The handle broke on my loyal, long-term, carry-on suitcase. I first thought, 'oh well, I guess this is a good excuse to upgrade to a Samsonite or something.' But then I got sad thinking about how much I like my current one, and had a wild idea I could fabricate something similar or find a replacement. I WAS SO GLAD TO FIND THIS HANDLE. It was exactly what I needed, and works great. *Just make sure you measure the existing holes. The first one I almost bought would have been too long.

My dad must have brought a carry-on luggage when he was in China maybe a decade ago. Eventually I started using the carry-on. While it's cheap, it's a nice design inside to separate things out. Anyway, after some good usage, the luggage handle broke off when I was overseas. I ordered a replacement. The first one I got was a lemon. While trying to screw things in, the screw itself broke in half. I grudgingly got another replacement. This time it worked. All I'd say is before putting the handle replacement in, just WD-40 the metal parts. I think this will make it easier to screw things in. Note that the handle in terms of design and size was a perfect replica of the one that broke off. We will see how long this handle replacement holds up over time. But instead of buying a new luggage, I am hoping this handle here will give the luggage more life. Lets see. Update in a few years!

Perfect fit for a 20 year-old Delsey hard-sided carry-on. It was critical to match the spacing of the two mounting screws for each end of the handle, but all other measurements (overall length, handle length, etc.) were pretty close. The metal end pieces are a sturdier upgrade over the original handle's plastic, and the machine screws seem a better approach than the original's which simply screwed into the plastic end pieces. Installed easily. Impressed so far.

The overall quality seemed to be on par with what was originally on the suitcase that I needed to repair after the airline damaged it, but it only came with one set of screw size that were far too long for a thin-walled plastic shell suitcase like mine so I had to return it and ordered something with multiple sets of screws with different lengths. If you have a thin-walled suitcase, this might not be for you.

Screws are too filmsy. One of them broke inside the zinc alloy tube of the cap. Luckily I retained screws and washer from old handle. So I used them with the second handle in this package.
