In the picture the front blade tip looks longer/bigger that the back blade. Is this the case? I am looking for scissors that can cut right at the tip.

That is exactly what I use these scissors for. I have a youtube channel on decoupage and I am forever recommending these scissors for all fine and tricky cuts in paper. The other option is to use a cutting matt with a knife, that also works really well. Hope this helps!Patioelf on youtube.

Are they good for cutting plastic canvas ?

I don't know. They're good for paper, and very sharp. I use Joyce Chen kitchen scissors for heavy cutting: 28 gauge copper, etc. They might do your work.

Great Quality - Reasonable Price

This is priced much higher than other Scissors on Amazon platform - but the high price is fully justified, if you need a Quality product that, if used carefully, will easily last a lifetime! If you are a fan of Good Quality, Sturdy Build, Great Feeling on using it - Go for it! I am deliberately submitting this review, at least a month after I tested this product on the above parameters , post my daily use.
