UMIRRO Absorbent Felt & Silicone Drink Coasters Set of 4, Black

As the headline says, I wanted to replace some sandstone coasters that became a little disgusting over time. Those were cleanable to a point but, after years of absorbing all sorts of drips and sweat off cold glasses it was time for them to retire. The 3 things that I was trying to improve over the performance of the sandstone coasters. 1.) Absorption: The sandstone coasters were pretty slow at absorbing the condensation from a cold glass and would get overwhelmed easily. That would leave a pool of water on top. In some cases the excess water would spill over onto a wood coffee table or end table which sort of equals a fail on the part of the coaster. 2.) Containment: Because the sandstone coasters were just a round flat disc, any excess water that it couldn't deal with just spilled over onto any surface the coaster was sitting on. Again, that's a failure on the part of the coaster. 3.) While the sandstone could be cleaned to a point, the pores eventually got clogged and cleaning them didn't work so well. So I found these and liked 3 design elements. 1.) The synthetic felt material absorbs liquids much faster than stone. 2.) The silicone outer barrier means the liquid can't leak through onto a table. And the silicone lip around the perimeter will contain excess moisture on top from dripping over the edge onto whatever surface the coaster is setting on. 3.) The synthetic felt material that absorbs liquids and be popped out easily and washed by hand or tossed in a load of laundry for a quick low effort cleaning. I bought the black and white marble color with black silicone surround. In part because I thought the dark color would hide spills well and in part because I thought the black and white marble looked decent online. After seeing them in person and using them, I'm not disappointed. They look good and don't show signs of use easily. All in all, I think these are a better solution than natural stone or porcelain coasters for protecting furniture and ease of cleaning.

I wasn’t expecting too much from these but wow. They work really well! Felt absorbs liquid from the sweatiest of glasses. Can clean silicone piece easily. Lightweight. Silicone won’t scratch table and they don’t break when dropped. (I got tired of gluing absorbent stone coasters back together)

Love these coasters. The beautiful they absorb the sweat from the glass really well and they have a silicone bottom so it keeps your tables from getting wet. This is my second order for these coasters.

These silicone coasters are great! They’re super absorbent, don’t stick to glasses, and the design fits perfectly with my decor, major style points. The only downside is that they stain pretty easily, especially with darker drinks, and I can see them getting dirty or even moldy over time if not cleaned regularly. Overall, I’m happy with them!

I'm extremely satisfied. These coasters exceeded my expectations. I love the style and variety and they are very effective. I highly recommend these if you enjoy sipping cold beverages that tend to sweat excessive condensation.

non slip, pop out the insert and dishwasher safe. can change out the inserts if you want a different look. The felt absorbs much more water than I thought they would be able to.

So tired of other coasters getting wet and putting napkins under my water glass. So far these are working very well.

These coasters are ace, I used to get irritated with drips from wet mugs and glasses and they also stuck to the mugs and glasses. They are so absorbent and have had no drips since buying them and no sticking to the mugs and glasses. A must buy!
