What is the widest this can go?? I need 72" between bolt centers. Please advise

If that is the case, do NOT get a universal unit like this. The further it is spread, the more it will flex. Even on my minivan, I wasn't happy with the amount of flex until I put an extra bolt through the "crossbar"(the solid portion in the middle) for a smidge more stiffness.

what is the maximum width it will fit, i want to install it on my travel trailer for a bike rack?

The last one of these I bought, I installed it on my 5th wheel travel trailer and used it to tow a 5x8' utility trailer with my Harley on it from Amarillo TX to the Virginia state line at Bristol, TN at which point I had to get someone to meet me and take my motorcycle the rest of the way into Virginia because you can't legally tow tandem trailers in Virginia. It worked perfectly, which is why I'm back here considering purchasing it again for my new trailer. This time it will just be for cargo management and/ or maybe some camping accouterments if I decide to make something with a hitch mount (dog tie out, grill mount, antenna tower, whatever.

If you want an EZ fit hitch that is completely bolt on, you need to buy the one that is listed specifically for your vehicle, not a "universal" hitch like this one.
