Made in the USA - 5 Lbs. Copper Sulfate Fine Grade Crystals. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT MEET PPPA REQUIREMENTS AND IS INTENDED FOR INDUSTRIAL AND MANUFACTURING USES ONLY AND IS NOT INTENDED FOR USE IN AREAS WHERE CHILDREN ARE PRESENT. Review: Spend a little on preventative maintenance to avoid a HUGE bill later! - I use this product a few times a year to prevent roots from going in my sewer line. It is a very inexpensive procedure and so easy to do. I dump around 1 pound of the crystals down the toilet, flush once, and then make sure the line is undisturbed for a day or two (we do this before we go out of town). The product prevents roots from going in the sewer line and it is 100% safe for the pipes. The color of the crystals is a light blue and is more of a granular powder versus crystal format. Whether it is in powder or crystal format, it will still accomplish the same outcome. The 5 pound bag is the perfect size and strength for treating our pipes. Review: Good product! - We have been purchasing this product for years. We use it in our septic system to keep down root growth.

Works Well In A Weak Solution to Keep Urostomy Bags Fresh
I use a weak solution of copper sulfate to prevent bacteria from growing in my urostomy bag. Each time I drain the bag, I squirt 5 ml of a weak solution back up into its drain port using a plastic 20ml/cc syringe with a catheter tip. I keep a saturated solution of the copper sulfate in a 1 quart squeeze bottle under the sink in the bathroom. I then dilute it to about 10% using another squeeze bottle with graduations printed on the bottle. From this 2nd squeeze bottle I fill a beaker and draw the 10% solution into the syringe which I can use four times before refilling the syringe. To prepare the saturated solution, I use about a heaping tablespoon of the copper sulfate in a quart of hot water. As I remember from chemistry, when it is saturated you will see some of the copper sulfate at the bottom not dissolved yet. I don't think the dilution % is important. The copper sulfate keeps the urostomy bag odor-free and the weak solution has not irritated my skin. Actually, the construction of the bags that I use makes it doubtful that the solution will contact my skin or stoma. Additionally, the weak solution makes it doubtful that the copper sulfate could cause a problem. That being said, I have not seen an evaluation of what I am doing by a qualified organization. I have been doing this daily for over 14 months with no problems. Copper sulfate will stain clothing and I have used bleach to remove it from white clothes.

exactly what i needed
I recently purchased copper sulfate pentahydrate powder, and it is exactly as advertised! What I Like: The quality of the powder is excellent. It arrived in a secure package and was exactly the right consistency I needed for my projects. The vibrant blue color is a clear indication of its purity, and it dissolves well in water, making it perfect for my applications. How I Use It: I primarily use this copper sulfate for gardening and as a laboratory reagent. It’s effective for controlling algae in my pond and is also great for various chemical experiments. The instructions provided made it easy to use, and I appreciate the detailed information on the packaging. What I Don’t Like: There’s really not much to complain about. If I had to pick something, I wish the packaging was a bit more resealable to keep it fresh after opening, but it’s a minor issue. Any Problems? I haven’t had any issues at all; it’s been consistent in performance every time I use it. What Others Should Know: If you need high-quality copper sulfate pentahydrate, this product is a reliable choice. It performs exactly as advertised, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a dependable source!

Good for swimming pool treatment, following mixing directions.
Delivered promptly as described. Does the trick in swimming pool when treatment needed, just be carefull to premix with water in a dedicated bucket, dont pour directly into pool or it will stain tile and finish blue (slowly wears off if you do).
