Thule Alltrail X 35L Pack

I was heading to England for a wedding. My old Keen backpack was starting to tear and I was in need of a new one. The Thule is almost perfect. Just the right size for carry-on. I fit more into this than my old one and still had room to spare. The fit on me is very good. (6' 2" & 300 lbs) I did not use the belt strap and it was a bit of a nuisance to stow it. It has a top strap to keep the straps together which is a must for me. Not a over-pocketed like many bags. I prefer to sort things in small bags. I don't know how long it will last, but I've used Thule (rack) products for many years with few problems.

Thule EnRoute 20L: Wonderful fit for my Olympus OM-D EM-1 Mark II micro 4/3 camera body + 12-100mm F4.0 PRO lens (24-200mm 35mm equiv.). I removed the useless (to me) Thule dividers and place the camera + lens sideways in the camera box compartment. It fits nicely with quick side access. A larger full-frame body + lens would probably be tight with anything other than a short to medium prime lens or similar. The 20L Thule additionally fits my thin MacBook Air M2 13" laptop and the space above the camera box holds a light jacket and my 7-14mm F2.8 PRO micro 4/3 lens (14-28mm 35mm equiv.) wrapped in the jacket - but I often carry just the 12-100mm. The vertical side opening is meant to carry a tripod but it fits my water bottle instead. With IBIS + in-lens IS I can hand-hold my shots without a tripod even at slower shutter speeds. The smaller compartment up top will fit a phone, extra camera batteries, energy bars, sunglasses, etc. The compartment cover is somewhat rigid so the contents are well protected. The straps are comfortable and the compact 20L camera pack is perfect for my compact 5-ft 8-inch frame ;-) I like to hike light and the 20L Thule EnRoute pack is just right for me and my micro 4/3 camera setup.

Perfect size backpack for a personal item on an airplane. Camera pouch is a little small but with a small lens fits great. Top opening is a magnetic closure that folds down or can be unfolded for more space. Laptop pocket is separate from a tablet storage. Side zippers into main storage area. Well worth the price paid.

Great packpack, good storage and great material. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is I would have preferred the belt/hip straps to be much wider. I want the majority of the weight to be on my hips and not my shoulders, and these small straps don't offer that for me. Otherwise great backpack with a good design.

This bag was SO CLOSE to working for me, and I really wanted to keep it. The bag is extremely well made, and thoughtfully designed. Unfortunately, this bag is about 90% backpack, and 10% camera bag. The camera/lens storage is too small to be usable to me. To be clear, I'm not a professional by a long stretch. I have a camera and a few lenses to carry, and the expected filters, memory cards, and odds and ends. Still, the camera equipment portion of this bag is very small. I would guess the dimensions at 8" by 8" by 6". This will carry my mirrorless Sony camera (on the small side already), and two extra lenses, or one lens and a flash, for example. I have more stuff than that, and although I don't bring everything with me every time, I don't want to have to decide "I'm going to only take THIS type of photo" before I set out. This bag says, "I can't wait to go hiking, and I might take a photo or two while I'm out." I need a bag that says, "I want to take a lot of photographs, and I might accidentally hike in the process." I wish I was the guy that this bag was designed for, but I'm not. If this had twice, or even 50% more photo equipment storage, it would be my favorite bag for any purpose, ever. As it is, it's going to hurt to return it, but I can't keep a bag with a triple-digit price that doesn't fit all my needs.

—6 months update— Did my first longer multi day stretch with this and unfortunately the comfort of the back bracing weight distribution system completely failed. Turned soft from the sweat so hook and loop was slipping or coming undone when ever I required the pack. 57pounds are the limit this guy can take. —Updated after a seasons use rucking— This bag is great. Sits in the right place and divides load well. Still haven’t used it for a multi day but have been training with it weighted ruking and it’s been the most comfortable bag I’ve used. ——- No1 gripe with all bags is comfort with the load. This bag seems to have come a long way from the other packs I’ve used because after my first day hike I take it off and my back isn’t not soar. Don’t get me wrong it still weighs you down but my experience from using other packs are the straps and weight sitting in a way that causes allot of strain. This pack found ways to mitigate that. Other than comfort the packs utility in storage, access and water proofing are the best I have seen yet. So many little reworks in zippers and netting make the pack a joy to use. Another Thule quality product. Does not disappoint.

The right hang arm strap loop detached with no weight being applied to it on the first use. I am concern this back pack will not make it on my first international travel trip to Europe.

I was looking for a durable, quality bag to carry my camera to and from work safely. I didn't want something big and bulky. After looking at bag prices I decided to try and make the bag I purchased also one I could use as a daily backpack. I decided to go with the Thule 20L Enroute bag. In my bag on a normal work day: - Sony a6000 Mirrorless Camera - 2 lenses - Extra battery - DJI Mavic Pro - DJI Mavic Pro Controller - DJI Mavic Pro extra battery & charger - GoPro Hero 7 Black - Extra SD Cards & Cords - Mini Joby tripod I also took this bag to Boston for a trip and carried My Sony a6000, 2 lenses, battery, jacket, paperwork, chargers, money, hat, sunglasses, and more without issue. The loops for carabiners is a great touch and the water bottle/tripod pocket is concealable when not in use. Highly recommended.

Tengo 4 mochilas de esta marca,y como siempre,no defrauda. Ideal para viajar con equipo fotografico,con bolsillo para poder usar la camara rapidamente (tambien eso hace que sea un pelin inseguro) Boca de mochila muy grande,donde yo normalmente tenia 1 par de zapatillas del niño,1 camiseta,1 jarsey,la camara,2 botellas de agua,gafas,cargadores etc etc Comoda de llevar,recomendable al 100%

I like everything in this bag but one thing that worrying me, is the lack of antitheft on the camera compartment. This compartment would be better with two side zippers so you can lock it for safety. The pod inside the camera compartment is useless so I changed with lowepro, now I can fit Sony a7cii attached with Tamron 20-40 F2.8 and a Zeis 85 1.8 Batis, a perfect fit. You can close the zip of the pod inside for safety, but not 100%. safety.

Difficile trovare uno zaino più pratico di questo Thule. Negli anni ne ho provati tanti, di tutti i tipi e non mi sbilancerei mai :) Lo zaino è molto spazioso, fino a 25 litri. Ha uno scomparto (estraibile) per la fotocamera + accessori. Tale scomparto è accessibile lateralmente oppure dall'apertura in alto per essere estratto. Non entra un obiettivo zoom lungo (tipo 70-300) ma un 24-70 sì. L'apertura in alto è molto pratica: usa come "base" lo scomparto fotocamera e si possono impilare numerose cose, da vestiti a libri, accessori di qualsiasi tipo. Facilmente accessibile grazie alla chiusura magnetica + clip. La parte superiore si può ripiegare su se stessa per occupare meno spazio possibile. Bretelle comodissime, ottimo appoggio lombare. Non stanca mai, anche camminando a lungo con lo zaino strapieno. Ottimo scomparto per computer portatile + accessori "piatti" tipo agenda, quaderno ecc. Ben imbottito internamente ed esternamente. Infine, una piccola tasca superiore per rapido accesso via zip ad accessori piccoli come uno snack, auricolari. C'è anche una tasca laterale "alta" quanto tutto lo zaino in cui si possono inserire oggetti più lunghi come un tripod o una borraccia. Non l'ho usata molto. Ho esaminato altre soluzioni simili, forse con zip migliori (anche se quelle Thule non sono male, anzi) ma esageratamente costosissime, fuori budget per me. Penso di aver fatto la scelta giusta.

値段だけ見ればもっと安いリュックはある。そこだけ見ればスーリーのリュックは高い。けれど、機能性はこの値段に見合う。 リュック上部には一泊分の着替えが収まり、リ下部にはミラーレス機が収まる(フルサイズだときついかも)。カメラ収納部は脱着できるので、取り外せば二泊分の着替えが収まるだろう。背面にはノートPC。サイドにはペットボトルか折りたたみ傘が入る。二箇所のポケット部には小物も入る。さらに、背部のクッションは厚く柔らかく、長時間背負ったときの苦痛が軽減される。 そして何よりこの丸いデザインが秀逸。タウンユースでも浮かないこのデザインは本当に秀逸。まさにカメラバッグ！みたいなデザインのリュックが少なくない中で、街中に溶け込むデザインが実に良い。 オールラウンドに使えるリュック。
