need to use the small one for my machine, Ill update my review to include that experience.

This newbie recommends it.
I am buying another of these so I can have two of those tiny thread conditioners on my machine at all times one for the to thread and one for loading a bobbin. You can feel the difference in the thread and it is a good difference. Maybe not needed for some of the nicer threads I have, but the cheap stuff I bought off Amazon sure benefits from some conditioning. Thread looks more uniform and less fuzzy.

Good product itself, but very misleading image on size
I like the product itself, but this item gets two stars knocked off bc of how misleading the item photo is on the website. I’ve attached the Amazon product image and a photo of what I received to show the difference (plus a photo with my medium-sized hand for scale, since they don’t even include a volume or weight in the product description). The main little tub is small but decent. The little square to go on the sewing machine, though, is vastly smaller than the website shows. There’s no way they could have made it appear roughly the same size as the little tub except by intentionally doctoring or totally faking the photo. It is about the size of my (rather small) index fingernail. Itty bitty. When I took it out of the package I had to go back and check to see why I was so surprised. Sure enough, the product image shows them being the same size. Don’t buy this if you think you’re getting twice the amount of product of the little tub by itself. Just buy the tub. I have no idea how the sewing machine square can be listed as $10 when it’s sold individually. That’s ridiculous. Anyway, the bottom line is that Thread Magic is great, but the second square container in this “combo” pack is teeny tiny, nothing like the product image.

Great for hand sewing
I haven't tried to use this with my machine yet but I love the results with hand sewing. I sew a lot of patches and this helps keep the thread from tangling. A must have for sewers!

BEST THREAD CONDITIONER FOR MACHINES
This product is so fantastic to condition even lesser quality thread and keeps lint from clogging bobbin area. I use it while feeding thread thru to fill bobbins. The other little case of thread conditioner is affixed to the top of my machine as the thread feeds down thru the needle. Makes threading easier and thread doesn't fray in the eye of the needle. I will definitely re-order.

I love this stuff. I tried bee's wax and have found this much better. I was so frustrated with my cross-stitch until I came across this. It has been a game changer for me. Many thanks

Works really well! I use it for my knitting machine and it helps get the stubborn yarn through!

Not used it yet. Hope it is long lasting. I do a lot of craft on sewing and circular knitting machines. So if used quickly it will be quite expensive.

It’s great for threads stops it from knotting up and helps the threads to go through material easily. I do like this item but for what it is it’s very expensive for such a small amount
