am I wrong or is this book back wards? UPDATE - I am new to Manga and the book is perfect! we love the series!

My son loves manga and wanted to start this series he was very thrilled. Perfect gift

Atsushi Ohkubo did a wonderful job with his first volume of soul eater. The first 3 chapters were prologues to the main characters while the 4th chapter was the first chapter to the story itself. It also included a mini chapter of a gag manga the author created and a glossary of Japanese symbol/text meaning such as why kun, chan, and sama is referred to some people after they say it after their name. You will get hooked to the series as I did and if you plan on watching the anime. The anime does a great job of parallel the story from book to television screen. Until later as some people may have said in which the anime splits from the manga.

It came on the date it said it would, BUT I the book is messed up around the binding, also LOVE this manga series, andddd I don’t really mind it being messed up since it was only by a little bit plus it’s not THAT noticeable(even though it kinda is) but oh well

I got this as a gift for my friend who loves the show and the manga came in perfect condition and very quickly not to mention she said the manga itself was great and very interesting. We both love the show tons and considering the quality I received I would most definitely consider buying one of these for myself too

Let me start by telling you that Soul Eater is already at volume 20 in Japan so it must be doing something right. The manga should not be based on one volume which is why I argue with some the other reviewers opinions. It can be summed up as a story that revolves around a set of different characters that all have different personalities and abilities. The summary of the first volume is the back story the introduces the 3 main set of character that have both a reaper and their scyths that have their own form. With no real main character it makes for enjoyable experience to pick the one you like the most and pay attention to how their story progresses thoughout the manga. I'm not asking you to buy it, but if you do be warn that there is funny stupidity, sexual perversion, and awesome fight scenes.

Quand mon frère m'a demandé ce manga comme cadeau, je lui ai pris en anglais, afin de lui permettre d'enrichir son vocabulaire tout en se distrayant. Et il a compris l'histoire (les dessins aidant) sans être un grand fan de l'anglais. L'histoire lui plaît beaucoup, et je pense, que c'est adapté à un adolescent fin collège, début lycée. Par contre, je ne mets que trois étoiles car je trouve cela inacceptable que la version anglaise soit aussi chère et comporte une telle différence de prix avec la française. Dans tous les cas, ce sont deux traductions du japonnais et ces livres demandent la même quantité d'impression. Là, on arrive à presque 10 euros pour un manga, c'est du grand n'importe quoi quand on sait qu'une série se compte en centaines de tomes. C'est dommage, car c'était un excellent exercice pour lui, mais voyons la vérité en face, de lui même, il va pas payer plus cher pour lire en anglais...

i loved soul eater and i’ve been wanting to get the manga for awhile now. it’s amazing, it’s odd seeing the slight character design change compared to the anime but all around it very cute. however it is quite lewd, don’t read at school😂 you can see in the picture attached how black star looks quite different from the anime

little sum sum scratches and tears but its small so its fine
