Awesome pool filter it ran all summer long with no problems. It kept the pool crystal clear. The pump runs quite you can hardly hear it from 10 foot away. Setup was easy and it has very good water flow.

It’s better than the weaker ones, the smaller ones, but I’ll tell you the truth for a pool that’s 18 feet in One Direction and I don’t know what 8 feet and the other direction and 4 feet deep, I would wanna have something stronger than this. But this is what I have it doesn’t have a skimmer. It just pulls the water in. It goes through and if stuff settles down on the floor when you get in and move around it’s gonna get all mixed up in the water again. So I go out there with the skimmer and move the water around so that residue from the chlorine will start getting in the water again in The filter will hopefully pull it in, but it pulls in very little. You gotta let it run for hours and hours basically gotta let it run all the time! I don’t know what that’s gonna do to your power bill. This is a real pain to open up and put New balls in. And when I backwash it, it doesn’t look like any dirt comes out. Then again, I’m not a specialist on this. I just feel that you need a bigger stronger filter. I have a portable electric vacuum. But I have to put it in there. I don’t know four or five times for it to really make a dent in the junk that’s on the floor. Like I say the stuff on the floor is some twigs from the trees and mostly residue from the chlorine. Yeah chlorine does leave a residue.

DO NOT BUY - LASTED 1 MONTH UPDATE: Dropped to 1 star would give 0 if I could, filer is leaking and not filtering anymore. I have used it for 1 month. Return windows closed so I guess lesson learned and money wasted. Not very powerful and does not work with my pool skimmer. Does clean up the pool and keeps it clear but wish it was strong enough to work with my skimmer

So far, not so good. I purchased this set to replace my "stock" pump and filter on my Intex above-ground pool. While assembling, I was inserting the connector into the "pump" port on the backwash valve. I was tightening the adapter and before 50% of the threads were into the port, the upper wall of the port split! I have to buy a new backwash valve. This one is trash! Also, the ports seem reversed; They are intuitively wrong. Update: I wrote a poor review a few days ago, giving this system a "1." it was purely because the backwash valve broke as I was installing the fitting to attach the hose from the pump to the filter. I ended up throwing away the hose and hard-plumbing the whole thing. Aside from the poor quality of the backwash valve, I can safely say that this has been an excellent pump/filter combo. for my above-ground pool. It has approximately doubled my circulation and tripled my filtration area. I have not received my new backwash valve yet, but I've "patched" the broken one. It leaks a little, but not enough for me to have to shut the system down. I've seen enough of improvement in the water clarity and cleanliness to be able to say that this is a great solution for my pool. I have re-rated the pump/filter combo to a "5."

This combo has been running since May. No issues very happy with it. However the pump does not have an on/off switch. That little item would be so handy! Over all I'd buy it again. Pool is crystal clear

This pool filter has changed the game for my family. We use an Intex pool (10x10) every summer that we have struggled to keep filtered and balanced. Our solution has been to purchase a pool every summer. With this filter, we enjoyed the pool for the ENTIRE summer!!!!!!!!! The water was so clear and it was incredibly easy to use!!! When I was setting it up, I actually over torqued the ring and broke it. My mistake. I reached out to the seller and they sent me the replacement piece SO quick. They were wonderful. 10/10 would recommend!! I'll be reusing the same pool next year, all because of this filter. I will use this filter until I can't anymore and then I'll be back for a repurchase.

I have owned an above ground pool for over 35 years. I have always had the top of the line pool filter which are very expensive. Recently my filter started shooting sand into my pool and was told it was time to buy a new filter system. I am extremely happy that I decided to go with the XtremepowerUS pool filter. The 1.5 horsepower pump is well made and powerful and quiet. The filter itself is well made and sturdy. The quality is just as good as the higher end brand names filters. I did have a problem with the valve head. I contacted support via email and they responded within 2 hours giving me the tracking number of the replacement part. I was shocked and amazed that they did not question me and just sent a replacement. The setup of the filter system was quick and easy. It took me longer to get rid of the old unit than it did to setup the new one. The water in my pool is crystal clear. There were no annoying leaks at the connection points. The skimmer has has very good suction to it and the return keeps the water moving around the pool better than ever. I would recomend this filter to anyone with a pool.

This was a game changer. We had purchased a 18x48 above ground pool and the filter pump that came with it just was not doing the job. Even with chemicals adjustments it was still cloudy and green. NOW within just a couple hours we could see signifigant changes and after 24 hours our pool is clear blue and amazing. Would recommend this and buy again. the only thing I would have changed is if it came with the tubes needed for connecting to the pool ... but that was a simple fix. Picture is after 24 hrs ... soooo happy

My 15 foot above ground pool came with a normal crappy pool and it goes green fast even with chemicals. I bought this little unit and put less than a bag of sand in it from my local pool store and hooked it up to my very green water pool and over night with a shock put in it before bed my pool cleared up to Cristal clear and now takes way less chemicals to keep it in range. I highly recommend this pool filter for pools my size for sure. Mine is 15 feet across circle that is 5 feet deep and this filter works amazing.
