Must have for W body cars
My carpet in my 2006 Grand Prix kept getting soaked anytime it rained or I washed the car. Very frustrating to deal with. After reading up on forums I came across this part number and all my issues have been resolved thanks to this product. It covers the air filter and directs the water into the drain. Part was extremely easy to install. It fit perfectly and I have zero complaints.

Works great
It's a permanent fix to the water getting in through my cabin air filter of my 2004 Monte Carlo. I honestly think GM should have taken care of this problem as it is a design flaw of this body type W. Mine was leaking so bad my entire car flooded and had to replace carpet. I called the local Chevy dealership and they had no idea of the part I was looking for. So glad I found it here. The shipping was really fast as well. I recommend reading this post on Monte Carlo forums. This is how I found the fix. http://montecarloforum.com/forum/fwd-tech-guides-95-07-62/permanent-cabin-air-filter-water-problem-fix-26663/ it's a thorough explanation of how to use it and what you may need to do to your existing cowl to make it sit correctly with this part installed.

Part fits 2004 Cenury with simple modification
With a simple modification, the deflector fit perfectly on my 2004 Buick Century. This part corrects a design flaw that allows rain water to enter the passenger side of the cabin through the cabin filter box. Total time, including modification of existing cover (score and break off flange on existing cover) this allows the proper fit after the deflector is installed -- 15 minutes. Poor engineering or lack of concern for the customer, in my opinion, is why GM went bankrupt -- serious issues such blower motor failure, blown fuses, and ruined carpet could have been avoided with the addition of this $8 part. The dealers are either unaware or deliberately ignorant of this fix. Thank goodness for YouTube, Amazon and the dealers that make this part available through them.

High quality GM part. Saves blower motor and electrical issues.
I like how it fit like a glove. I put it in a 2004 Monte Carlo. I cant believe I've had this car for 6 years and out of no where my passenger floor started flooding. So for now I'm the only one changing my cabin filter. I just wish the part was a little cheaper. But it's a real GM part and it's high quality. I wouldve took a picture but the day I got it, but it was raining and it was working so well I just wanted to put it all back together.

You can look uo installation on YouTube Videos on a like GM cars of the same class
I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP 2 door coupe. Kept getting water in through the heater box . This item fits my 1997 , though its not listed in description. The wiper cowl , " grill around windshield wipers " does have to have the lip on the under side of wiper cowl removed. I used a small 4"grinder. You can look uo installation on YouTube Videos on a like GM cars of the same class. Easy Peasy install. Keeps the water from getting inside the vehicle .

Helped greatly
I own a 2003 Chevy Impala and for some reason there is an issue with water getting into the car from the drainage area. This guard worked fantastically and I was able to solve the problem.

Seamless
Great fit for my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. While replacing my cabin air filter I noticed I needed more protection from the rain and this fit the bill perfectly. It slides seamlessly onto the windshield and deflects water off to the side preventing it from accumulating mud and water in the wrong places. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to better weatherproof their car. Great GM quality.

it's a piece of plastic that GM should have given for free since their poor design is the reason it's needed to begin with
well i got it. it's a piece of plastic that GM should have given for free since their poor design is the reason it's needed to begin with. unless of course you don't mind replacing a blower motor every year or two.

Just what we needed to stop the leaking!
This saved us a lot of problems. If your Impala is leaking on the floor boards and you can't find the leak, get this product and that will more than likely stop the leaking.
