KURETAKE 5 BLACK Refill ink for No.7, 8 & Mannen Mouhitsu series, good for lettering, calligraphy, illustration, art, writing, sketching tool, made in japan

As I complete and prepare to release the third issue of my Self-published comicbook "The First Light" I would be remiss if I didn't give a ton of credit to the tools that have made it's success possible. The Kuretake Sumi Brush is simply the most amazing tool for inking I have ever owned (At 60-years old that covers a lot of tools, believe me!!). The Cartridges add to that enjoyment by making this a very easy to load tool. They snap in so easily, and quick, I don't miss a beat. What I enjoy about the brush is it's ability to be extremely precise and can provide either very thin or thick lines when I want. I highly recommend the bruash and cartirdge to any artist in any field.

Lays a dark black on cotton papers. It is three times as dark as higgins ink. To cover a pure black surface I do two passes of this ink (in kuretake inkbrushes) as opposed to higgins which needs four to five rounds. This ink is water soluble, and will create lovely cool-gray shades if a wet watercolor brush goes over it. I use this on last step of my watercolor paintings to define blackest areas and lines. If my inking work does not need any water media, I just use this in my kuretake brush pen all the way. "Bucked up" is a sample drawing attached...

It works as it should and was promptly delivered

well, they are definitely well-made, and i respect that--as it is hard to come by. The ink is pretty good. However, unlike most refill cartridges, these are so sturdy that they do not really respond to squeezing if you are one who looks for a thick flow now and again for illustration or calligraphy. I overcame this problem by dedicating a pair of forcepts to my work table. Although i dont need addititional crap cluttering up the space, i have learned the the forcept can fulfill many other useful functions there. (and because of this products role in that last discovery, i am upping the rating to four)

These are the only cartridges I will use in my natural hair Kuretake brush pen - the ball bearing inkstop in each cartridge, and the quality ink to match the quality pen, makes this decision easy. I bought a bunch of these - you should too.

They are smaller than I expected, but they are ideally priced. I don't know how long they last though. We have a lot of Japanese to practice this year for homeschooling.

These arrived a lot sooner than expected and in good condition. It even came with a candy. O uo;; It was pretty random, but hey, who am I to reject free candy? Awesome service, awesome timing.

Unfortunately it didn’t work for Kuretake No.22 Brush Pen. Returned it.

J'ai acheté ces cartouches pour mon stylo pinceau à calligraphie Kuretake Sumi-Brush No8, elles envoient juste ce qu'il faut d'encre dedans pour éviter les pâtés ou une pointe insuffisamment encrée. Ce sont de super cartouches d'encre qui ne sont pas trop chères (mais ne durent pas très longtemps si l'on s'en sert beaucoup). J'aime vraiment la couleur de l'encre et la manière dont elle tient sur le papier. Attention à l'eau cependant qui dilue l'encre. Son els cartutxos de tinta del Kuretake i s'han de tenir, perque de tant en quan, t'els demana, l'has de tenir mimadet. Però és que "el nen" s'ho val i si, hi han alternatives bones com ara convertidors d'estilográfica de la marca Platinum i la seva meravellosa Carbon Ink. Pero mai et poden faltar uns cartutxets pel Kuretake, ell s'ho vai i jo que els recomano. Endavant.

The refills work well with the Kuretake No. 8 Fountain Brush Pen. Very happy with the colour and consistency of the ink. It produces a very even black coverage. **On my second round of refills, and still just as happy with the product.

Arrivato con 1 settimana in anticipo!!! Inizio col dire che io le uso su una sumi brush Pen blister n.8 per uso fumettistico, prima utilizzavo una normale BP della pentel ma ormai dopo vari mesi con la kuretake mi sento di poter dire con sicurezza di non voler tornare più indietro, queste cartucce sono ottime, come da titolo del prodotto ne escono 5, l'inchiostro per mio gusto personale è il migliore che ho trovato però attenzione, non è waterproof! (Per me non è un problema dato che ripeto, lo uso a scopo fumettistico) per finire lo consiglio a tutti quelli che desiderano un nero coprente ma fluido!
