After years of people leaving the screen door open, I finally can relax knowing it is always closed. This is strong enough to close my metal security door without any problem. It is durable, and matches my door. For the inexpensive price, I was super impressed. Operation of it is smooth and can be adjusted, as needed. Installation was easy for my adult daughter to do herself. I definitely recommend this product.

I installed this on our storm door and honestly, it ended up being a really good buy. Big plus right away. I was able to use the brackets that were already on the door from our old closer, which saved a ton of time. It wasn’t completely effortless though. I did have to grab pliers and use a little elbow grease to pull the rod out far enough to reach the bracket. Not a huge deal, just something to know going in. I was able to do it myself without help. Once it was on, it worked exactly how I wanted it to. I adjusted the speed pretty easily and now the door closes smoothly instead of slamming. For context, we actually have both a top and bottom closer on our door, and this one works really well as part of that setup. It feels sturdy, and we’ve noticed a real difference since putting it on. We’re in the Chicago suburbs and the wind can get pretty strong here, and this has definitely helped keep the door from flying open or slamming like it was when our old one broke. Also worth mentioning, I had tried a store-brand version from Ace Hardware before this that cost more and didn’t work for me at all. This one ended up being cheaper and actually did the job. Overall, really happy with it. Solid, works well, and made a noticeable difference right away.

Good quality, easy install. But too much power, and down-regulating does not work. Had to remove one of the two I bought for our glass storm door, but still slams the door when you just let it go.

Working as it should so far. I have this on an exterior screened lanai door around my saltwater pool. Hopefully it will last longer than the previous one that only lasted two seasons.

I had to return the first one I bought because it was making a loud clicking noise every time it closed. The replacement got returned as well because it locked in the open position & would not unlock, despite assistance from the mfr. My original closer was this brand & model & worked great until a bracket broke. I finally just bought a new bracket & stayed with my old closer.

We took off some older Wright door closers for my mother to get around the screened door area easier in her hoverround. After she passed, it was time to put them back on. I purchased two of these to replace the older black Wright door closers. Older ones are whisper quiet, smooth, and have no issues. Installed these and they pop, jerk, and just in general don't operate smoothly. After the third door opening to test, the hold button popped and locked the door. I pushed the button to try to disengage it and let the door close, but it is busted completely and won't work now. One door closer in the trash. I brought out the second one and installed it. Tested it about 10 times, still very jerky/popping when it opens and closes, but it didn't break. So I now have to order another door closer or two at the least. Going to look for one without the "hold button". Very bad product compared to what they used to make.

Après un coup de vent le vérin s’est coincé et il n’a pas été possible de le décoincer. D’après les infos trouvées sur le net, c’est un problème connu.

Compre 3 unidades y una de ellas funciona diferente a las otras dos, la causa no lo se. Dos de ellas cierran la puerta en varios pasos que van reduciendo la velocidad hasta que al final llega al cierre total. La otra no lo hace, pero si puedes aumentar o disminuir la velocidad de cierre, aunque el ajuste para esto es muy sensible, hay que hacerlo despacio y poco a poco.

It is easy to install. Works well. Press the button to stop the door. Open door fully and release to close the door. Closes door slowly.
