Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra 5g is amazing.
I'm writing this review on the phone. What is there to say? Honestly is the perfect phone. It literally does everything, still even in 2026. It comes with 128gb internal storage space, which isn't really enough but... you can out a micro SD card in it like I did. I have a 1 tb micro SD card in it. Works perfectly. I haven't tried it yet but I might upgrade to a 2tb micro SD. The only issue is the camera (which is an amazing freaking camera) sometimes it loses focus and I have to tap it to make it refocus. It's the only reason I have to upgrade to a new Samsung s22,23,24 or 25 ultra. Honestly, aside from the camera issue, it's a perfect phone. I've read the camera issue can be solved by replacing the main camera. Otherwise the camera works great and the amount of clear detail I get with photos and video is amazing. I really only have good things to say about this phone which is now a 6 year old phone.

eSIM not working from 1 of 3 Sellers! Otherwise still best Samsung Flagship with SD Card
I ordered over the past year 3 Phones from this exact same listing (same Color Bronze). The Problem is, that they are sold by independant refurbisher they all claim to be "SM-N986U1" = Factory unlocked Phones US Market. The first one I ordered in June2023 for my Cousin that was travelling and her Note9 broke down. The Phone was sold by "ELECTRONIC DEALS" . Wonderful Phone all is working great. As it was such a wonderful experience I thought I order one for myseld as a Backup in case my original European Note 20 Ultra would break down one day... This came 2 weeks later sold by "WirelessGlobe" again absoluetly amazing Condition and all worked. But when I ordered one this December 2023 again, the phone was sold by "HUMAN TECH". Again looked in perfect excellent condition. BUT I was unable to add an eSIM, regular SIM was no problem (So there was no SIM Lock!). As it turns out after contacting Samsung US - Support and them asking for the IMEI number, the Phone was actually built as a AT&T variant (SM-N986U and not U1) and was SIM-Locked once but now unlocked. Unfortuantely deep down in the system somehow eSIM was still locked and there is nothing that they can do about that, although the Phone About Screen has clearly mentioned the SM-N986U1, it was unusable with a eSim. So be careful when you even get a beatiful phone, and today you don't need eSIM maybe in the future you are travelling and then you find out you can't add eSIM... so test within the Return Window from Amazon if eSIM is working!!! In my case whn scanning QR Code of E-Sim it would just loop back to intital screen in SIM Manger. After upgrading to last Firmware, when clicking add eSIM I would only get the 4 Dots circling forever and nothing would happen. So beware of Sellers probably masking a SM-N986U unlocked AT&T Version as a Factory unlocked U1... Unfortunately NOT THE SAME!!! Attched picture1 shows in the older firmware the Scan eSIM is coming up, but will loop back to attached picture 2. After Firmware Upgrade it loops from the beginning. And in case you're asking if manually add the String, same thing loops back to picture 2.

Phone was not as described or advertised, total disappointment.
Unfortunately I did not have a good experience with this Amazon seller. The phone was not unlocked as the seller claimed in the description. Also the phone was not a refurbished phone. Upon booting the phone it was not fully charged, where it already had an account on the phone. The seller claimed the phone was unlocked, however, the phone booted with t-mobile software and was not factory reset. This prompted me to reach out to Samsung to confirm if the phone was unlocked or not where I was told by the rep after providing the IMEI information that the phone is locked to T-mobile carrier. I next contacted t-mobile and the rep stated that the phone is not eligible to be unlocked, which rendered the phone unusable. This ordeal has been a huge inconvenience due to the fact I spent money on the phone with guarantee it would be unlocked and working. The seller had responsibility to ensure the phone was wiped of all previous user data, as well as ensuring the phone was not restricted to any carrier. If so, I would not be writing my review to warn others. I should not have had to go through so many hoops to confirm the validity of the phone when the phone should have been in the 'unlocked condition' as described on Amazon. I am recommending that AMAZON put in place a system that requires the SELLER to verify that the phone is unlocked by loading IMEI info before we as the CUSTOMER complete the purchase to prevent this from reoccurring. I have reached out to the seller to resolve this issue and have sent the phone back to receive a full refund. This experience has made me question Amazon's standards in regards to electronics where I do not have confidence or faith in purchasing any phone that is claimed to be unlocked from its Amazon sellers. Not until Amazon can guarantee that sellers will be true to their listings. In addition, the seller should be more mindful and considerate of the phones they are selling to people as we are spending real money and trusting that they will send us a phone that works and is truly unlocked with no restrictions as described. Please be aware of the risks you are taking when purchasing a "refurbished" or "renewed" phone from Amazon as you may not recieve the item as it is described on Amazon.

Reliable flagship at a fraction of the price
The phone arrived fast, and was in almost perfect condition, aside from very minimal scratches and one or two small, barely visible, dents. Performance wise the device handles great, it could do with a battery replacement, but the battery life isn't so bad that the device is unusable. Packaged, was an aftermarket charger and cable which did not allow for fast charging. Overall, would definitely buy from this seller again.

Samsung Reliability Reconditioned, Really Nice at a Bargain Price
I just upgraded to my 2nd Amazon renewed phone. I replaced my 7 year old phone with another Samsung Galaxy Note phone and it seems that it will be another good ride. I went for this Galaxy Note 20 Ultra because it was the last year for a memory card, 12 gigs of ram over my 6 gig Note 9 and another year when the cameras were improved. My seller had upgraded the operating system to Android 13 from Android 10. It arrived quickly and perfectly with a fast charge chord, a blue tooth programmed S pen and a screen protector was already applied. My Note 9 was still goodt for being 2018 and I expect this one will be just as good. This one is listed as a gaming phone and perhaps that is why it was hard to get one. No glitches with this phone and what a shock going from 4g and 6 gigs to this powerful 12 gig phone. The fingerprint was easy to program and Android 13 has many different bells and whistles over the earlier phone. I have always used my S pen and they don't always get checked when refurbished so I appreciate this seller. The power is such that the phone really did not heat up while the other phone was transferred over. The camera is not the latest but it is a big upgrade in picture quality from my earlier phone and with a card, i have lots of room for pix. I did get a sturdy case cover as that let my other phone survive many falls and bounces. There is a reason people still like and buy these elderly phones. Their designs still work, they had extras for their time and they are a good bargain. I thank Amazon and the seller "Chubby" for several more years.

Feels like I wasted my money on this one
Seemed in good condition when I bought it. But it has consistently had an issue where I press the button to turn on the screen and it doesn't turn on. Sometimes if I swipe up it will still unlock but it is annoying to have to mess with it to get it to turn on. This model also has an issue where dirt gets inside on the selfie camera, which then requires having someone open it and clean it out or living with black spots on your pics. I personally don't like the selfie camera being in the screen, they were attempting to make the screen feel bigger but it causes swiping down from the top to not function as well as it did on my Note 9. This phone may be technically more advanced but the Note 9 was better, if it hadn't died I'd still be using it.

Things I know now and wished I knew before re Samsung Note20 Ultra purchase on Amazon
So I bought a refurbished Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra via Amazon on 4/30/23. This was my first refurbished phone purchase and I was unsure of how it would turn out. Why? Because the reviews were sufficiently mixed with happy people and people who received less than what they ordered. Amazon is great for returns if the item is faulty, so that's why I bought here. In short, I wanted an android phone with a pen, and the ability to add in my own memory card. This is the last Note with the option to add memory. I read lots of reviews on this model and while it's not perfect, it fit the bill for me. Overall reviews were good on Amazon. Yet there are an abundance of sellers with varying performance ratings, while the reviews are gathered all together. Add to that many of the listings said condition would be excellent or good or whatever, but didn't indicate which condition I would receive. Also prices vary between listings. Not a whole bunch, but there are differences. So I kept looking. Ultimately I found a listing that stated the condition I wanted (I went for excellent). But here's where it gets interesting -- to the right of your webpage, under checkout, lists the name of the refurbishing provider with a hyperlink. I often check this before I buy because the provider's background informs me how they do business. If they have many complaints. Or if they're located out of the USA. In my case, the company was located in Colorado and they had sold a number of phones, most with positive reviews. So I went with them. Here's their name, just in case you're interested: Macalegin Electronics, LLC. Fort Collins, CO. My phone arrived timely. It was well-packed and included a SIM release tool, charger plug-in and wire. The plug-in was, or at least looked, new and OEM. The cord was iffy, so I used my own. They work well together. The phone looked like new. No scratches I could find, charged quickly, and at the time of this writing works problem-free. I also bought a camera scratch protector and case from Spigen (thru Amazon) and both arrived directly from the manufacturer. I am a happy camper. I have 90 days to test this unit. If anything goes wrong I'll edit my posting. I highly recommend this provider. My suggestions are to make sure the listing you're buying from promises you the condition you want. Also check to see who or what business is providing it to you and how they deal with returns and/or complaints. It just makes like easier. Cheers!
