Cuisinart Food Processor, Extra-Large Feed Tube, 625 W, 11-Cup Capacity

I’m really happy with my Cuisinart Pro Custom 11. It has plenty of power and handles everything I throw at it—nuts, veggies, you name it. It makes nut butter in about 6 min and quickly chops or dices ingredients evenly. Hard cheeses gave me a little trouble at first, but the manual mentions cutting them by hand beforehand, so that wasn’t a surprise. Cleanup is simple, especially since the parts go right in the dishwasher. My only small complaint is the hole in the bowl that’s exposed once the blade is removed—it can make it a little harder to keep things neat when transferring food. This is my first full-size food processor (I only had a hand-driven one before), and the difference is night and day. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, powerful food processor for home cooking.

Could be Best purchase for larger family, but for small there’s a smalller version of this that get used regularly

I bought this processor to replace a 40+ year old Cuisinart classic that finally gave up the ghost. I loved that machine! Simple to operate, just one button (on, off, pulse), easy to clean, powerful enough to easily make dough. I wanted another one just like the other one, and this is as close as I could get. This one works fine, but I had so much trouble fitting the lid on the bowl every. single. time. I used it that I finally donated it today. For some reason, Cuisinart changed the lid design on a number of their processors so that the bowl handle is still in front but the lid secures on the opposite side - away from the user, so you can't see what you're doing. Sometimes it clicks into place, sometimes it doesn't. And of course, if it doesn't, it doesn't work. Yesterday what should have been a 10-minute job took half an hour because I couldn't get the lid to click. Part of what I was doing was making bread crumbs, and I really needed a processor. I finally switched to a mini, which took much longer and didn't crumble as finely, but it worked. That's when I put this one aside to donate. So if you have eyes in your hands this will be an excellent purchase for you. For me, I just ordered an 8-cup Elemental, which has a smaller motor but has the bowl and lid working together on the same side and is very sleek-looking. I don't cook as much as I used to, so I'm hoping the Elemental will be the last one I ever need. Update: the Elemental arrived and had to be returned because of a materials defect. But on ordering again, I noticed that this model now has a lid that secures on the same side as the handle, so that's what I ordered. And hallelujah, that's what arrived. It's the good ol' Cuisinart simple beast, perfect for my needs. Apparently there are still some models that lock the lid on the back. I guess the moral of the story is, look very VERY carefully at the photos and make sure what you're ordering is the version you want.

Review: We use this Cuisinart food processor at work to prepare food for residents who require altered diets, including mechanical and pureed diets. It works very well for what we need it to do and helps us get the food to the appropriate consistency for certain residents. For this type of food preparation, getting the consistency right is important, and this processor has been working well for us. It’s been a useful piece of equipment for preparing these specialized meals, and based on our experience with it, I’m very happy with how it performs.

We downgraded from a 14-cup model after its bowl wore out. This 11-cup version is less powerful and less sturdy but comes with all of the blades most people want, at a much lower price. Of course, its liquid capacity is lower: making 2 cups of salsa works but 3 cups are too much. Its motor is adequate but not as fast as the bigger model. On the plus side, it's a bit smaller and easier to store, comes with three slicing disks and a chopping blade, a spatula plus an additional lid for when you are only chopping (not using a feed tube). Overall, it's hard to beat this entire package, unless you must have that bigger, stronger, sturdier but significantly higher cost 14-cup model.

I love this model. I had the same type previously, and after ~ 30 years it quit. The newer model has some improvements which make it easier to use and more adaptable for different needs. No complaints at all.

I have used this model of 11 cup food processor for 10 years now, replacing parts as needed and the actual base twice, for a total of 3 machines in 10 years. I use it daily, professionally (although be warned, in spite of the fact that it is called 'Pro' and they advertise that it is 'for a chef', the warranty will not cover professional use, only household use.) The machine itself does a great job and I would highly recommend it, yet they made a major design change for this latest model and it is terrible. Rather than keeping it simple with the lid and food pusher, they created a lid that requires a 'pusher sleeve', which is a frustrating contraption that is difficult to clean, and it is made of very flimsy plastic which MUST connect with a slot to engage the motor. As we predicted the moment we saw it, the piece broke after a month of use, of course just past the possibility of returning by way of Amazon's generous policy. Getting a new one is expensive and I fear it is something we will repeat several times over, as Cuisinart offers no options for the machine at all, according to the company representative I spoke with by phone. They do not have a mechanism for feedback, so I am under the impression that they do not care what the customer thinks about the product. We have continued with this line so that we can reuse the parts from past models that are still in good condition, but the next time this piece (or any part) breaks I will bite the bullet and purchase an entirely different brand. This may not be as big a concern to the home user, however the minute I saw this new part, I groaned inwardly knowing that it would break within a few uses, even at home, and I'm not even willing to swap it out for the one I use at home because of that issue. The experience has been far more frustrating than it needs to be since the company will not help me with this problem, nor guide me in finding a suitable replacement (she was not interested in my experience at all. When I called for assistance in finding a machine we could use she just told me to go on to the web site and figure out which things might work for me), or listen to feedback.

I owned two food processors (a different brand) prior to this one. Neither one lasted more than 4 months. This Cuisinart product is sturdy and reliable. I use it almost daily to make sauces, cream cheese and other cheeses, and baked goods (even those with thick dough). I highly recommend this product to anyone, especially if you are Vegan like myself.

The product is probably great, but I haven't had the chance to try it because it is not adapted for the EU market. I couldn't plug it in, so unfortunately I had to return it

No blister switches to crack and fail, all the power you need and consistent slicing. America Test Kitchen top pick, I can see why. I liked our prior Cuisinart unit but thus unit is smaller footprint and all the performance.
