Lovely little mp3
Brilliant little mp3 player. Brought for my daughter and she loves it. Easy to set up and load music onto. Also allows Bluetooth to connect to car /wireless headphones

Good player with some issues you may struggle with
AGPtek mp3 players are mostly well built, capable players, let down by some poor ui design and lack of available usage information. This is the best player I've bought yet, but some of its issues are properly awkward. So. First, Bluetooth. Unlike the player it's replacing (an A02S) its bluetooth functionality seems greatly improved. For one thing, it seems to find devices fairly quickly and, unlike some players, you don't seem to sacrifice a ton of functions in order to make use of it. And it's reasonably intuitive. It seems to need to be activated every time you use it, though, and you have to navigate back to the music functionality afterwards. Sound quality seems pretty good - but the equaliser is best ignored. Add on card management - spotty. The player only looks in one place for stuff to play. So if you've navigated (via the folder option on the menu) to your plug in card, it won't play anything stored in internal memory until you've accessed it via the folder option. At which point, you lose the card. If you have a playlist stored in the internal memory but you last accessed the plugin card, you can still try to open your playlist, but the player will tell you that it's empty. Making playlists is complicated, for that reason. The easiest approach is to use the player to build a playlist from a track you've navigated to, then edit the created playlist in a text editor using what you can see about how the player made the playlist as a learning tool to help you extend it. You will be best served by ensuring your mp3s are named with the track number preceding the rest of the filename, with an appropriate number of leading zeroes, if you want your albums to play in track order. The touch sensitive part of the screen is restricted to just the button elements in the bottom half. I keep trying to use it like my phone - I imagine I'll get used to it! The touch sensitive buttons really are very easy to activate by accident, so I find it's a good idea to tap the power button (switching the screen and buttons off) before putting the player down or in a pocket or whatever. If there's a button lock function that leaves the screen on, I haven't found it yet. The front panel attracts fingerprints like crazy. I hope there's a good screen protector out there... Oh, playback resumes where you left off after power down without fuss. It also starts playing if it was playing when you switched off, or not if you paused it first. I'd rather it always started paused but that just means I need to remember to pause it before powering down... Oh, and unlike my older Agptek player, the display doesn't include the track progression data (like, track 6 out of a playlist of 15 should show something like 6/15 and just doesn't.) The bookmark feature remains limited to a time offset with no tie to the specific track being played, which is another old complaint, so it's less useful than it might be, along with the failure to merge internal and external music databases. Because of the database limitations, you may prefer to keep related things grouped in folders and build playlists yourself. That's a bit of a pain but it's educational... 😀 But if you can cope with (or don't care about) the technical limitations, it's still an amazing player for the price. 32gb and feels robust and solid (although I wouldn't recommend bouncing it off solid objects, those screens are probably not shockproof...) If Agptek are paying attention, your firmware definitely needs work but there's the basis of something amazing and brilliant here...

Solid Quality Player
Bought after looking at few players, was after something cheap as I had just lost a player (which duly turned up after the purchase!) Main drive of the purchase is the 32GB internal storage giving the price, Bluetooth 5 and the stylish looks. On receipt I was impressed with the overall quality, the device does have a sleek feel and look about it. However I think you can ignore the video and text features as the screen is too small. Sound quality is fine with Amazon Echo Buds and even the included wired phone buds are reasonable. Note that the Bluetooth is version 5 which will given even longer battery duration when paired with equivalent buds like the Amazon Echos. The only niggle was that only the included USB cable would allow me to transfer music on the device, all my other USB cables allowed charging but no transfer. A bit odd but there you go - I almost sent the device back till I found this out. Not tried much else out as it works fine as a mp3/Flac player. The random does seem to be ordered as per transfer order, so not really random. Overall very good value for a quality device that shouldn't disappoint most people with reasonable expectations. Oh and the battery seems to be decent quality as well, this is the key thing to worry about with cheap players as this is often where costs are shaved. Really quite impressive.

Much better than some reviews suggest
I love this mp3 player! Strong Bluetooth connection and a fantastic sound with a pair of good quality headphones, I use Bose qc35ii and Sony xm4. I checked quickly through my folders to check the order of tracks. Then dragged and dropped straight into the “Folder” section, NOT the mp3 section! I uploaded around 100 albums and not one track was out of place! The album info was all there too. It feels reassuringly solid and well made! The only slight drawback is that you have to go back a few steps each time you would like to go to a different album, (no idea how there could be another way of doing that so not a problem) otherwise it will happily play through your albums in the order they are in your folder…,all day! The battery life is excellent! Seems to me that they have addressed many of the problems other people have encountered and I think they need commended for that! It’s a great little player and beats the HyBi one I had to send back hands down! (That was almost £400 and you couldn’t turn your head without dropouts or slurring of sound! This is bombproof and connects very quickly to previously connected devices) Also I couldn’t notice any difference in sound quality despite the £350 difference! Better in my pocket, just like this little gem! A great buy!

Arrived without functional OS, works fine since firmware upgrade
As it had arrived without functional OS and the user manual provided little help until I found the online version of it, which is extended and more detailed, I cannot give it 5 stars. After searching FOREVER for the Firmware upgrade that could help the situation (no charging helped, the screen remained black before that), I one needs the A19's last Firmware update and follow the instructions in it to actually make the device into something functional. Now that I have started to use it, I am making good use of the extended storage with microSD, bringing the storage capacity to around 128GB for me. The volume of the system is fine, the OS works quickly, and it has no issue connecting to my bluetooth headset. Download the digital PDF instruction manual, that one is good. I have only used the music side, and mostly MP3 at that, so I cannot comment much on compatibility. It really is a good device, but the starting motion made me a little bit peeved, as someone with less knowledge than I would have been severely disappointed.

Value for money, solid structure
Written after 1 week of use, did not use bluetooth. Better built than what might seem at first glance, back cover is not plastic but metal. Jack, screen, buttons and all is good. Did not trigger any glitches yet; as some people noted (in AGPTEK website there's firmware upgrades for the system, just make sure you need it and is the right one, under A19 found several downloads). Box is neat, comes with basic earphones and instructions. About the sound chiplet, well, if you tweak the equalizer settings you'll get the most of it. I noticed that for radically different music styles needs to be changed (i.e. one setting goes OK with metal but will blur techno songs, viceversa). Sounds better than an old cheap mp3, but quite expectedly won't sound better than a 250 GBP phone or a studio player (FiiO). For a budget, battery saver and alternative to overpriced old brand systems... Does very well. You travel a lot, go on long hikes and listen on wired headset, then it's perfect. I don't think that will give 40+ hours as I remember seeing, but it was a good 7-8 hours to make the battery drop by one line (screen off, volume to 1/3). And a tiny detail, on the custom firmware noticed that keeps last played point, but only if shut off without pausing what's played. The buttons tap cool and it's probably a shame that did not included any games on it, cause it could handle something. It has a lock button, but that would have been better with a physical slider, cause when you lock it just by grabbing to put in the pocket, can unlock itself.

Didn't work after 1 week use.
I bought this product as my ipod nano was on its way out (been using it for around 4-5 years). I can't really afford another one, so this seemed like an ideal replacement. I have only used it around 4 times in the last week while training in my room. It was not in my pocket or anything, it was nearby but not on my person, so I do not understand after 4 times the buttons no longer respond. It seems the buttons used to navigate the device are considered 'touch screen' and not actual buttons. I have tried multiple times over the last few days to no avail, none of the 'buttons' respond no matter how many times I try/restart. The volume buttons and the power on/off work, but what good is that if I can't select any music? I am really disappointed and wish I could get a refund, but in all honesty if anyone reads this, please do not buy it, I really wish I did not buy this. Also the playlist function is very strange, if you want to make a playlist, you have to manually add each song into 1 of 3 empty playlists. It doesn't sound too difficult, but for each song, you have to press like 4-5 buttons to add each one, instead of a simple 'edit playlist' or an easy add to function. Overall, this is not value for money at all.

A wonderful upgrade to my previous players
This is my third unit and it is a marvel. Way superior to the previous two. I used my previous two so much that I literally wore them out. The first died when the battery would not recharge. Have since learned that you never ever let the battery go so low that it shuts off. The second one still works, but I ruined the earphone jack because of the way I was using it. Won't do that anymore. You need the wired headphone because it becomes the antenna for pulling in the FM radio stations. Does a great job of scanning in the local stations BTW. This new one just blew me away. It is a slightly larger size which is great for holding and looking at the screen. The sound quality is great and this little marvel works well with wired headphones and bluetooth. I was blown away by how far the bluetooth transmits the sound to my headphones. I left the player downstairs and walked around the house upstairs and everything came through loud and clear. That was a shock. Stll getting used to way the folders are set up for opening up the music files, so it will take a little while. The sound off my MP3 files is just nuts...sharp and clear and clean. This player also comes with several pre-sets for adjusting the sound for your music or you can adjust to hear the sound the way you like it, which is what I did. Indeed, I like this one so much that I am debating on ordering a second one. Recording off of FM radio and recording off of the built in speaker. These work just fine. For example, if there was a special program coming up on your local FM station and you wanted to record to hear later..boom simple easy. You could also download files (podcasts) and then load on to your micro card and insert the card to listen to the program later. So if you are looking for a nice playback devise for working out in the gym, taking a walk, mellowing out before hitting the sack and you do not want to use your cell phone....this is the answer.

Doe maar niet !
Beter spaar je door voor een goede speler, zit totaal geen logica in de volgorde van je mappen. Ik had hem gevuld met FLAC bestanden, maar de kwaliteit was zeer slecht.
