The Ultimate Companion for a Flawless, Streak-Free Finish
Iโve been using these Bates 2-Inch Foam Paint Brushes in combination with my gloss projects, and they are an absolute game-changer. If you want a smooth, professional application, the value for money here is honestly mind-blowing. You get a massive 16-pack that is priced so affordably, it feels like a steal for the quality you're getting. What I love most is the durabilityโthese aren't just "one-and-done" disposables. They actually last a lifetime as long as you make sure to wash them out thoroughly right after use. They handle liquids well, and because of the thickness of the foam, they hold a generous amount of product without any leakage or messy dripping, giving you total control over your workspace. The 2-inch size is incredibly versatile; itโs the perfect "fits-all" dimension that works seamlessly on all types of work, whether you're covering large areas or touching up smaller, detailed surfaces. I also noticed that because they apply such a smooth, even coat, the product itself seems to dry more quickly and cleanly compared to using standard bristle brushes that might leave uneven puddles. If youโre doing any kind of crafting, painting, or finishing work, these are a total must-have.

Perfect for gluing Table Tennis rubbers
These are perfect for gluing table tennis rubbers. So much better than the over priced brushes from the table tennis brands. These soak up the perfect little amount of glue and move it around like painting.

Holds up well
Wanted something that would not lose it's stiffness due to lighter materials used this holds up well thanks to the plastic insert that keeps the foam firm

Plastic cores breaks easily
They are okay brushes. The handles and foam are good. The only issue lies in the cheap, thin, and brittle plastic core in side of the foam. All the ones I have used have broken. Most of cores broke during washing, because they were not supposed to be thrown away after one use. They would be much better brushes if the cores are made more durable. I would give it a 7/10.

Great value and quality...
**** I am a product tester for Bates Choice and receive many items from the company, including these foam paintbrushes. That having been said, I am still very honest about my reviews and try to help people considering buying these things, and try to write reviews in a way that helps me when I'm looking to buy (or avoid) certain products. **** Bates Choice has sent me many things to test out, and among those things they've sent me many of their foam brushes. I love these! I really like how these work with stain - they hold quite a bit of stain in the foam and it's easy to control the flow of staining depending on how hard or soft you press down. In general I prefer bristled brushes for painting, but these are great for jamming paint into small corners and holes in wood. A friend of mine and I make Bigfoots out of plywood to sell, and these foam brushes are a wonderful tool to reach the nooks and crannies of the wood (I don't know what a "nook" or "crannie" is, but trust me, it reaches them). One negative thing I've found is that the foam head can pull off of the handle a little more easily than it should, but when it does it's usually because I'm violently jabbing and literally lose my head in the process. They stay on well for more normal painting, so it's not really an issue. I do like that when I've mashed the sponge into oblivion that I can collect the dowel handles and build small log cabin birdhouses with them. I use my hot glue gun to fix the heads on that I really don't want coming off during one of my stabbing sprees. Brass tacks: โขGreat value! โขMany different sizes for various jobs. โขThey don't leave tracks like bristled brushes - I've painted against the grain with these to test and I can't tell when it's dry what direction I painted. โขDecent for paint, but particularly good for stains and spreading wood glue. Another five-star item from Bates Choice that I highly recommend.

Good value.
I need disposable brushes from time to time and getting a multi-pack keeps enough brushes around and saves money. These are pretty good, although they don't last long in oil based polyurethane, maybe because of solvents.

Good way to spread stain
I use this type of brush for applying Rubio Monochrome stains. It does a great job pushing the stains into the wood allowing for good control, and little dripping where it's applied. These sponge brushes are cheap, and you don't feel bad tossing them after use. It's nice to not have to clean brushes.

Good foam brushes but beware of tiny black fibers...
These foam brushes hold up well provided they are not heavily loaded and used with a light hand. The one thing that I did notice is that you need to wash them and massage them through your fingers a bit before using because they tend to leave tiny little black fibers which is really noticeable when using light paint or poly on light paint. Maybe on typical wood stain you wouldn't notice it.

Decent brushes at a really good price.
I'm not nice to paint brushes - I don't clean them soon enough, or I'm too rough with them, or I'm just not a good painter... I much prefer disposable foam brushes for this reason My local Orange big box store has foam brushes for over $2 each - insane pricing. The foam brushes work just fine. They're not the best ones I've ever used, but they don't shed foam material when they start to go. I'll just notice a tear starting to develop and that lets me know I'm going too hard. Then into the bin and out with another.

Works as a foam brush should. Price is right

Durable with very good application results
Great foam brushes - seem to be lasting longer than the usual black foam brushes I've used. Foam feels denser than usual, allowing the brush to load more product (I've used for paint, shellac, urethane)
