Once you go keyless you will never go back!!
I love this keyless door lock! It is durable, great quality, and so easy to install, it works great and is so easy to use! Even my 6 year old uses it with ease. The best part is I never have to dig through my purse to find my keys. So handy when my arms are full!! I installed this 5 months ago and it still has full battery life. Definitely getting value for the affordable cost.

Awesome locks!
We have 5 exterior doors and it was a pain to carry keys around all the time. These deadbolts solved the problem for 3 years now! Best aspects: - Manual turn of bolt saves batteries. We are three years into the deadbolts and still using original batteries. Not all door locks line up perfectly and if there is any resistance, an electronic motor would consume battery power. However, for these locks, it is a manual turn. Brilliant combination of electronic and manual. - Key pad does not wear out. - You can set several codes for family members' favorite code. - With 5 locks, I changed the programing code to the same for all of them so I can manage them all with one programing code (not same as the unlock code(s)). - They look great and work great. These are easy to install, use and stand the test of time. HIGHLY recommended over other types.

I wish I'd installed this many years ago!
I've always had exterior doors with latches that don't lock and used a deadbolt to lock the door as these require action to lock the door whether from inside or outside. This essentially eliminates the possibility of ever being locked out without my keys. So I wanted a combination lock that would never lock automatically. This fit the bill as it requires that the thumbscrew be turned to lock the door whether from inside or outside. I like the fact that this model does not have a manual key lock embedded in its thumbscrew because this means there's no lock to 'pick' and it also makes clear to a visitor/1st-time user what the function of the thumbscrew is - the ones that combine thumbscrew and keylock don't look obviously a thumbscrew. Another advantage of this design that required physical human action to lcok the door is that the absence of a motor to move the deadbolt in/out of the 'lock' position means the battery lasts many times longer. I was a little thrown by the higher price tag compared to some of the competition but two features swung me in the direction of this one: 1. The audible and visible 'low battery' alert 2. In an emergency, the ability to "jump start" the lock by touching terminals of a fresh 9v battery to unobtrusive terminals on exterior keypad 3. The sleek uncluttered, contemporary matt black and chrome design Since the door in which I installed this is thicker than most and is made of steel, not wood, I was not confident that I would be able to install it. But, as it turned out, installation was a breeze. It's only been in place a few hours, long enough for me to change default codes and enter a few personal codes. Seems very simple and easy to use (crucial to keep programming code secure but also readily accessible in case of emergency - this can be a challenge with such things sometimes) I wish I'd installed this many years ago!

Schlage keyless deadbolt really works!
A good solution for a Schlage keyless entry deadbolt. Not WiFi connected so can’t be hacked. Schlage doesn’t have an easy re-key process like Kwiklock which keeps the key in their version. So enable/disable manual deadbolt locking is a less preferred but workable solution. No problems in 6 months of use. Recommended.

Easy to install, long battery life
We had this lock on a rental property, and it worked so well that when I bought my own house, I immediately ordered one and installed it. It works flawlessly, and is both intuitive and simple to operate. Battery life is excellent - it’s been installed for over a year and hasn’t needed a new battery. This is because the battery just activates your ability to unlock it instead of moving the deadbolt as some other electronic locks do. I am happy that it is not internet connected - feels more secure to me. Between the function and solid build, I think this is one of the best options available for a simple keyless deadbolt. One last thing - there are battery terminals on the outside that allow you to power it up using a 9v battery if the internal battery dies - this prevents you from getting locked out unintentionally. I haven’t had to use this feature, but it provides great peace of mind. Just make sure to stash a spare 9v battery somewhere in case this happens!

Only 1/3 ordered works
Bought 3 of these to replace door locks and these are terrible. First one is installed and works perfectly, second one installed well but the programming code did not match the lock they sent, third one seems to have an internal component issue that won’t turn the deadbolt and after watching a few tutorials on how to fix it I will have to do a warranty claim with Schlage.

Great product
Easy to use. Keypad doesn’t light up though and there’s no WiFi capabilities with this lock. Still great cheaper option for keyless entry.

Works well w/ keypad handle
I did not like the idea of having only one of two bolts locked, as Schlage & other manufacturers seem to be normalizing in their keyless lock marketing. Thanks to another reviewer's photo with a tape measure, I determined this style could fit both the deadbolt & the handle keypads with my existing door hole positions already plenty far apart. I had forgotten my deadbolt hole was the old smaller size, though. Because I was stacking these straight-edged keypads, I had to be very careful to align (with paper shims) my new hole jig to cut the new larger hole exactly in line with the lower handle hole -so the keypads' left & right edges would not only line up to each other, but also be parallel to the door's vertical stile edge that is near the right keypad edges. On my old door, that stile edge & the door edge are very close to plumb, but not quite, so I used the visible stile edge as the main reference to be sure the two keypads would look correct on the door. I watched for like-new open-box deals to be able to afford the two keypads. Not finding my favorite style in the same color, I was glad to confirm my hunch that the "rubbed bronze" is a perfect match with "matte black," save for the minor "rubbed" coppery hints only on the sharp edges. Stacked, you are looking down from above & it would be hard to notice the lower handle assembly did not have any dark copper hints at the edges like the deadbolt assembly. Even so, I used a sharpie marker over the "rubbed" bits & now have a great visual match. With the curvier styles or with the lower handle being the bronzed part, it might be a little trickier to de-bronze all the edges, but the rectangular deadbolt was pretty simple & looked very close & compatible with the neighboring "matte black" anyway. In the past, I've had "oil rubbed bronze" schlage hardware that would get chalky, splotchy & sometimes badly discolored from cleaners, hand sanitizer, etc. So, I'm glad to find the metal case of this deadbolt has a finish that seems likely to be more durable. It is fairly matte, but not made to absorb an actual oil finish, nor absorb things that would harm the finish. I like the jumper-battery solution to eliminate key hassle & picking risk & I tested to confirm it works. I also love the ease of locking this deadbolt as you leave - via single tap & traditional twist. (We keep the lower handle in the always-locked position.) The convenience & safety of the interior latches on both locks are great, too. I very much appreciate the lack of a motorized bolt, as that is sure to fail with misalignment or even a bit of friction at some point - possibly in a way you would not realize. It feels much safer & sustainable to flip the bolt & feel it either engage all the way or hit the plate if the door has not been pulled all the way closed. It is also less bulky than motorized bolts. I was worried that entering two 4-digit codes to get in would be tedious, but it is an easier & faster one-handed operation than using a metal key, when you get used to it. For both devices, the wire routing & battery placement are frustrating. The wires are too short to fit one way & too long to avoid sharp crimping and cramming the other way. The battery doesn't have a secure compartment, just a vague sort of general area, so it shifts as you try to slide the cover over it & the wedged-in wires. I also hate that they used a fairly flimsy/brittle feeling plastic for the majority of the interior-side case - right where you hands will rub when flipping the latch. That wear & necessary cleaning seem sure to eventually mar the texture & structural integrity. Add to that, the cheap-toy fitment where it slides & sort of latches in place, & I think it will prove to be the weak point of the assembly. On the exterior, it sort of looks like the edges of the flat keypads might not be weather sealed to the metal case, but I think they are more internally sealed..? Through days of a horizontal firehose weather "event," they work great. That said, the outer case houses the keypad & lock-engaging electronics, & it has necessary holes for wires, etc. that sit against the door face. The door-to-housing faces are not going to be perfectly flush in most cases, so an extra-exposed door in a very wet environment could warrant adding a thin bit of caulk to seal to the door at the top & side edges. (Maybe leave the bottom to allow some escape of condensation?) Even with the flaws, others have much worse issues, & I think this is the best looking & best functioning style of home keypad door locks. I am very glad I decided to stack the two keypads, ditch the keys, & keep the same dual-level security as a traditional setup with locking handle plus deadbolt.

It is not new product. Although it was stated New in the product description.
It is not a new product. Although it was stated New in the product description. Bolt length is NOT adjustable. Items are missing. Missing items: strike plate, reinforcement plate, screws. Now I understand why there were some reviews saying the product was either not working at all or failed after installed for a while. Rejected products were recycled, I guessed. Delivery was a nightmare. First received message that it was delivered but it was not true. After finding some excuses from Amazon, re-deliver again and finally received. Before I received the re-deliver items, Amazon asked for return of the items which I have not received. What an amazing logistics!!! First time try Amazon after buying from many other online platforms for so many years. What an unforgettable experience!

Uses your hand to throw the bolt, which is far more reliable
Excellent lockset. I did not want a "smart" version that you can operate via phone because they are finicky without perfect door&jamb alignment, and they consume much more battery power. This is perfect for a family, no need for everyone to have a key. Our first battery lasted about 6 months and we are on our second. No problem in -20C weather but the door likely conducts heat from the inside. If you want to use this on a garage door or unheated building, it is possible that you might have low temp performance issues. My wife was very picky on the shape and design, this is why we settled on this model. It looks good in place and we now have three identical models. We would have not bought the second two of we didn't like our first trial balloon. Easy to set up a second or temporary combo for visitors, contractors, etc.
