I can't believe USB thumb drives are so inexpensive these days! I picked up this 5-pack of PNY 64GB drives mainly for everyday use - transferring files between computers, making backups, and setting up bootable installers. They’re compact, well-built, and have a smooth sliding design that protects the connector without needing a cap (which I always end up losing). At this price point I can give them away without thinking twice. I ran a quick benchmark on my Mac (Apple M4) and got the following results: Sequential Read: ~135 MB/s Sequential Write: ~32 MB/s Random Read: ~6.3 MB/s Random Write: ~0.04 MB/s For thumb drives like these you won't be editing files on it - it's mostly for transferring, so sequential read/write performances is more relevant. It's right in line with what I’d expect for USB 3.2 Gen 1 drives in this price range. Real-world file transfers also feel quick and consistent. I picked these up to keep on hand for quick carry of large presentations and the like without worry about where I put "that one drive" last time. These are well constructed, easy to handle, and seem to be protective of the USB-A connector. The transfer speed was quick -- quicker than expected at the price point and allowed me to transfer all my files without issue, even large numbers of small files moved smoothly. I haven't seen any data loss or corruption, not that I expected any, but time will tell the full tale. I appreciate a flash drive that fits well in the USB socket without issue -- even when it's invariably upside down as all USB-A connectors seem to be! Finally, the drive does heat up, as I expected, but the casing makes the heat very tolerable right after transfer. I don't think this is a 'hot' drive, in fact it's a cool tool in my go bag. 5/5

Moved lots of data onto this without issue. I did verify the capacity without discrepancy. Cheap with decent speed.

Work as well as expect

I bought these as VERY FAST INSTALL disks for windors etc. They were cheap and not less than 5x faster streamig Big files as the CHEAP USB2 drives ( 30MB/s max). If you want crazy fast.. Put a 2.5 inch SSD in a case or Buy one of the Samsung BAR or similar. 5x 1.5x bigger than needed - perfect for my use. I can give to someone as INSTALL media like Win11 - or better since they will only use 3 times . .1/2 cost USB2 < $5 vs.. $2 usb2 cheapest that you'd use as EMERGENCY repair disk and probably never use . Windows INSTALL disk Must be 8 GB but at very little cost increase 16GB - does all your emergency repair/install disk 64 GB is actually able to contain a WIN11 or Win 10 full basic install and all of your install files or installed for all your basic people .. NOT YOUR games , movies and a Years cached INTERNET .. you need a 240 GB for 90% of non-gamers uses and still have 50GB free . 1 game these days. Look at ventoy if you want to do Multi - boot many ISO or fancier Live image with writes. Seriously - if you want a blinding fast USB 3 drive put an SSD in a case, You can actually Boot and RUN an OS on a crappy old SSD .. The Samsung BAR plus drive are twice as fast at not less than 5x cost. I like BULK and have special drive for advanced uses.. Cheapest drive for just in case.

Really nice, but you need a computer to use them. I thought these were mini computer/monitors. My bad.

Having a 512GB flash drive is plenty storage for my laptop. Haven’t had any data loss compared to the other leading flash drives I’ve encountered in the past. This PNY device is crafted beautifully and doesn’t overheat when you connect it to a laptop. It does work well on Windows and there’s no issue transferring files.

finally a USB that doesn't suck. sustained writes of 30MB/s. Sure there's better out there, but works for the price - i've had another drop down to as low as 5MB/s.

Après m’être trompé en commandant une clé USB de 256 Go, j’ai refait une commande avec un lot de 5 clés USB. Attention au prix : les modèles 64 Go étaient en réalité un peu moins chers que les 32 Go, même si les descriptions ne sont pas très claires. Le vendeur, en revanche, est sérieux. J’ai voulu tester les performances pour confirmer la vitesse annoncée. Globalement, je recommande ces clés USB. Même si nous n’avons pas toujours de ports USB Type‑A en 3.2, cela assure tout de même un bon débit moyen. J’ai mesuré environ 136 Mo/s en lecture et jusqu’à 64 Mo/s en écriture, ce qui reste correct pour transférer de gros fichiers. En revanche, la norme 3.2 ne semble pas vraiment exploitée. Pour comparer, j’ai testé une autre clé USB 64 Go en USB 3.0 mais de meilleure qualité : elle atteint 269 Mo/s en lecture et 194 Mo/s en écriture, soit des performances bien supérieures. Ici, c’est clairement le rapport qualité‑prix qui compense les performances plus modestes.

Un muy buen pack de 5 pendrives, con un diseño moderno y atrevido, además de una lucecita roja que se enciende cuando está funcionando superchula. De momento funcionando sin problemas a la velocidad del rayo McQueen...
