Great replacement parts
Nice way to get replacement steering parts for my riding mower. Love that it comes with two of each part so that have a back up set for future needs. Easy to install for any diy person. Nice fit and quality pieces.

Cub cadet mower
Repaired grandsons mower. Removed lower bolts slid sterring shaft up installed gear and bushing reinstalled bolt. Done

Worked perfect and fixed the steering issue on my mower.

Thin bushing.
Gear seems well made. Not sure of the longevity. The bushing is a bit thin. I purchased separately a thicker bushing that with likely last much longer. The bushing is the key failure point not the gear. The gear gets worn after the bushing wears out.

Perfect fit for Cub Cadet LT1042
High quality, great price. Fit my Cub Cadet LT1042 perfectly. No thickness issues, as others have indicated. Not sure what mower those reviewers had. Can't beat the value on the 2-pack. This is a fairly easy and straight-forward repair. There are good YouTube videos on it. I would recommend for all skill levels. It could save you a costly professional repair!

Perfect fit for cub cadet LT1042
This is a perfect fit for the cub cadet lt1042. Looked identical to the original. 15 minutes to install and the mower was steering as good as new. Hopefully it will last as long as the original.

Not necessarily universal
The Hex Bushing' collar was too thin for my cub cadet , as it requires a thicker collar to encase and secure the steering shaft in place as it is designed... However the Steering Shaft Pinion Gear fit machine as required

Works perfect for my white outdoor lawn mower. quick and easy replacement (15 minutes to replace) don't know if I'll ever use the second gear and washer the original lasted 15 years and not sure the mower has that much left in it lol
