I've had the plastic buckle on an add-on strap damaged by rough handling. Will you replace a strap if the buckle gets damaged? thanks

Great question. I'm sorry you've had that experience in the past. Our buckles are superior quality and have the reinforcement button. So, it is unlikely you will have an issue, but if you do, we proudly back all of our products with a 90 day satisfaction guarantee, and if there are any defects beyond that related to quality of production, we'll make it right. Cheers, CJ Untethered

Can I use a padlock to prevent it being removed ?

I was never able to unlock buckle to use on my trip. Had to relocate an old strap that I had taken on a previous trip. should have paid attention to others who had tried to use them unsuccessfully.

Can you use only 1 strap around the middle of the luggage?

Yes! No problem at all to use just 1. Using 2 or more is simply to add length for larger pieces.
