These whelping collars are great! The colors are bright and make it super easy to tell the puppies apart. They’re soft, adjustable, and perfect for newborn pups. At the right price.

U have to make sure velcro is 100% in tact and evenly placed and the puppy will outgrow it or it will get dirty before it wears out. They worked perfectly for my litter of 13 puppies, but bc they grew so fast and collars got nasty fast, I needed to replace within a week. So I wud suggest to buy more than what u need. They are washable but if u don't cut long enough and velcro cannot be placed evenly and on the entire inch to 1.5 inch surface, then debri will cling to it, rendering the velcro useless.

Worked great for kittens

These collars are the right ones to get for newborns. The nylon ones are great after a few weeks, but these are the only ones that can be sized to tiny necks. They aren't durable, but they don't need to last more than those first few weeks. The colors do need to be chosen carefully, as it is too easy to confuse light green and dark green and medium green, but these will be more than enough for multiple litters, so just save the ones that can be confused with one you used for next time. These can be adjusted to practically 6 weeks old, but they shouldn't be used that long, don't waste your time trying, they will just fall off after a month anyway.

I honestly cant say if this is related or not. But my kittens were completely healthy and then a few hours after I put the collars on them, they all started vomiting. I did not wash them or anything before I put them on them, so that could have been my fault. again, could be completely circumstantial. But that was literally the only thing we did differently so I wonder if it could have been reaction to the dye or some chemical from manufacturing. So take my warning and maybe wash them before putting it on a tiny baby animal. They work well enough tho. Not the best Velcro, but you probably don’t want it too secure just in case they get hung up on something it will break away.

We recently adopted two nearly identical 14 week old kittens so I bought collars to help us tell them apart. At first we tried XS breakaway kitten collars, but they were too bulky and the kittens kept getting them stuck in their mouths trying to get them off. So I ordered these simple, lightweight, colorful collars. But they haven't really worked out for us, either. The collars are made of a soft, durable fabric with a Velcro-type fastener on one end and it's very easy to cut down the other end without the material fraying. However, both of our kittens managed to get their collars off during the night. The one we thought was properly fitted ended up in the kitten's mouth long enough to create scabs around the corners of his mouth. The other collar, which wasn't trimmed down at all, we found on the floor, still fastened to itself, and chewed/torn into two pieces. I honestly don't know if the issue is with the collars or with our very determined kittens. For those wondering about the size: These collars are 12" long with about another 2" of Velcro type fastener. Without trimming and by fastening the entire Velcro portion onto the other end, the collar makes a circle large enough to easily slip onto a 20oz Yankee Candle Jar and sit loosely in place.

Great for cats and puppies for name tag or by color

It’s been a week since I put them on my kittens. They never came off. You may have to cut it short to get the perfect size. The kittens are not uncomfortable by these Velcro bands and the colours are very flattering. Overall it’s a go-to product. I would totally recommend to anyone. 10/10

These collars are perfect for identifying young animals. I use them on puppies and kittens. They are long enough for the chubby little necks of a puppy and can be shortened easily for the teeniest kitten too. Multiple colors are great but if you need to, you can easily write on them with a permanent marker as well.

Quite durable the velcro can get little bits of fluff in it and come apart but other than that very soft and comfortable, needs to be wrapped around the puppies neck twice for newborns, but this did not pose any issues at all, remember to check the puppies neck everyday for possible adjustments to the collar puppies grow quickly,overall I'm very satisfied with this product it has made keeping track of the puppies very easy

These are great. I'm giving a detailed review with "Things to consider" simply because I didn't consider the things below prior to purchase and I find it frustrating when searching for products to see lower ratings due to buyers just not having realistic expectations. Cons first Lost a star due to the fact that it says for whelping in description and should only be used after 1 week of age. Otherwise, they are as one might expect if their expectations are realistic. They are way too long for even extra large breed puppies up until the length of time they can be used. As only one end has velcro, a long "Tail" will come out the top which makes them easy for their little feet to push / pull off each other during the feeding frenzies. To consider prior to purchase: These collars can only really be used until 3 weeks of age and they they will be fairly useless after pups first deworming at 2 weeks as they get pulled and pushed off during feeding. Each time they come off, they fall off easier than the last. Every day the first week, I would wake to find 1-2 collars on the blanket in their little "Nest". After 2 weeks, I would find 3-6 every morning and by the end of the second week, I was having to put them back on during the day all day. However due to the velcro and soft short material it sticks to and the other features that actually make these collars desirable, this is unavoidable (except with the forementioned length complaint above). In retrospect, I could have cut off the excessive length and burned the edges so it wouldn't fray / become a choking hazard, but didn't. Over all thoughts: I highly recommend these. In fact, if life grants me another litter to whelp and raise, I will 100% be purchasing these again

Great welping collars at first. But eventually around 4-5 weeks. The velcro doesn't hold any more, even after hand washing
