Great fit, but needs minor improvements.
This guy went in to replace the plastic intake manifold of a 1997 Ford Thunderbird. The fit of the intake manifold itself was great and is doing its job perfectly fine. Install was pretty straightforward. Where I have complaints about this unit are specifically with the fuel rail assembly not being tapped with the threaded insert for the bolts to transfer over from the original manifold this replaced. My other complaint is with the provided alternator brackets. Neither of them fit properly. The one I used initially fit perfectly for the mounting of the alternator, but when it came time to run my EGR, IACV, and vacuum hoses, the plate got in the way and either pinched my hoses or made it so that these hoses couldn't get installed. Ultimately, I ended up discarding the provided alternator brackets and used my spare FORD bracket I had lying around to resolve the bracket problem. Basically, MFR if you're reading this, don't use that "hump" on your alternator bracket and this would be perfect.

Great product!!!
These things are inherently tricky to install, being skilled on mechanics is very helpful --- this is an excellent product --- very happy with the quality. The o-ring for the thermostat housing is not right , source a good one, use a trusted thermostat. Honestly, I think this is better than the "On Label" brand. Some grease helped the plastic style screws to find their new home -- think ahead, and take your time. Forget about torque specs, nice and evenly , plenty of sequences, all the way down - good and snug --- allow adequate dry time for plugging the four little pin holes on top of the heads. Use a permanent marker to map out where the new manifold will land properly in case a silicone sealant is applied. "Pre - Load" the aluminum crossover piece by sandwiching the aluminum crossover together with the rest of the plastic, using the three original bolts that secure the crossover to the heads, (two thermostat and one of the short ones) , just use three washers and three nuts. This way final tightening of the two little bolts that are just underneath and on the back side of the crossover piece can be done --- that way the crossover piece stays in place for a much easier install --- alternator bracket --- those are totally unnecessary and can cause problems with negative pressure on the crossover piece

DONT BUY THIS INTAKE MANIFOLD!
DON'T BUY THIS INTAKE MANIFOLD IT'S JUNK. I have a 1997 mercury grand marquis that has a manifold leak and was losing vacuum. Went to AutoZone first seen the high prices than bought this cheap intake manifold on Amazon. After I did the job and got everything torque to spec and seated right. It leaks radiator fluid into the engine now because the gaskets they used when making this garbage intake manifold faild. Now my engine burns radiator and shoots it out of the exhaust. Also this cheap manifold has no thread inserts meaning you have to fight the bolts in.

can’t beat for the price
Only issue that I have is needing to use the self tapping screws for the fuel rails since the mounting points were not threaded and unable to use the original hardware. With that said, gaskets were snug with 0 hassle or fuss. For the price, can’t be beat! My 96’ GT convertible is back on the road

Not OEM quality, but works perfectly well and is cheap.
This manifold works perfectly fine and fixed the problem. I did have to drill through and finish the hole at the thermostat. Don't waste your time tapping out the all the blank holes like I did (fuel rail, coils, etc.), just use the self tap screws that come with it. The gaskets are built into the mating surface for the heads, so no gasket kit is required. It's not OEM, but for the price, this is a really good deal. Do NOT over-torque anything, just be careful and it will put you back on the road in no time.

Works, good price
Fits properly, works well Doesn’t come with injector orings or evap. But more importantly does come with everything on the rear. 2 months in still works, but flaps rattle/noisy Definitely a poorer quality than oem
