Goal Zero Lighthouse Core Lantern and USB Power Hub

This lantern is incredible! It has so many cool features and puts out a lot of light. It can be used for camping or when we loose electricity. I would definitely recommend this product for yourself or as a gift!

Great product/small/puts out great light.

I have the full size lantern from Goal Zero with the crank top and decided to buy this one to compliment it. It arrived with no issue, I charged it and put it in my hall closet until needed. WELL a hurricane came through and I pulled my lights to use and it took a charge but then wouldn't shutoff. One side would go from lite to bright but thats it. Couldnt shut off or turn on the other side. This seems to be a common theme with this product. GOAL ZERO SHAME ON YOU. I didn't even get to use this product once and it crapped out on me. GOAL ZERO is expensive brand to buy in because I assumed I was buying quality, but looking at these reviews and them not reacting is a real show of character of there business model. Unfortunately I can no longer support them if I can buy cheap knock offs that will last just as long.

I have other goal zero products. I have a yeti 150, a boulder 50, and a couple other little power Banks. This goal zero lighthouse core is small compact. It's nice that you can have a directional light you can light up one side or both. It has a USB charger that you can plug directly into a source. it also has a USB port you can charge a device at the same time that you are charging up your light battery. It's compact it has a little handle on top. the only reason I give it 4 stars has it's not super bright it's not as bright as I thought it would be. But overall the product is extremely well product it's well-built the battery lasts a long time. I keep it in my house mainly because we do have power outages occasionally and salt lake. Would I buy again probably not.

Extremely adjustable, non-harsh light in a rechargeable lantern. It makes a soothing alternative to the glaring LED lights in my truck camper. The charging cord is built in so I can't lose it, a big plus for me. The battery indicator and magnets on the base are nice features. The lamp can also recharge my phone. Happy with this purchase.

I bought several in the past and love them!!! I ordered this one for my daughter because she wanted mine and I told her no, I’ll order one for her. I use them for emergency use and they have not failed me yet. Been a proud owner of 2 of these lights for approximately 10 years now. I’ve given others as gifts.

Great product. Lasted all night camping. Brighter than most lanterns of the same size. I still had to use other lights to light our set up. Sturdy product.

* Final update* Goal Zero customer services finally came back saying they'd heard from their UK support, who said the lamps were not sold in the UK so they wouldn't be honouring a return under warranty. Funny, I'm a UK resident and customer; didn't have to do anything extraordinary to purchase this lamp in the UK. They advised that I speak to Amazon. Took several attempts to send back as the local PO didn't recognise the Slovakia postal address, but it finally went back to Amazon. Can't thank Goal Zero customer support enough. Actually, not at all. *Update* Discharge fully in off position and fully recharge doesn't work. After 5 cycles the problem persists. Been in touch with Goal Zero customer services for three weeks now. Initial response was they're US based and can't send replacements to UK so they advised I contact the original retailer. I replied that I'd purchased through Amazon and the retailer is in Austria, could they provide details of a UK retailer who would deal with a warranty claim and provide a RMA number approving replacement? They replied that they were contacting their team who deal with European distributors. That was 2 weeks ago. I followed up with another email yesterday asking for that team's contact details so I could follow it up myself, since nothing seemed to be happening. They replied to say they would try again - no details provided, no RMA number to authorise a warranty claim. According to Goal Zero community forums if you provide photo and purchase details, which I did from day one, they'll look into the problem. I'm yet to be convinced. Also found on the same Goal Zero community forum that this problem was first being reported back in July and August 2022 and on Amazon as far back as 2019, so I find it odd they were still being sold years later with the same problem. I wonder if Goal Zero even take the time to read their customers' reviews? Seems they're ignore them which is a dangerous practice. Changing rating from 2 to 1 star as this lantern is looking more like a chocolate teapot as each day passes and feeling more like Goal Zero is a brand that I'll be avoiding in the future. *Initial review* These are great initially. Used on a couple of camping trips so far they give really good light in our 4 man tent. That was last year. We moved house recently and I got them out to use in sheds and outside whilst sorting out storage. Since then this has developed the "won't turn off" problem that seems to be quite common with these GZ lanterns. I'm trying the charge / discharge fully and repeat cycle remedy but what I read on the Goal Zero forums suggest this seldom works. I'd up the score if it does resolve the issue permanently, but if not then it's no more useful than a chocolate teapot. These aren't cheap either, so problems after only 15 months with few uses doesn't bode well.

Wir benutzen die Lampe zum Camping. Sie macht ein angenehmes Licht, der eingebaute Akku hält lange, die Auflagefunktion für Handy etc. haben wir noch nicht gebraucht, aber es ist gut, die Option zu haben.
