EarthMinded FlexiFit Universal Diverter System - Works with Standard Rectangular Downspouts - Easily Connects Your Existing Rain Barrel to a Downspout Diverter System

The EarthMinded FlexiFit Diverter was really easy to install and very effective. No need to cut your downspout (just one hole added). I watched videos showing installation of various diverters and this is the easiest. We used this with the Step2 Lakewood Rain Barrel with Stand, Outdoor Water Conservation Container, Holds 60 Gallons. These rain barrels are really sturdy, have the best shape to fit against an exterior wall, come with a great stand, are packaged well, and have a great valve system.

I used this kit to make a water collector for the back of my house. out of one of my spare trash Rubbermaid cans. I have the smaller odd sized downspouts, and this process works perfectly. Very easy to put in place, it has never clogged or leaked, or caused an overflow.

Works very well. I was skeptical of the overflow function allowing water to continue down the downspout, but the design does seem to work. Its easy to install. If you can turn a screwdriver and use a drill you can do this. Mine is has been in use for 2 seasons and is still going strong. No leaks! This is the second one I've bought and can recommend it.

The product came with all the necessary tools to install, which I felt was a bonus. It was easy to install and works great! We installed it 3 weeks ago and so far so good. It comes with an insert for the winter when you remove the plastic hose. The plastic hose is very light and does blow around in the wind, but you have the option to create a whole in the barrel. I would definitely recommend this product.

I was skeptical of how well it would work, but after following the installation instructions and getting our first good rain I can honestly say it works GREAT! About an hour of good steady rain and the barrel is 2/3 full!

The EarthMinded FlexiFit Universal Diverter System was straightforward to install and has worked as advertised this summer. I haven't yet tried to winterize the system. I would recommend setting up your rain barrel in advance in the position and at the exact height you want before installing the diverter, as your ability to change the setup afterward will be pretty limited. I would also read the instructions through completely before starting the installation (as is also recommended in the instructions). I did have an issue with the smaller hole saw loosening up on my drill head when cutting into my plastic barrel (former olive barrel). I am not sure whether I just failed to tighten the hole saw properly or whether the barrel was overly thick. In any event, I was able to cut the hole in one try despite the saw loosening up. There may be some very small leakage around the hole in the downspout adjacent to the ribs/grooves in the downspout wall. I gently filed off the rough edges of the hole in the downspout in an effort to help reduce potential damage to the rubber diverter when it is time to remove the diverter from the downspout to winterize the system.

Installation was a snap, and it rained that evening and filled my 55gal barrel. I went with this because the installation seemed clean (it was), serves as both the fill and overflow pipe, and can be neatly closed up for the winter or if we disconnected the rain barrel. (The water you see in the photos was from me testing the barrel tap.)

C'mon people, how hard is it to say, "This product is meant for 2"x3" downspouts" ANYWHERE in the product description? Or even the listing title? "Standard" doesn't mean anything to people who don't know what the 'standard' is! Now I'm spending another $32 on 2 "EarthMinded FlexiFit Diverter Upgrade for 3 x 4 Inch Rectangular Downspouts - For New or Existing Installations - Easy to Install - Catch Rain Water for Outdoor Chores" Why isn't 3x4 an option for THIS kit?
