PALEO Friendly - PRIMAL Protein Bars by MariGold Bars (ChunkyChoco Pecan)

Product arrived wrapped in ice pack and sealed well, 4 days sooner than expected! I was not aware that they would only last one week in the refrigerator, but you can freeze them up to one year so that works just as well. I froze them immediately as I knew I would be eating them sparingly, but to my surprise, I ate 2 the first day and soon realized I could over indulge very easily. For me it is the texture that I really like. They do taste good, but will say it is somewhat of an acquired taste. I think it is because they are very low in sugar so you don't taste that sweetness that you get in most other bars. Actually since I am attempting to cut sugar, I am not unhappy with this aspect of them. The real test is when I went back to work, I had some Atkins bars in my drawer for snacking (which I have always liked very much). I ate about half of a very small bar and felt queasy in an instant. I could not eat the rest as it was way too sweet. Having said that, I ordered the Choco Walnut, and they are full of nuts and chocolate pieces and very chewy which I LOVE. The bars are small, but frankly I have found that one is quite filling if you eat is slowly and don't devour the whole thing in one bite (like my husband! lol). I know I will be ordering more very soon. I hope more flavors will be available, but nuts and chocolate are my favorite! Thank you for a great bar that is GOOD for me.. oh and my husband if he gets to them before me! (lol)

Yummy, healthy and lightning fast and friendly delivery!! I'm so happy that they are low in sugar and high in protein and a premium ingredient bar. I ordered the choco-walnut flavor and next time will try the salted caramel flavor.

I have rarely written a bad review and don’t believe I have ever given a product a one star. I feel particularly bad doing this because I think the owner and producer of these bars is attentive and caring, judging by her note attached to the bars. My concern about the bars is that they are practically inedible. They taste like you are eating a cold (put them in the fridge) piece of wax. I feel certain that the producer has integrity and that the product contains all she says it does, but they taste awful. Too bad. I tried to get back to them a few times in the hope that they tasted better. Eventually I threw them in the garbage. An expensive lesson but such is life.

These are killer when warmed. Oh my god they taste like a brownie with chips of chocolate when they were warmed up. I received these bars super fast within two days. I was impressed by the packaging, they were package with ice and a protective bag to keep it cool. Marigold wrote little personal notes, which I thought was adorable, it made me feel like a special customer. It was her suggestion to try the product warm. That's how I am going to eat this flavor from now on. Yummy. I also ordered a variety pack, which I'm working on now. It does say to try to eat within a week, so I froze many of them. I checked out her website and there are so many others that I would like to try in the future. They are a little difficult to open, I was trying to open one while I was driving. I got it figured out now. They can get a little sticky. Thank you marigold 😍

These taste great and are awesome for the days that I don't have time to eat lunch. I'm allergic to soy, so most protein bars are out, but these are great. Also, dairy products usually give me acne, but so far I haven't had a problem from these. My guess is that since they use casein-free whey isolate, I don't react in the same way that I do to typical whey products. Definitely worth the price, and I already have ordered additional flavors.

I’ve been searching the ends of this earth for a keto friendly snack.. you know, something to fight off the hunger pangs, something quick and easy, one that doesn’t kick you out of ketosis. Well this is a fantastic product and it tastes really good. Sort of like a caramel cookie dough texture. Choco pecan is very good. Packaged really well. I’ll update if anything changes, like if it gives me gas....oh and it’s filling after just a few bites. I like!

First, I would like to note this is my second purchase of protein bars from MariGold. The delivery has been on point each time. Each package has included a small note on each invoice- its a nice touch to have something a little personalized (perk of smaller company). My first purchase was a variety pack and I liked the 3 flavors I tried (included the Chocolate Praline and Dark and Salty). I even liked that you could heat the bars in the microwave (doesnt take long at all). This makes the bars more like an actual dessert. Now, for this purchase, The Primal. This is defintely my favorite tasting bar so far. Im not sure if the difference was the ingredience for sweeteners of the last bars or what (im one of those that can distinguish artifical sugars, substitues, etc. very easily); but, honestly, kudos for MariGold for making a protein bar not taste chalking or just plain bland.
