Quick Setup and Fold Down - Perfect for my beach needs!
Its a great little piece of kit in my opinion! I dont use this to "camp" per say - rather its my refuge when I go to the beach. Normally I bring a traditional tent (Coleman also coincidentally) and the setup and break down normally takes me a good 15 minutes both ways. This little guy is lighter overall - Pops open in seconds (less than 10 IMO) - and can fold back down in 10 with practice. I suggest to PRACTICE! I got this and yolo'd it at the beach and was super cool popping it open... only to have all the "cool" sucked out as I struggled to get this folded back to put into the carry case :P. You know its like walking in a awesome stride... only to trip and stumble .. yes like that! All in all its a good size - my wife and I can sit in the opening side by side to get some shade - it will BARELY fit 2 people but a great "solo" tent if you're doing a overnight thing. Inside wise its got venting to let air in at the top of the tent while being covered by a rain shroud of sorts so keeps wetness out. For my needs .. this is PERFECT... just need it for the beach.. quick setup.. quick tear down.. lightweight.. All in all one of my impulse purchases that I didnt regret!

Really cool -- and it works!
This isn't necessarily a 5 star tent in general, but it works exactly as promised and so far (2 weekends) it has performed as expected. And it's cool! Definitely a conversation starter at the campground. :) I bought it after a brand new, but cheap, tent failed. (One of the fiberglass poll broke the first time I tried to pitch it. And it took forever.) So I ordered this one in both the the 4-man size and 2-man size. I ended up using the larger one, so this review is for it, but now I am taking the smaller one on a cross country trip. I've set it up to test and except for the size it works exactly the same. Set-up: Yes it really sets up in seconds. Take it out of the bag and throw it in the air. It comes down ready to go. Just stake in place. I used a ground sheet under it. Total time to spread ground sheet, pitch tent, and pound in the stakes, maybe two minutes, no hassle. I used aluminum three-sided stakes instead of the simpler ones that came with it. The larger one is quite roomy inside but low -- you can't stand up but it's fine for sitting on a mattress. We had a twin air mattress and a "pool" type air mattress and there was plenty of room for gear. The sides are fairly steep so you have a lot of usable floor space. It did not leak in a light rain and was cool and well ventilated, but the weather wasn't very hot. In hot weather I would leave off the rain fly, which blocks a lot of air, and pitch it under a flying tarp. The quality of the materials and workmanship was excellent. It is not as easy to fold up as it is to pitch, but once you get the hang of it, you can yank the stakes, shake it out, fold and put back in the case in 2-3 minutes. You have to fight the coiled poles to bend it down in the right way, then it collapses into a circle and you slip the attached strap around it and you're done. I love that it travels as a flatish circle that will fit behind the seat. The 4-man version makes a 36 inch circle, the smaller one is just under 30 inches. I like to camp light -- no elaborate cooking equipment, no portable shower... so setting up the tent is 80% of making camp. I can set this up, inflate the air mattress, pull out the cooler and a couple of chairs, and be off doing something fun in 10-15 minutes. Heaven!

This is my 3rd one, all still in use great for it's purpose
As the title says I have 3 of these tents and still use all. I got the original one (4 person) maybe 10 years ago and it's still going strong as is my regular go to car camping tent. I got the second on (2 person) for my son, then just got a second 4 person one because he grew and wanted some more room. Now let me start this with the statement that there is no perfect tent, but there are some tents near perfect for certain conditions. This is one that hits a home run under some common uses and that's why I got this. Those circumstances would be car camping (drive up to the campsite), where you just need the tent for sleeping (not a hang out tent, though kids may), and don't want to fuss with set up or take down. This is ideal for arriving after dark or when other activities are going on once you arrive. Also ideal when you want to quickly pack up (once you learn how to do it, it's a learning curve once mastered is easy). Great car camping tent which is exactly why I got it (this is not backpacking tent). Setup is pretty much instant - including the fly in place, fold down is OK once you get the hang of it, took a few tries and a youtube vid (one fold is tricky and hard to get from the instructions). But once you get it it goes down pretty fast. Better to practice this as it would be hard to do in the field. Plenty of room for 2 people, a 3rd is OK a forth, now we are cozy. I have also just used the 2 person one inside the 4 person for a warmer winter experience as an experiment which did make a difference and it was easy to do and take down. Why the 4 stars instead of 5, well the zipper tends to catch the fabric, and the fold down does seem to have the potential of snapping of the fiber glass supports. Also there is a second inner screen door that they don't provide a way of getting just that door out of your way which would be easy as all the parts are there already, just in the wrong order. I also want to comment about rain, one can expect some rain to sometimes get in around the door. When it happens, it has always been a small amount of water by the entrance and usually there is nothing there so not a problem but something to be aware of. That said it withstood many downpours.

because I was camping with others that made me show them how easy it was a few times it may have lost ...
After a few practice setups and more importantly, take downs, I tested this tent (2P) camping this past weekend. IT does indeed go up very quickly and one could argue that is goes down just about as fast. However, because I was camping with others that made me show them how easy it was a few times it may have lost its speed advantage over other tents. People find it amazing and want to see it. The test also included it in both some mild wind and some rain. It handled both very well and did not leak a drop! The issues others have pointed out about the door being inset when open and water getting in that way are indeed true, but minor. Many tents get wet around the door in the rain as folks enter and exit. You just wipe it up. I might rig a tiny fly extension for it to prevent this when using it in the future. All of my other tents that get used frequently are Sierra Designs, two of which are four season tents. Is this one as good as those? No, no it is not. In “real weather,” or backpacking I’d use the Sierra Designs tents. But they take far more effort and time to setup and take down. In good weather the Pop Up has them beat! I also use a Sierra Designs Baffin Bivy and though not a tent, it is used for speed, i.e set up and take down camp fast. It is still faster than the Coleman Popup, but not by a lot and the Pop Up is certainly more comfortable and less of an issue in rain. Others have pointed out issues taking the tent down and folding it up, even broken polls while doing this. I did not have any issue. I watched the YouTube videos and made a point of being gentle. I practiced a lot. I can fold it up in well under a minute. I have folded it up maybe 40 times without any poll issues or failures. To those having issues, practice, never force it and watch the you tube videos of the folks who know how to do it. It is really, really, easy. Others have pointed out the door zipper can be difficult to zip. This is also true and more so when the tent is staked out. It is not a one handed operation, but to be just, on all three of my Sierra Designs tents, it is a two handed operation also, and mostly where the door corves when they are put up tight. The Coleman was the same, though it is slightly harder to zip up. I’d ding it for that, but I got used to it pretty fast. It is another thing where being gentle with it will have rewards. Some have pointed out the cloth floor as an issue. Though, many tents have fabric flows this one seems thin and may be a vulnerable spot. I used a small tarp under It (I use fitted ground cloths with my other tents). I sized the tarp so most of the water running off the tent hit dirt and not the tarp (so the water does not go under the tent). I did not have any problems. Finally, it comes down to how many stars. I could easily say my Sierra Designs, tents are 5 stars and therefore this must be something far less. However, the Sierra Designs tents cost three to five times as much! The ease of setup earns this tent a great score. For the price this Coleman Popup is 100% worth it. Five stars.

Good quality, easy set up and take down.
I have another Colman tent that’s served is well. Figured I’d try this 4 person pop up tent for my family of 4 to trim time off the set up and take down. My family consists of two adults and two kids. Heights and weights may impact one’s ability to fit four people in the tent. We got just fine with a little bit of room for our bags of clothing and extra blankets on each side wall keeping us from touching the cold tent walls at night. We used the tent on a recent trip to the Inyo National Forest meet Little Lakes Valley. Temp got down to the low 30’s, wind was in the 20’s with gusts of 30 mph. The tent held up extremely well considering the winds. We kept warm in the tent although our sleeping bags are rated for lower temps and we used two layers of reflectix on the floor below our insulated inflatable mattresses. Still the temp was much warmer in the tent vs the freezing cold outside the tent. Set up was super easy. I initially purchased a 6 person pop up tent from another manufacturer and returned it because it was a nightmare to set up and even worse to tear. The Coleman set up in 10 seconds, without staking it down, and making sure the rain fly was secured. Much faster than any other tent I’ve ever had. Tear down took about 2-3 mins. Super easy if you follow the steps as recommended on the carrying case. The key is to hold the bottom half down with you knee as you fold the top portion over to shrink it down. It’ll make sense when you see this for yourself. Down sides are you can’t stand up (unless you’re 4” tall), but I’ll take that’s expected considering it’s pop up features. It also has only 2 pockets on one side of the tent. It would be nice if there was one pocket on each side of the tent. There’s also no loop/hook to hang a lamp from in the center of the tent. You could hang a lamp on the loops that hold the tent door rolled up. Overall super happy to have purchased this tent. It will be interesting to see how well it does in warmer weather. I suppose we can leave the screen door exposed, and remove the rain fly.

Mixed emotions
The new pop-up style tents are effortless to set up and after you get the steps down for folding up the tent, it is super easy to put away. I have owned multiple pop-up tents and some different brands. Most of the pop-ups fold up the same way. The Coleman does withstand rain storms when properly prepared. Compared to and use of other designed pop-up tents the Coleman design has better features, like the panoramic star gazing roof. A floor tub that doesn't need the door to work(important for rain). Other pop-up tents needed both doors zipped closed to have the floor tub work and keep you dry from rain. Doesn't act like a giant beach ball when packing away. Yes, you still need to zip close the non-screen door if it's raining. The white Coleman tent with a lantern inside at night time is pleasant to look at while sitting next to the campfire. I have tents for different reasons like one different brand tent is for air conditioning. It has windows where I can zip the stand-up air conditioner exhaust hose in for the hot air to escape. I have only taken this tent camping once and the poles have already snapped in less than 3 months. With these tents being flat when packed up, are the last in. I have had other Coleman tent poles snapped too. I have also had a child try and bounce off of the tent like a giant ball causing a rip in the tent. I really do enjoy how fast these tents are set up and taken down, even if they do break

Great Tent with its Limitations
My Coleman Pop-Up just arrived and I have to say I am impressed. After reading all the negative comments about the quality and difficulty putting it away I was skeptical. However, the quality is on par for what it is intended to be, a simple easy overnight fair weather tent for families. As a boy scout leader and life long hiker and camper I have seen all manner of tents over the years (currently have 4) and all in all this is a good option for the novice or family looking for a quick easy solution to camping in a tent. I was looking for a quick easy tent for weekend camping when I cant use my hammock. PROS: Light and easy to put up. (However, not really a hiking tent. Packed, its a large circle that's about 32 inches across.) Everything you need in one package, stakes, rain fly, etc. Good Size for TWO (2) adults or One adult and One child. There is NO WAY you are getting 4 adults into this tent. Maybe 4, 5-10 year olds. Perfect for a couple of Cub Scouts. Lots of ventilation screening. This is most definitely a PRO since condensation at the peak of the tent can be a problem with multiple people in a tent. Free standing, the design allows it to be set up with no need to stake it down to make it stay up. Folds up flat with no bulky bag. CONS: You will need 2 cheap tarps. (One to go under the tent and one to cover the inside on the floor. The floor material is thinner than expected but a tarp covering the floor took care of any concerns I had about tearing the floor from the outside or having a cot rub a hole in the material. ) It is short inside. You will not be standing up inside as an adult but most backpacking tents have his downfall. Addressing Other Negative Comments: Zipper Being Too Tight to Zip- Apparently people are stretching the tent out lengthwise before they put the stakes into the ground. That was the only way I could get any tension in the zipper. Simply open the tent and put the stakes in the ground exactly where the loops end up. Hard To Put Away- It comes with 4 step picture instructions that are simple and easy and in English and Spanish and there are tons of YouTube videos. Posted Comment: " Myself and 4 adult men couldn't get it back in the bag." If you by yourself let alone with 4 other adults cant put this tent back in the bag and cant follow any of these instructions without breaking the poles, you probably should not be out in the woods anyway. If a true emergency were to arise I am pretty sure you're not going to make it home. Quality: Boys and Girls it is a $70 tent, if you're climbing K-12 or camping in the Amazon this is not the tent for you. (I doubt any of the people complaining have the capability to do either anyway) If you're taking the family to the park for the weekend or your younger scouts for an overnight, its perfect. Experienced campers know how to work around these minor shortfalls so see above. In summary, its a great little tent for car camping or quick 2-3 night scout camping. Good for two adults or 4 younger kids. Know its limitations and accept them. Dont wait to set it up for the first time once you're in the woods. Practice makes perfect! Lastly, be careful when opening for the first time, it is under tension! Only let one ring go at a time, otherwise you may get a face full of tent and a fat lip to remind you to be more careful next time. Happy Camping and Leave NO Trace.

Great tent for the Kids!
We have 5 kids. We bought these little pop ups for our 4 older kids to use when we go camping with our camper. They fold up super small. They are pop ups so they are easy to put up. They just explode into place. The only hard part about these are figuring out how to fold them back up. Takes some muscle and tenacity. The kids love them and have a great time camping and having their own spaces. And the parents aren't loosing the minds trying to set up conventional tents. They seem to function well in the rain and wind and don't leak. Good quality little tents. We use them as single person tents for kids. They would be a tight fit for two adults like they claim. It could be done if you really want to snuggle up with someone.

Excelente compra

Handy tent
Well made tent. Very easy to open up & close. I don't need to read the instruction how to fold it back & I just got it right with common sense. The instruction can be just confusing. Not a tricky tent to open & close. Love this one.
