No plastic sounds or feeling to this which is nice. Fits a super deep mattress with no problems. I can't say weather or not it's waterproof in the sense of spilling a drink on it or something like that but it does prevent sweat from hitting the mattress. It has no effect on sleep quality, it's as if it's not even there.

For those who never knew, this is one of the best investments you can make aside from buying an incredibly comfortable high quality mattress . Most people don’t know or don’t care, but beds and pillows can be incredibly dirty and need to be washed daily and or protected and this is the best way to have stay protected and clean. I’ve been using this queen mattress protector for a couple of weeks now, and it’s been a great addition to my bed. It fits my thicker mattress (about 16") really well, with enough stretch in the deep pocket to stay snug without slipping off. I bought this a few weeks ago as a precautionary measure after our cats went on a bit of a pee rampage. Overall, it works well and provides decent coverage. The sides are not waterproof, but that was fine for our needs. It arrived packaged super tightly, and putting it on the bed was a breeze. It is really stretchy and had a neutral smell out of the package. The only downside is that I wish the cover were a bit thicker, and it does feel slightly “crinkly” under the soft side, though that may be unavoidable with this type of product. That said, it absolutely did the job when one of our cats had an accident. Cleanup was SO MUCH EASIER than dealing with a wet mattress, and the protector prevented any seepage from soaking through. We threw it in the wash immediately along with an enzymatic cleaner, and it came out like new, with no pilling or other fabric issues. Overall, this is a product that gets the job done, and will help prevent extra damage from accidents. Wish it felt a little less like a "diaper" but can't complain all that much when it helps the longevity of our mattress.

It took a few extra days to arrive but it was worth the wait, its just as described and as pictured. It's very durable and thick, and will keep out any wetness or stains. This waterproof mattress cover is the best I have used so far. I am pleased that it has a full skirting to tuck in with an exceptionally deep pocket. The fit does not rely on stretching it so it is easier for me put on the bed and tends to stay in place better. It stays waterproof even when stretched to its extreme and having the absorbent area on top gives me more confidence that any accidents by my older dog will stay contained. I haven't heard any noise out of it and am very pleased. It is soft enough, easily washed, dries quickly. Super value and great fitting waterproof mattress cover.
