Electric Guitar Pickup Harness - Pre-wired 6-pole Single Coil with Volume & Tone

I had a First Act with a really bad sounding pickup.I ordered this to replace it with,was so cheap if it did'nt help what had I lost a few dollars. For the price it is amazeing and works great.How can you go wrong with this item

Low Quality Sound.... But super low Price... So you get what you pay for.I built my own little guitar out of a cigar box and thought it would be fun to plug it into an amp. This little pickup actually worked pretty well. The sound is just okay. The tone and volume knobs do the job.If your looking for a cheap pickup and have low expectations for sound.. then this is the product for you. Great for little projects like mine. Not great for professional musicians.If you had some decent amp equipment and EQ, then you could probably get better sound out of it. I got what I expected.

The pickguard material that the pickup mounts to seems a little bit flimsy. I get a pretty nasty hum when plugged in. Maybe replace with a strat-sized HB? Dime sized pots. The jack is decent enough. All in all: it will get you amplified, but I gotta figure out this hum problem.

this pickup is great! the shipping came very fast and i was very satisfied. At first i was a little skeptical, but i was like what the heck its like $15 so i got it and it over satisfies my expectations. the volume and tone knobs are excellent and the output jack works fabulous. i have bought from CB Gitty before and they have great costomer service. my only complaint is this package didnt come with a CB Gitty sticker like some of my previous ones have, but oh well. overall a great buy and will be buying more from them.P.S. it works great on my Cigar Box Guitar

The first one of these I used, did not work at all. After troubleshooting, I solder out the tone control and switched it for the volume pot that seemed to be shorted out perhaps from too much heat from the ground soldering on the back from the factory. Everything worked but there was still hum that I eliminated by running it through an effects pedal. The second one worked but had overwhelming static and hum, but it was cheap. I wired bypassing the controls, plugged it into a separate volume pedal and into an amp. It works fine now but with a little hum. I may still use these in the future because they are very inexpensive. I would use a better and more expensive pickups on better quality guitars. In the future, for one of my inexpensive projects, I would probably just order the pickup without the wiring harness and controls. But, rethinking, even buying an output jack and a bit of shielded cable at Radio Shack would have been more expensive in the end. You can't beat the price.

I bought this for a cbg build. After I installed it i was getting a terrible buzz from the amp. I tore it all apart and found out that the ground wire was misswired to the tip of the input jack rather than the shaft. This drove me crazy for hours until I figured it out and had to resolder the leads to the right terminals. Pretty bad for a prewired setup. after that it is working well and I like it. I would be sure to check it over before install!

Finished my ancient archtop off with this kit. Arrived quickly, with instructions. Couldn't be simpler. Tone pot already had capacitor soldered in place. I just bolted in the coil, fixed the pots in place, and put the jack in the end pin location. Took all of ten minutes and my old Kay Spanish electric sings again! Sounds great. Definitely will be getting another one of these for my next project. Couldn't be happpier with the results. Thanks!

It came with the one of the input solders broken but for this price I expected more problems. After fixing that little hiccup it works perfectly, exactly what i needed for the little project I'm doing. I would recommend it to anyone who is just looking for something cheap and quick.
