Seems to shift and perform better than the old 9spd xt cassette xtr derailier it replaced, yes it was ageing, but almost night and day difference, almost silent by contrast. Direct swap, no fuss, relatively easy to install, though i’m experienced in that department, i think most capable diy’ers with a decent bike tool kit could do in under 2 hours including necessary maintenance with hub bearings etc. For the money, excellent combination. Sunrace will replace my other bikes sram cassette when it finally wears out. Range of gears also very good even with a 34t up front, the steep bits may be a struggle if your legs aren’t up to it, maybe a 32t is better suited to your needs if this is your thing. Personally i prefer a speedy combo rather than a climby one. Couldn’t find a better alternative at this price point, seller was speedy, same day in fact for me. Don’t know how they do it so well. Bravo.

The M5100 shifter was advertised with a gear display however the one I received did not had that feature. Shifters with a display is something I look into when getting a bike as I find it useful for me. I haven’t installed this yet so can’t give a word of mouth how it performs but so far it looks like top quality shimano parts. Just a bit disappointed by the shifter

Was going smooth untill chain snapped i had to remove a link and now my gears arnt smooth no more when chains abit shorter now I need a replaced KMC chain . I wanted to get in comtact with seller but can’t Because I need a replaced chain

Gear shifters are broken

KMC chain is good quality, does the job with no hassle. Shimano Deore Rear Mech is good, shifts well, clutch is very effective. There is a noticeable reduction in noise over rough terrain if you are switching over from a non-clutch mech. Sunrace cassette works well, how long the black finish will last remains to be seen and largely depend on how clean and well maintained it is kept but initial results are promising. The Deore trigger shifter I received was the version without the gear indicator rather than the one shown in the photos.
