I been very happy with this coffee pot. It brews coffee quickly , keeps It hot and has a beautiful copper finish that looks great on the counter .The coffee comes out rich and flavorful and it's easy to use and clean. Perfect for making multiple cups at once for family or guests. Overall, a great value and nice addition to my kitchen.

Lovely little percolator! Very simple to use and to clean. You can your bean as fine as you like they do not seep through the stainless steel basket. No more harsh chemical taste to your morning brew!

10-cup size - Replaced my Keurig (too much plastic) and my pourover (too much time). This pot is gorgeous and makes really smooth coffee. Yes, it gets a bit of sludge at the bottom, but everything washes up easily. The knob for the lid is plastic, so I replaced it with the Tops Mfg Fitz-All Replacement Percolator Top. The neck of it looks small but the washer secures it well with no leaking. **Took a few tries to find one with a metal washer. Most don't come with a washer at all, and the plastic one provided with this pot has a different thread size.** Pics attached, Bob Evans chicken mug for scale.

Percolated coffee was to me as Grand Unified Theory was to Einstein. Not to compare myself to Einstein, exactly -- except to say that, in the great Venn diagram of Percolators vs. The Physics of Everything, there happened to be a great overlap labelled, "Stuff that's almost impossibly hard to comprehend; maybe fully impossible. We just don't know. Shrug." And, as is my distinctly non-Einsteinian way, I choose to avoid contemplating the mysteries that surround me, until/unless left with no other choice. (Yes, I'm a real hero.) Anywho, so this thing at work was the condition that created the forced confrontation I require for personal growth: I learned to use a percolator. As it happens, using a percolator is (a) not that hard, and (2.) produces a super-heated (that's how I like it), super-good cup of coffee. Imagine my surprise. And my delight, too, when this new-found ability coincided with the official demise of my automatic drip machine. So, with all the bravado that attends the newly-informed, I decided to replace my dead drip with this, a pleasantly red, real-life percolator. I am proud to tell you that I am now percolating daily. I feel all sorts of smug and superior to my non-percolating friends. My coffee is super-hot, super-good, and the machine is particularly pretty to look at when not in use, and to listen to when in it. Cleaning is a breeze (just wash the parts in soapy water after every use). And, because percolators prefer -- for those of you poor saps who don't possess the wildly specialized insights I've got going for me -- a coarser "grind" (as one says when one possesses said insights) than your average can of Folgers provides, I went out and bought a coffee bean grinder. Yes, I did, Reader. Now, I grind coarse beans and find but few crumbs at the bottom of my pot (solution: I make a little more coffee than needed, which keeps the grit mostly in the pot and out of my cup). So, now I'm fully one of "those" people (as one says when one currently lacks aforementioned insights), grinding my little bag of whole bean coffee with a big better-than-you grin on my face. The whole experience, in other words, has turned my regular morning coffee trudge into a mini-excursion to the world of the super rich and super satisfied. Regrets? Not really, no. My coffee kicks ass. I look forward to it every morning as I wake up and prepare to avoid confronting what mysteries of the universe are left to me. (Like homemade salsa. People do that? How?? Why???)

I waited a couple of months to review because I wanted to see how it held up. This coffee pot has met all my expectations. It is fast to brew and the coffee is delicious! I love the fact that it stays on and does not have a timer so my hot coffee is there for me when I want it. It is a plus for me. I have chosen to use a coffee filter as the regular coffee grounds you buy might be too fine and may work to seep into the coffee. There is a cap on the coffee filter which is a deterrent but I still choose to use a filter. I am very happy with this produce.

Right off the bat, the description says it has a GLASS TOP which it does NOT. It’s 100% PLASTIC. This was very disappointing since I’m trying to get away from all the plastics in my life is why I stopped using my Keurig. I have an old camping percolator with a glass top, so I switched out the tops and was pleased it actually fit. Okay, so problem solved. Good news: I was very happy with the coffee flavor, I must say! I buy the beans and grind them very course for fear that I would find coffee grinds with each poured cup, especially the last. As a precaution, since I already had them on hand from my camping percolator, I use brown organic paper coffee filters. Super cheap and highly recommend. I’ve never used this percolator without them, so I don’t know if that’s making the difference with the coffee grind problems people have mentioned about this percolator. Bad news: the black “stuff” that forms at the very bottom bolt. There are many reviews here about it and, like everyone else, I have no clue what this is! It started within the first two weeks of using it, and it just gets worse. I keep it clean daily, so I’m not sure what this. It’s enough to make me wonder what am I consuming that keeps appearing at the bottom of the pot, so the thought alone makes me not enjoy my great coffee. Maybe it’s just the coffee itself, so I hate to bash this percolator altogether, but the problem is, I don’t know what it is and no one has been able to explain it either. Since I’m trying to get away from all the gross toxins the American government is okay with keeping us sick with, I’M RETURNING THE PERCOLATOR. Unfortunately, I’m having a hard time finding a percolator that meets my checklist which is a glass top (but that may be an easy fix), stainless steel everything, and an auto off-switch would be great (which this one doesn’t have).

Ok... I am not going to mix my words here.... I stink at brewing timing.... I have been using a basic stove-top percolator for some time now... I wanted to get the rich flavor that I am told comes from percolated coffee... Somehow my tastebuds lost the ability to know the difference... I like a strong brew and dark roast... French press gave me that... Drips kinda worked... forget pods. So when I decided to switch to an electric percolator, I wasn't sure what I would get... This pot self regulates everything.. So I am at it's mercy. Well.... I tried it this morning. I was nice to hang out in the living room while the brew cycle advanced... I could hear the percolation from there. So I knew it was still working. One thing I noticed quickly was that the frequency of the percolation was maybe half that of my stove top experience.. More is better and longer is better...right? Nope! With all ingredients being equal... what I got was a very clean.. somewhat strong, but very flavorful brew from the roast that I have been using... I could actually taste the notes. Dang it! I have been over cooking my coffee for months now... I so enjoyed this morning's brew that I chose to right about in that moment. So far as function, it is a 5/5, Brewing capacity, it is 5/5, Build quality, is 4ish/5 ( lid feels a little flimsy, but fits well.) I hope it lasts many years, but if it doesn't I would consider replacing it with the same unit. 11/25/2025: I have had it now for a little while.. just wanted to update... I still like it! Use as coarse of a grind as you can, and you will have very little sediment, and I can let the finished brew sit for a few hours with little oxidized flavor...

Enjoy brewing coffee, this work great, only wish it had a timer on it.

Bought mine five years ago as of writing this review. For that whole time it has never had a single issue (till today) and always reliably made a delicious cup of coffee. Even the warming feature keeps the coffee hot and ready for hours on end. Today I came back to look at this page and ended up writing a review because it seemed to be at the end of it's life, struggling to make a weak cup of coffee. HOWEVER if you are in this same situation, don't worry, there's good news. I gave it a run cycle of a water and vinegar mix and by the end of the descaling it is back to kicking hard with that beautiful percolator sound. 5 stars for sure.

An excellent percolator, does its job perfectly..... but be aware that this is US manufactured and made for a 110v 60Hz power supply. You will need a step-down transformer to get it to work on UK mains power, and not just any step-down transformer. It must be rated to use devices up to at least 800w the maximum of the percolator, and these are quite bulky.

Is an American Machine so does not tally with British electrics! Most disappointed and dissatisfied as have to pay to send back to USA. Suprised it got allowed to be advertised on the British website. Won't last long in UK as the voltage will burn out quicker I've been told!
