Wonderful
Let me start by saying this is the coolest invention for kids. We absolutely love this set. Very sturdy and versatile. When I say "we" I mean my 5 year old and her dad who do not mind mess clutter. It is large and in charge which is nice for her to play but if you have a small house or space for this type of play, be forewarned, it can be overwhelming putting it up and taking it down if the space is needed in a pinch. Very well made. Highly recommend for people who are not OCD about clutter in their space like I am

The best fort building kit for a family fun and quiet time for mom!!!
This kit is awesome!! As other reviews mentioned, you do need an adult to assemble it as the rods and joints fit together quite snuggly. But that wasnโt an issue for me. It just reassured me that it wouldnโt just fall apart on the kids as they play. We chose the โbunkerโ design for our first fort. It only took me about 25 mins to assemble that design. While assembling it did feel a little flimsy, however once it came together it did feel more sturdy. We used a few king sized flat sheets and some smaller blankets to cover the whole structure. I purchased some clips and battery operated lights as suggested and they all work out beautifully! The clips and even strong enough to hold an ipad up as a small tv for the fort! My daughter recently broke her arm at school and this has been a nice distraction and safe activity for her to still have some fun! We love it so much I am purchasing a second kit to make even larger forts!!! Definitely recommend to anyone tired of lugging furniture around and having your couches used up for a fort for the kids!!!! Love the little storage bag that comes with it too!

Good
Not easy for a younger child to put together. Definitely will be a group project. However, theyโre really fun. Great special building/learning activity for kids 8+ Iโd say

Not super sturdy but still a lot of fun.
**update 1 year later* Sheโs still playing with this and loves it. Havenโt heard of anything breaking but sheโs not a super roughhousing kid. I would definitely recommend this for most kids (not super rough players)** Got this for a visit from my 4 year old niece. I wouldnโt expect a child under the age of probably 6-7 to be able to do this without safety/sturdiness concerns. I assembled a tall fort. The poles donโt fit into the spheres the best, and Iโm unclear on why the spheres have specific orientation (arrows need to go UP). I believe I used reasonable force to insert the poles but they never felt secure (either didnโt insert far or felt easily removed). The poles definitely bend easily under a small amount of force but none broke so their flexibility is decent. Generally I really enjoyed this but would advise caution based on the above observations. I wouldnโt expect this to last more than probably 10-15 builds. If allowing a child to assemble I wouldnโt be surprised if poles got broken. The structure was wobbly at best but held, though I did build mine tall to save my back so thatโs a contributing factor. For the price and fun its a good buy. $60 is definitely more than I wanted to spend but in the current market I suppose itโs a decent deal. Looking forward to seeing what else we can build. Appreciate the storage bag.

Fun while it lasted, but didn't last long!
I was able to put several forta together easily enough, but the forts barely tolerated the weight of the thin sheets we covered it with. It comes apart easily and is very flimsy. Super frustrating for kids and parents. I also could not figure out how to get directions for some of the other fort types pictured, and could not figure out the pyramid style one. We really liked the forts, but they just did not hold up to minimal use. They give you just enough pieces for most of them and they are cheap so if your kids are distructive and chew on them or bend and crack them, you are out of luck. I would much rather purchase a more expensive, but durable product then this one. I honestly don't know that I would recommend it. I really wanted to love it, we had fun with this product. It just is not sturdy and just does not hold up. Wish I saved my money for a sturdier set.

Nice concept, but product fails to deliver
My second worst purchase on Amazon. Purchased late June to surprise my 4yo & 6yo with a fun indoor activity for the hot summer months. I was thrilled to not have to fumble with random household objects to create a decent fort & have something the kids can help with. We finally opened it up a couple weeks ago to find that this product doesn't deliver on any of its claims. It simply will not stay together & is poorly manufactured. I am a grown adult with the intelligence & skill set far beyond what should be necessary to assemble a toy designed to be ages 5+. I followed every word of the instructions, attempted every design provided in the booklet, and spent 1+ hour for each design over the span of several days. I contacted customer support for help troubleshooting, but received an unhelpful, generic response that glazed over the fact that I told them specifically I had already tried literally EVERYTHING in the instructions. Yes, read every word of the instructions. Yes, I followed every single useless tip provided. Yes, I twisted, pushed, secured, and prayed to the fort gods. I gave this thing multiple tries and spent hours of my life making an honest effort to assemble a working fort. It does not stay together. The balls have holes that don't seem deep enough or at the correct angle required for some designs. The poles are easily bent with the force required for assembly. Additionally, a substantial portion of the holes have leftover bits of plastic from manufacturing that you have to dig/carve out to get a pole to fit. Each time you add a component beyond the base shape, a pole pops out somewhere. The closer you get toward the final design, the more precarious it gets. When you go to fix the pole(s) that pop out, yep...other poles come out. If you manage to get it to a point the structure is sturdy enough to stand, good luck getting the sheet(s) over it without any poles popping out. And if by some miracle you've got a sheet on, well the weight from that means it takes a simple bump to quickly demolish the entire project (1+hr build, 7 min use, 5 sec demolition, 0 hope for fun). The idea that a child could build this is laughable considering it isn't even sturdy enough to be used. Moreover, the dimensions of the components don't really provide enough space for bigger kids with some designs, so the design options will become drastically limited beyond the age of 6 without purchasing a second kit to make larger forts. I'm not sure if I just got an abnormally bad batch of components, if I have some different/lesser version of the product that happens to suck, or if all the positive reviews are a scam. In any case - you have been warned. The bag that comes with fits everything - the one good thing about this product. If you do intend to use this product, I would highly recommend washing & wiping down all the pieces beforehand as 3 out of 4 people in my home experienced moderate skin irritation from handling the product.

Awesome fort kit!
These are perfect for building the ultimate fort. A little hard for my four year old to put together, but for my six year old itโs perfect!

Very user friendly and peaks their imagination.
Wonderful gift for a boy who loves to put things together and build things. My grandson really loves this toy. He has taken it apart and rebuilds his different forts he makes and is having a blast doing it.

Almost Perfect!
Such a great concept! My 6yo has had so much fun since it arrived! But one of the connectors had a small crack in the top hole, making the connection too loose. And the set doesnโt contain enough pieces to complete some of the projects in the instructions, which has been frustrating to my son. Furthermore, when any of us try to follow the instructions for the rooftops that curve in, we canโt seem to get triangle and square shapes where theyโre supposed to be. We have tried so many configurations. Iโm not sure if this is the productโs fault, or if weโre doing it the wrong ways, and thereโs only one right way? Whatever the case, it should be a little bit more intuitive, in my opinion! And should at least come with all the pieces necessary to complete all the projects in the instruction book. Otherwise, itโs such a great idea, and my son loves it!
