Natural Aluminum-Free Deodorant Stick, Unscented

I'm sitting here in stinky misery because I strayed from this deodorant. What better time than now to write a review than while I'm awaiting my delivery? I've tried maybe a dozen natural deodorants in the last decade and this is the only one that controls the odor. Every other one I've tried immediately has an undertone of odor that gets worse as the day goes on, even after re-applying. I first started using this back when it was Primal Pit Paste. Yes, the formula seems to have changed since then and it doesn't seem *as* effective, but it glides on easier (the previous formula you had to let it melt on your skin for a few seconds so you didn't end up pulling your pit skin) and still provides all day stink protection. It seems like there's less in the container now, or maybe more comes off now that it's smoother, because the new formula doesn't last as long as the PPP did. Not so great since it's so pricey, but it's the only deodorant that works for me. One of my favorite things is if I forget to immediately put the deodorant on after a shower, no worries. Even if I'm already starting to stink, I put this on and it kills any bacteria already making me smell. No other natural deodorant has ever done that. The only negative I have to say (besides pricing) is that it gives me chemical burns/rashes if I use it every day. It's so strong that I can go several days without reapplying, even after showering. Over time I've found a balance of using it only when I start to smell and that way my sensitive skin doesn't get a rash. If you're getting a rash/burns, stop use until it heals and then try using less frequently or switching off every other day with a milder deodorant. Even when I try to save a few bucks and buy a different deodorant, I always have to come back to this one. I apparently just stink so bad no other deodorant can compare so I swallow the price pill and keep buying.

I like it. Clean ingredients. And unscented.

Really wanted to support a clean company. I typically use natural clean deodorant but this is SO dry, that it literally doesn’t glide onto my armpits. I have even tried to let the stick “melt” for a couple seconds to improve the glide (body heat) and it doesn’t work. My armpits hurt after putting it on and I now have marks from the stick skipping and roughing up my armpits. I will say it smells great and DOES work (no bo) but cannot take the roughness. Won’t purchase again.

Let’s start with the great- I have sensitive skin but also work hard and need a deodorant that keeps up- and this one does! A friend told me about this and it’s pricer that what I was using but it works, really good! Im a huge fan of its capability. The challenging- I gave it 4 stars because they discontinued a great scent and this one was rough... They used to have a lemongrass one that was a great scent then they discontinued it so I tried coconut lime and it was gross (but that’s part of the risk buying on Amazon v in store). I would put the deodorant on, then spray the armpits portion of the shirt with a perfume to lessen the smell of it. I’ll definitely get this deodorant again, I just need to find a new scent that works.

Goes on rough! Will be changing brands.

I wanted to switch to a natural deodorant after years of using a common store brand. I’ve been on a search to find a fully functional, natural deodorant, and an unscented one if I could swing it… I love this deodorant! I will say - it took a couple of weeks for my body to truly adjust to using it. The first week I felt the deodorant didn’t work at all and needed to adjust to the texture. I smelled body odor the first week… I have heard about the “adjustment phase” essentially your body detoxes from the chemicals/ your old deodorant - so I stuck it out! I can honestly say that after 3-4 days my odor lessened and by the second week it worked really well for 6-8 hours. When I exercise, I do like to clean my underarms with a water wipe and then add a fresh layer before kicking it up a notch in the sweat department. Also, I would advise you to keep this deodorant out of the sun/ the heat. On a long hot car ride, I melted one & had to use my fingers to spread it on like a paste - but it still worked! I’m subscribed, been on this Pretty Frank train for a few years now and I’m not getting off willingly! Love this brand! So glad I gave it a solid chance!

The product is like a thick paste, a bit frustrating to apply but it smells lovely and seems to work if your body doesn’t react to it not being PH balanced. In my case I had an allergic reaction to it and a terrible rash that burned and itched, but again that is my reaction.

I’ve tried a few natural deodorants, this one works great. I have gotten rashes from natural deodorants with baking soda, but this one does not cause that issue. No smell, no rashes, no aluminum or nasty ingredients. I work in manual labor and even when sweating in a warm environment I get no odor. Highly recommend!
