We got our first Whirley- Pop at a garage sale years and years ago. I don't know if those folks just didn't know how to use it or they were microwave popcorn kind of people but I'm so happy that we picked it up! In 25 years, we've only had two of them because they last forever. I recently purchased one to give to my son as a gift because he moved out on his own and popcorn is his favorite! Especially when it's made in one of these! I know it seems a tad expensive, but trust me they last forever as long as you take care of them and the popcorn that you can make in these is top notch! You only need a couple of tablespoons of butter and a couple tablespoons of oil, with about a half a cup of popcorn. Start spinning the handle as soon as the kernels start to pop and make sure you have a big bowl handy!

Admittedly a little bit expensive but I do not like hot air poppers. So I've been doing on the stove. And that was just somewhat satisfying. Using this popcorn machine has been a game changer. What they say is true. The popcorn comes out bigger and fluffier. I haven't had any burning and any unpopped kernels is minimal. I am once again enjoying a satisfying bowl of popcorn.
