Kollea Triple Jet Lighter, Windproof Torch Lighter with Punch

No, I'm not advising you to take your Kollea Triple Jet Windproof Lighter on a domestic flight... (incidentally, Manchester, Gatwick and Heathrow ALL take this style of lighter off you at check-in - "too powerful", I was told). Back to my review - I previously bought two of these (one in bright chrome, one in dark grey), the dark grey is still working, several years later; the bright chrome curiously packed in with no spark issuing, my having dropped the lighter onto tiled kitchen floor. THIS purchase, of two more dark grey Kollea, has shown to me considerable evolution in what is sold. Now, there is a fine metal finger driver plate to engage with the adjustment screw for flame height/ferocity, also a little plastic jet cleaner tool with two little push-on spigot ends and an extensive instruction 'booklet' in several languages. My previous and current excellent experience with Kollea Triple Jet Windproof Lighter makes me believe my fifteen quid a throw (£15) makes Kollea Triple Jet a very valuable investment.//-end-

Although it wasn't suitable for my needs, I have given 5 stars because it deserves it. It is a heavy lighter than just feels quality. I bought this to use with a Dynavap M7 and my MC. Within only a couple of seconds the cap was glowing cherry red 😱 I have found a little single jet lighter that gives me the control I want, but it doesn't feel as nice as this .

It does the job but I recommend you to use the correct refill and avoid maxing out the flame. After 4 months of regular use, it has lost its jet flame and now lights up like a normal lighter although with windproof.

Bought this just to heat shrink cables when soldering perfect for the job, good size in the hand, not too small

Bought two of these and both were great to start with. First one lost its triple flame and I started to use the other one which did the same. Neither work and I’ve had them two months and probably used them on average once a week each. They are useless to me now as it’s past the return date but they are not as described, they have poor durability and they aren’t, in my view, of merchantable quality and I wish I’d never bought them. They look the part but tha exhausts the list of their merits

I bought this to light my gas torches for jewellery making. They’re not the easiest things to light but the triple turbo flames get them first time every time. The single button ignition is well placed to keep my hands well away from the heat, which is an issue with a lot of lighters where the button is close to the flame. The extended flame outlet also does a good job of keeping skin away from heat. It seems pretty darned robust too, having been knocked off my workbench onto a concrete floor several times without any damage! An easy recommendation.

Come in a nice box, really easy to use, refilling is simple too, flame can be adjusted from the bottom and burns well, it’s a little big for carrying around as an everyday item, so it’s used on the back yard when I go for a cigarette

Lighter works great out of the box Clean three burner and compact, nice weight and size. Problem is that after 6-9 months it stops working. Not going to buy again.

I don't have any prior experience with windproof lighters but this one seems like a good one. Compact which was important for me. Three fierce flames and a seemingly solid build quality.

Génial, très bonne qualité

This lasted 4 months then it stopped allowing me to refill it

Great looking torch lighter, got the gold version. Very easy to fill up and so far, has worked very well. Using it to light up cigars.

This is the second one that I have bought and I love them. I carry one with me all the time and I have the other one in my craft room. They throw a nice even flame without a lot of sputtering and spitting. I use them a lot with paracord and other crafts that have to be heat Sealed. They are easy to light and use. The style is very hand compatible too, for when you are doing a lot of work at one time. I definitely read recommend them to anyone that needs a small direct flame for crafting or other uses. They are beautifully designed, classy and colorful, and would make a perfect gift for someone.
