We set up a hydroponic system and this is working splendidly for it. The water is moved through the system with just the right amount of pressure.

I tried other pumps but they didn't have enough power. This one is just right. Not too big and not too small...just right.

So long as this has adequate head, it's fairly quiet. Becomes noisy as the pressure falls, which is both a good forewarning that you need to add water, but a little annoying because the pump profile is fairly tall. Probably great for fish tanks, makes a shallow fountain a bit high-maintenance with frequent refills.

stopped working in just 4 months. previous purchase of the same item worked for a year. also video shows you can open and clean bottom housing but it's fused shut in my model. time to order another brand

Great pump quiet,only wish I'd bought the next bidder pump but that's my fault

I bought this as part of an engineering project for my university. They are powerful, and was able to push 100 Liters of water a height of3 feet in under 20 minutes.

I ordered two of these, relying on the seller's description of gallons per hour moved and height water could be lifted. Right out of the box the pump was extremely light weight, not an early indicator of superior quality. I hooked one pump up to a fountain with a lift of about 3.5 feet and the flow was a wimpy little dribble, about what you'd expect from one of those cube-shaped table fountain pumps. I ran water through the fountain tubing with my garden hose and the flow was unobstructed. I did not attempt to use the second pump and will be returning it unopened. While the pump was pathetic, it ran very quietly. The first pump is being returned as well - slightly used.

This pump might have worked under different circumstances. I bought this for a 7 foot tall hydroponic tower. Unfortunately the pump could only push the water to around 5 feet. I picked up a 1/4 HP pump as a replacement.

I used this for draining my decorative pond and took about 2 hours. It leaves you with about 1 - 2 inches of water on the bottom and that's it. Does what I needed it for without the extreme price.

Box receive was a open and have been return previously. I understand why it is not powerful to move up the water of my small Fontaine.
