Lasko 16" Ceramic Space Heater with Console - Black - CT16450

I've only just yesterday received my cute little space heater that I named Simon. I've been searching for a space heater for my 3 season porch. It's only about 8' x 10' BUT 3 sides of it have large windows and my area has been seeing temperatures well below 0°F. I keep it heated for my plants that need to stay at least 60°F. *For the last 2 winters, I had a Lasko brand heater running continuously from October til May - so altogether 14 MONTHS running before it stopped heating as well as it needed to. I'm telling you; to look at this unit, it's petite but it can blast nice HOT air like it just finished eating red hot chili peppers (woot-woot! to RHCP band 😍) like the ones that killed that villain in Dumb and Dumber. Lasko makes some nice, SAFE heaters that last for a long, LONG time. This little guy had no trouble keeping the room temperature at tropical level. That also means that iguanas wouldn't be falling out of trees back there if I ever put a tree and an iguana back there. BONUS! Yeah, I mos def recommend this mini sized, stinkin' powerhouse of a space heater for a back porch, a chilly bathroom or even for helping revive a frozen iguana. Laskos are j u s t. t h a t g o o d! This Lasko ceramic tower heater has been excellent for keeping rooms warm during colder days. The heat output is impressive for the size, and it easily warms up a bedroom or office without needing to run constantly. One thing I noticed right away was the heating speed. It starts producing warm air almost immediately, which is perfect when you want quick comfort without waiting around. The temperature control is simple and effective. I like being able to adjust the thermostat and switch between the two heat settings depending on the room temperature. The oscillation feature also helps distribute heat evenly throughout the space. Another big plus is the versatility. It works great in different rooms around the house, and the built in safety features like overheat protection provide extra peace of mind. Overall, this heater combines convenience, strong performance, and useful features at a very reasonable price.

This heater replaced another ceramic fan-forced heater. This is smaller and MUCH quieter. The heat output on low seems to be the same as the high setting on the other heater it is replacing. On high it produces a lot of hot air. The oscillating feature is nice to dispurse the heat. I love the thermostat as when it reaches the desired temp, it shuts the whole thing down (the other heater left the fan running). It is running in a 12x12 room and does quite well at keeping it comfortable. The only negative is that the red light on the front of the unit stays lit all the time, not just when it is turned on and running. Like the clock on the VCR, it's easily fixed with some black electrical tape! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

WORK GREAT AND VERY QUIET BUT STOP WORKING AFTER 2 MONTHS, HOW CAN I SEND THIS BACK.

I live in California, the state that thinks it's a European country. Energy prices are high everywhere, but they're ridiculous here, we pay 30-50¢ per khw, and natty gas this year makes that look like a deal. Heating my whole house is not happening this year. I refuse! So we have a little oil filled radiator. These take about an hour to warm a room and are heavy and take up valuable space in a closet for half of the year. My requirements were: Energy efficient, light weight, small. Basically this thing works like a blow dryer. It heats up it's ceramic plates and blows air across it. That means it gets hot instantly, unlike an oil filled radiator which has to heat the oil first. It also is cool to the touch when you shut it down. My office is in a huge room in our house, I'd need two or three radiators to heat it and it wouldn't get hot until noon. What this is good for is heating up your immediate area and if you happen to be in a bedroom or something, this would probably warm that space quite well. Pros: This thing is light weight, I think they say 4lbs. It's easy to move around. It's small. It will easily store away in a closet or a shelf and still leave plenty of room for other stuff. It gets hot fast. Within seconds. It has 2 heat settings, 900 and 1500. At a few feet away, 900 is great. The fan is quiet! Louder than my oil filled radiator (which is virtually silent) Quieter than my air purifier on medium. Cons: Smells like an environmental hazard when first turned on. I'm optimistic this will go away in short order. The fan has 1 speed, that speed is low. If you want to blow hot air all around a big room, vornado has some better options. It could have a 500 or 600 watt setting for truly economical running. 900 watts for 6 hours per day is $60 a month for California energy prices. 500 watts is $32.88. Just a few short years ago, it would have cost a mere $18 per month to run it at 900w... but that's life! Heating my house with natty gas as minimally as possible would run about $232 a month. So it's still a deal. There were cheaper options and better looking options, but this hit the sweet spot for size, features, and Lasko is a brand that is if anything these days, fairly reliable. I hear their customer service is poor but they probably just import these things from China and slap a label on it. Everything I've gotten from them seems to work.

Had a Lasko for years before this one, and it was fantastic. Eventually the oscillation broke because I kept dropping it. User error, not a comment on the quality of the device imo. This new one is serving me well!

Super powerful and actually gets warmer than I needed

I have to say I am impressed. First off it is QUIET. I can barely hear it running compared to my old 1500 watt Comfort Zone heater. The fact that it is quiet doesn't mean the fan is weak either. I can feel heat from 4 feet away, which is something my old heater never did even when it was new. It's also much hotter as well, even though they are both 1500 watts. I chose this model Lasco because I wanted an old style thermostat, as I have read too many complaints about newer model electronics units. It turns on and off as needed just as it should. My only concern is the absence of anti-tip shut off function, as this unit will run even if it is knocked over onto its side. There is a slight smell when running but that is not uncommon with new heaters. Time will tell if it will last as long as my old heater but so far I am confident that it was money well spent. With 8 degree temps tonight, this bad boy is definitely going earn its keep. UPDATE-11 months later and the power switch is cooked. I ran this heater on low power 95% of the time. The switch started to lose connection on low power last month, so I started to use the high side. The switch is now totally inoperable and is fused together on high but does not run. I still love the heater but it is obvious that the manufacturer chose to use a switch that can't handle the current required to operate the heater for long periods of time.

Tengo años con el, es muy potente y eficaz. Calienta una habitación rápido. Se me ha caído bastantes veces y sigue funcionando . Eso sí, consume bastante energía , aprox usándolo 3-5 veces por semana en invierno el recibo de luz se sextuplica , para mí no es un problema pero considero que es bueno mencionarlo. Suerte 🍀

Je suis très satisfaite de ce radiateur. Il ne prend pas beaucoup de place et fonctionne très bien. Ma porte patio jette du froid sur le plancher de bois flottant. Ça répond à mes besoins par grand froid. Le seul hic est que sa chaleur est trop dirigée et propulsée au sol. Il faudrait que la grille soit un peu plus haute. Je reste tout de même satisfaite. Ma remarque est surtout pour le fabriquant.

This small heater is surprisingly good. It quickly warms up my living room and is not loud. I've noticed though that I can't use it at the same time as other electrical items. For example when I use it at the same time as my microwave, the electricity trips.

Tal cual como lo comentan, es ideal para espacios pequeños y su tamaño es muy compacto, en mi caso si tarda varios minutos en calentar un cuarto de 4x3x3, pero lo hace. Además me agrada que la perilla permite fijar una temperatura y cada cierto tiempo se vuelve a encender para mantenerla. Solo una observación, como varios calentadores tiene una potencia de operación alta de 12.5 A, es decir 1500W, si lo conectan mediante extensión (y suponiendo que solo se conecta el calentador), procuren que tenga un calibre adecuado para evitar algún riesgo de cortocircuito, tipo calibre 12
