Wow! 🤩 I had the Bostitch and it didn’t hold a candle to this one. I’ll have to do a video next time we need pencils sharpened but we did them ALL today! Super fast, always the perfect Sharpness and it even didn’t sharpen already sharp ones: I’m absolutely amazed. The reviews are right - best dang pencil sharpener! I’d buy it again and again!

Fast, convenient, and smart — I bought the AFMAT PS91 to handle colored pencils and regular pencils up to 12 mm. In daily use, it’s impressed me in many ways — but it also has a few quirks worth knowing. What I like: • Speed & efficiency: It really does sharpen fast. According to AFMAT, a new pencil can be sharpened in about 5 seconds, and a used pencil in about 3 seconds.  • Auto-stop / no over-sharpening: Once the pencil tip reaches a good sharpness, the machine stops, which helps prevent breakage or wasted pencil length.  • Dual sharpness settings: You can choose between a sharper point or a more blunt finish (useful for kids or more fragile leads).  • Wide size compatibility: It supports pencils in the 6–12 mm diameter range, so it works for standard No. 2 pencils, colored pencils, and many art or jumbo pencils.  • Decent shavings capacity / ease of cleaning: The top lid and shavings bin are large enough that you don’t have to empty it constantly, and it’s relatively simple to remove and dump the bits.  • Stable design: Many users report the base has suction pads (or non-slip feet) which help keep it stable during use. 

Sharpens quickly! Sharpens evenly around and is smooth. I like that I can choose how sharp i can make my pencil or blunt it. It doesn't seem to waste my pencil by over sharpening it. I use it for my colored pencils and my black pencils, soft or harder lead it doesn't seem to matter. Does a great job on both.

I did not expect to develop strong emotional feelings about a pencil sharpener, yet here we are. This AFMAT electric pencil sharpener is an absolute pencil-devouring beast. You feed it a sad, dull pencil, and seconds later it spits out a razor-sharp writing instrument ready to tackle crossword puzzles, grocery lists, or the next great American novel. The best part? It PLUGS IN. No charging. No hunting for a USB cable that mysteriously vanished into the same dimension as missing socks. No discovering the battery is dead exactly when you need to sharpen 27 pencils. This sharpener is always awake, always ready, and apparently fueled by pure determination. The auto-stop feature is fantastic because it knows when to quit better than I do. It sharpens the pencil perfectly and stops before turning it into a toothpick. My old sharpeners made pencils look like they survived a bear attack. This one produces points so sharp I feel like I should sign a waiver before using them. If this sharpener were a person, it would arrive early, bring snacks, and have its life together. Five stars. My pencils have never looked more professional.

It's just what I needed and expected. It sharpens fast and quietly. I immediately sharpened every pencil and colored pencil I own. Worth it!

So far so good!! Sharpens so well and stops so my kids don’t let it eat the whole pencil. It’s pretty quiet and it’s a good size. I love how it’s made to easily dispose of the pencil shavings so they don’t spill. I’m hoping it continues to work well!

I love this sleek chunky sharpener it is by far my favorite I had a black one and gave it away, because I wanted a battery operated one thay t was portable friendly. But its nothing like a sharpener that goes fast and you can really define how pointy you want your tip. Not to mention you can use all kinds of sizes. How I have missed this sharpener. I may get another color just for the heck of it and a back up. I bet they will last a long time .

Let me tell you how this pencil sharpener has saved my sanity in a 6th grade classroom. In the beginning of the school year, I had a pencil sharpener that broke the children’s pencil tips more often than not, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and get a new one. The green color is so cute and matches with my greenery theme so well. Anyway, I demonstrated to the students how to use it and it has made mornings so much more efficient. It sharpens super quick AND it automatically stops when the pencil is sharpened. No guessing, no sharpening your pencil to the point that it breaks. I highly recommend it. Very easy to use for all ages and worth the money!

Ótimo produto. É elétrico, precisa ficar na tomada para funcionar. Vem com adaptador e carregador. Ótimo, pois você controla a ponta do lápis e também o tempo que fica apontado. Serve para lápis comuns mais finos e lápis jumbo mais grossos. Gostei bastante.

Me encantó. Deja la punta de los lapices de grafito superfina en su máximo nivel. He usado lapices Staedler Mars Lumograph, Staedler Mars Lumograph Black (que son un nivel intermedio entre grafito y carboncillo) y Caran D'ache graphwood ,y deja muy fina la punta en todos estos. Posdata: No he usado Conté a Paris Pierre Noire u otros carboncillos porque para estos prefiero usar una navaja y lija para sacarles punta.

Taille crayon avec une très belle apparence. Aiguise très bien les crayons de toutes sortes. Il s'arrête de fonctionner tout seul quand le crayon à l'aiguisage désiré. Compact, prend très peu de place sur un bureau. J'adore

Update: after using for a few days this sharpener has lived up to my expectations, so I've upgraded my original 4* rating to 5*. With some reviews specifically stating that the plug is not UK & others making no mention of what is a rather important element of the product, I asked the question on here and received two very helpful replies confirming that it does not have a UK plug and an adaptor is required. So I went ahead and purchased together with a US to UK adaptor. This is a fabulous sharpener - set to the sharpest point I put it through its paces with various brands of coloured pencils (Holbein, Polychromos, Derwent Artists, Luminance, Derwent Drawing). I expected the Drawing to maybe cause an issue being the thickest core and very soft, but it was no problem; lovely sharp point. Auto stop prevents over sharpening and it is very easy to empty. So I'm delighted with my purchase but would suggest to Amazon that it would be more useful to the customer if the 'Buy It With' section recommends an adaptor rather than rechargeable eraser refills!!
